My father has moved into Tomball Retirement Center. They were very easy to work with and did their best to make everything as smooth as possible. It's been a good experience. The facility is nice. The living space seems nice. The assisted and independent are separate wings. Even though they have both, they aren't close to each other, so it does feel more like an apartment. From speaking with my father, it seems like it's going very well. Everyone's worked well with me. I have no complaints. They all seem very kind and caring and there are no complaints at all. I have nothing bad to say about them. With my interaction with them, they've been very good to us. It's clean. Other communities are going to look nicer and newer but this seems fine to me. They have a beauty salon, and they would do your nails. They have a puzzle room and a library. They have a couple of outdoor spaces.

We went to Tomball Retirement Center. The apartments were small, and it didn't have kitchens, it had a little kitchen nook-type thing but there'was no stove, and it was inadequate to cook. It was relatively clean, and the people were OK.

Tomball Retirement Center seems to be more about individual living even though it is assisted living. The rooms are more like small apartments. They have a small kitchenette in each one. The staff was nice, and the residents seemed happy. It's close to my house, only 15 minutes away so it's nice. We liked it. They're also updating all the rooms. We enjoyed the tour.

My brother has moved to Tomball Retirement Center and we're very happy with it. The people were very nice, the place was gorgeous, and we're happy with the establishment. It's a clean place and I'd live there. When he moved in, his room was freshly painted, they come every day and would take care of stuff. He's in assisted living, they don't come and clean every day, but all the trash is taken care of every day. They have a lot of common areas, they have a library and a beauty shop there. They have stuff for the residents but my brother's just not interested. The physical therapist also comes to his room. He's happy with the food he's getting there. I like their staff. The building itself is not a 5-star hotel, but for what it is, it's good. We had to provide the television in his room and the furniture. The rooms come unfurnished.

I moved into Tomball Retirement Center. The staff is excellent, really the friendliest people I've had in a long time. The room is wonderful, with plenty of space. People come in once a week to clean and it's just great. That's good to hear, sir. The food is excellent. Amazing meals. I don't participate, but they do offer activities. The grounds are great, well-manicured, and very nice, well taken care of. I'm enjoying the place.

My mother loves the food in this facility and she has made good friends here. She raves about the home cooking, and this is important to a generation who were wonderful cooks for large families at one time. The Independent living where she is, has a few of the perks that Assisted Living offers and, if she does need someone to come help with something, they can be available to her by using her call button. The staff is kind to work with as a family member. We are thankful she has a place to call home at this time of her life.

I did a tour of Tomball Retirement Center. What it didn't have is that you couldn't prepare your own meal. They had a refrigerator and sink, but you didn't have a stove. The staff answered all the questions. Their rooms were OK. They were sort of small. The amenities were okay, not too many. The overall complex was small.

We made one in-person tour to Tomball Retirement Center. Everything was fine. It was clean, and it smelled good. I went to the lunchroom and looked at the food that was on the salad bar. The people were happy, and they were friendly. It was just not what we would desire to live at. The staff who assisted us was very pleasant. The residents were playing card games. It's an older facility, and both of the rooms they showed us was under construction to be redone. They have a library, and that was it. I just got a glance at it, as I walked out the door. The young lady that took us on the tour, took us solely to the two rooms that were under construction, and then she walked me to the lunchroom because I requested to see it, but she did not make an effort to show it to us. The staff was very personable.

Tomball was an older facility. The rooms were larger, but the bathrooms were too small for my mother-in-law's needs, and it needed some updating. They were redoing some of the rooms, but they had traditional bath tubs with an area cut-out at the side. It looked tiny and awkward to me. They had a chapel, two dining rooms, and everything looked OK. The staff was very nice. They had a view out of the individual units. It was satisfactory but not as appealing as the others I visited.

We visited the assisted living level of Tomball Retirement. I saw a group just exiting out of their common room, and everything there was very nice. The apartments were also nice and they were upgrading some of them. The people that we met seemed content and fine.

I visited Tomball Retirement Center. They had kind and caring people. The place smelled fine and was clean. The personnel seemed very attentive, and the residents seemed very happy. The dining area's setup was fine. If the resident was ill, they were willing to bring a tray to the room without additional charge. It would have been a good fit for my father.

Tomball Retirement has been great so far. It’s clean and nice. The rooms and the apartments were great. The people and the food are good. The price is OK, but I think it’s a little high, and mom’s rent will be increase by January by 85 bucks.

Tomball Retirement Center was a beautiful and huge place. It has a homey feeling to me. We went during dinner time, and the food smelled good and made me hungry, and I was able to snatch a banana. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected, but what I didn’t expect was they were like an apartment. The living room was small and it was kind of cramped to me. It had a reading room with beautiful furniture in there. The lighting wasn’t really bright and comfortable; that’s what I like. In the hallway, they had pictures and a little history on some of the residences; he just happened to be one of them. They made an impact on the people that lived there, so they memorialized them. This one particularly lady could always go out in the hallway and her husband would be there waiting on him, even though he was in the picture hanging on the wall. She said she loved walking up and down the hallway because her George was always there with her.

We really liked Tomball Retirement as they seemed to have a lot of activities available to the residents with different levels of care as needed. We liked the apartment unit that they have for the guest and good use of space there. They were very friendly and nice, and everybody has their own little patch of grass outside the window that they can do what they want with. They have multiple dining areas available to their residents, which I felt was really nice. There’s a smaller one for those people who really don’t want to be part of the big group; the options were nice. It seemed to be a really good facility; I really liked them.

A friend of mine is at Tomball Retirement Center, and overall, it’s fine. It’s a very nice place. They have a very nice garden area where you could sit in the sun with lots of plants and flowers. The place is very, very clean. My friend has her own little dog as they allow pets and have different activities, like they go on day trips, play bingo, and have a big library where you can borrow books. Generally, the place is very nice.

We're living in Tomball Retirement Center and really like it here. We're in a comfortable two-bedroom apartment. We moved here from out of state. Our daughter led us to this place.

Older facility but very homey and my Mom liked it, which is the most important. Price wise is within budget. Residents were out and about, talking to each other. Liked the staff very much. Hospital/Doctors are right across the street. They also have assisted living, which was important because Dad has dementia/alzheimers so at some point if he has to go the AL side they can still stay in the same place.

My brother-in-law ended up at Tomball Retirement Center. He's got a two-room; he's got a bedroom and a sitting room with a small kitchen, and it is actually one of the bigger ones that we saw. It is a little older than some of the other ones, but because of the size and the locality, it was great for us because his doctors are all right there. They do Bingo, and they take them out for ice-cream once in a while. If they request to go somewhere special, they will take them once a week. They take them to some senior thing to play cards and stuff like every other week or something, and they take them to Wal-mart or to AGB once a week; they have lots of activities for them. They have like cookie brunches, and their food is really good; it is exceptional. He has gained 12 lbs. in less than a month. They are extremely courteous and friendly, and that was one of the things that concerns me with him getting used to the place. They go out of their way to introduce him to other people and just make him feel welcome, and he loves it already. They do have church services in the facility. They have a little chapel, and the preacher comes every Sunday; it is in the afternoon that he comes to the chapel. The place is older, but it is homey.

Price-wise, Tomball Retirement Center was the best we found. They had bingo, card games, movie night, people that come in and sing for them, karaoke, and outings. They go to Walmart and out to eat once a month. I was very pleased with the rooms. Their prices are probably one of the cheapest, but the biggest that we found, and for the same price, he is getting a one-bedroom with a living room, his own shut door bedroom, a bathroom, and that kind of stuff. So far, the staff has been very nice and very helpful, and they showed us around. We had to go back to look at the room, and they let us stand and see where he needed to put his bed, living room furniture, and stuff like that. They didn't act like it was a bother or anything. It was clean, I saw them actually doing things with the residents, and the residents seemed fairly happy.

Tomball Retirement Center has been home to my mom now for about a year and a half. I am very please with this facility. My brother and I looked at many different facilities. Some even newer but Tomball Retirement had the homiest feeling, the most activities, and director and other workers were so nice and friendly. They had one of the biggest varieties of levels of rooms. My mom lives in independent care in a 1 bedroom/1bath. She was able to take a good variety of her furniture with her which helped in her transition. I know at some point mom will probably need some help and will need to move to the assisted living part of the facility. Tomball Retirement gives me peace of mind knowing that my mom is in a safe place and cared about.

I put both my mother-in-law and my mother in the Tomball Retirement Center. My mother stayed there twice. My mother-in-law stayed in there for about two years, and she loved it. The people were very caring. You could start out at independent living and have even up to a three-bedroom apartment. There is somebody at the desk 24/7, and they lock all the doors after 9:30. If somebody goes out one of the doors, they have alarms. Nobody can come in to the facility after 9:30 except through the front door which is also locked. They have a person there that will hit a buzzer and let somebody in. They had plenty of parking areas for the people who are independent. You never have to go outside. They had a washer and dryer on the independent floor for free. They had a beauty shop and a chapel. It's a beautiful place. They didn't have a big turnover there. People would come there and pretty much stay. If you needed more assistance, you could move on up to an assisted living wing. They had exercise, wine tasting, things in the evening, and bible studies. They had a beautiful well-stocked library that had a fireplace in it. They served three meals a day, seven days a week. You may have two or three entrees, vegetables, and dessert, and you pick out what you want to eat for the next day. It is right across from the hospital. It was one of the least expensive places in the area.

We have a place for my aunt. She hasn't moved in yet. It's an older place but it's nice. She will be having a large efficiency. The units are smaller. I visited a lot of facilities and this one was the best as far as price range. I also liked the setup, the price and the convenience of it. We also ate there and the food was good. The servings were smaller than I normally like but it was good.

I choose Tomball Retirement Center for my mom because the price is really good and it is fairly convenient from my house. I also like the feel of the place. It is very homey. It has an on-sight chapel. The size of her room and the amenities are probably the nicest that I saw in any of the places that I looked at. I really liked the director of the nurses, she is an awesome woman and is really helpful and I'm sad that she's no longer there. I like the staff that works there and they have things for people to do.
