My mother moved into Providence Village in Waco. So far they have been great. The facility is well kept, clean, and maintained. The food is good, they are very well fed. Even with COVID still going on they are not doing 100 percent of their activities yet, they're at about 50 percent to 60 percent of them, so there's still a lot going on. They do bingo, obviously. As a matter of fact they never even stopped bingo. They set the chairs up outside everybody's room and call bingo from the hallway. They have church service there, they have two different ones, a Catholic organization and a non-denominational service. They are still doing some of the activities where they take people to places, not the doctors' appointments, but out shopping. Still going on some of the field trips where it is safe. Once a week they have what they call "afternoon delight," which can vary from cookies, cakes, and ice cream. Just something to bright up the week. I have eaten there only once, but my mother says the food is really good and I know they actually have a chef there. As for activities, they are doing more than any other place. Eventually, they will get back to doing everything that they were doing. For the price, I think they are probably on the lower end considering all that they provide.

The rooms are clean the Nurses are sweet. My Father was here for three weeks he may or may not get his required medications. After 21 days they came in and released him with no home health with a catheter. I have called them just to be told they have no case workers on duty. My father has pulled his catheter almost out and is in pain. I have called them and they say they gave orders for home health. I called the home health and they say they have no orders. They assured him that home health would be set up prior to discharge and that has not been done.

Do NOT leave your loved one here. My sister had constant UTI's and finally became SEPTIC!!!!! The staff doesn't care. I told them again and again they were not keeping her clean and changing her disposable brief yet i would visit and find her soaked in urine.

The rooms arent kept clean. The patients arent attended too. My family member had a bedsore and several urinary tract infections. When i visited i found pills under the bed on the floor. They would change sheets and leave them pilled up in the corner of the room on the floor. You are not contacted about anything. They change medication... no call, you get sick......, no call. Thank God, my family member was well enough to tell me what was happening in my absence. They leave the patient on bed pans for hours. Rarely respond to calls to front desk. If you love your family member.......keep looking at other options.

I liked Saint Elizabeth Place, and I think my mother liked it, too. We looked at their efficiency apartment, and she liked it because the bedroom had a little nook with a door, so it can be closed off so it was in a little alcove all by itself. The food was good. They had a library, exercise room, a mass dining area where you can come and go for two and a half to three hours, breakfast, lunch and dinner at times, so you don't have to get up at 6:00.
Provider Response
Sharon824608, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are happy to hear that the amenities we offer our residents left such a positive impression! It's important to us that Heartis Waco not only exceeds living standards, but that we foster an environment where each individual at our community can thrive. We always love to receive great feedback. Thank you!

i wouldn't put someone i didnt like at st catherines. Ever question you ask gets the same answer,."I don't know". no matter when you are supose to get your pills. you will get them all at once in the am so the nurses dont have to come back. the room s arnet cleaned. The staff doesn"t care, The more you complain the worst they treat your loved ones. dont go. when my moms rehab time ran out she was sent home . she wasnt able to take care of herself. she broke her hip in 2 days.

We stopped in at Saint Elizabeth Place in Waco while in the area looking at facilities for our uncle. We were a little late for our appointment, but the staff was very good natured and understanding about it. We were immediately put at ease. The outer grounds were very nice, with plenty of seating for enjoying the outside. Our uncle would really appreciate that, as he loves to be outside as much as possible. We were assured that they could easily accommodate that so that he could be outdoors safely as much as he would like. We liked that is is close by to shopping centers, movies and other recreational activities, as well as hospitals and medical facilities. They take the residents to many events in and around the area. They also host a number of parties and gatherings on a regular basis. We saw several living options, from studios to larger bedroom suites. All were nicely decorated, fresh and clean. The floor plans are ample and many can accommodate an overnight guest easily. The bathrooms were easy to maneuver with safety rails. There are also emergency buttons so that residents may feel safe at all times. It was clear that the residents may enjoy a number of healthy and delicious options for all of their meals. They can order special items and all food is prepared with their health in mind. The snacks are also designed and prepared by their chefs - who offer the most nutritious items available, from veggies to protein bars. They also offer private catering for friends and family visits. Most of all, we really liked the very caring atmosphere that this facility provides for its residents.
