From the consistent warm greetings I get from the receptionist when I call the nursing home to the compassionate DON Christina, Administrator, and staff that have made enduring this pandemic easier, Sugarland Healthcare Center is one of the best. I work all day and every member here has instilled the trust that my family member is being well taken care of in my absence. No nursing home is perfect but from my personal experience, this place is pretty much as close to perfection as you can get. Despite the chaos that coronavirus has caused and having to limit visitations, they have managed to have transparent communication with my family and I. Christina personally called me and discussed any worries or concerns I had and reestablished my belief that good people still exist. When coronavirus unfortunately struck my loved one, the facility maintained wonderful communication and consistently checked on us and were very thoughtful and showed that we actually mattered and were more than a “bed filler”. Thank you so much truly going above and beyond. And every nursing home definitely needs a Christina!

I visited and toured the facility in preparation for a family member. My Aunt will soon be needing around the clock care. This facility was suggested to me by a close friend. His Mother was a resident at time. She has since passed away. Upon my arrival my initial greeting was awesome. Very friendly Receptionist. I got to meet the care team and all my questions and concerns were answered. I was very impressed with the whole atmosphere of the facility. When the time comes where my Aunt is to much for the family we can rest nowing she will be well taken care of.

Dont take your loved ones here my mom contracted Covid at this facility. They moved her out and never checked with family to see how see was doing. Management showed no empathy.

I am so very grateful to the staff at The Sugar Land Health Care Center (Rose, Angie, April, Mary, etc.) for the excellent care they are providing for my brother, Richard, especially during these difficult times! I have been able to see and visit with him, thanks to Rose and her Ipad, and I can tell he is getting everything he needs! This facility deserves an award for the caring attention they provide, and for their outstanding response during this pandemic.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BRING FAMILY OR ANYONE HERE !!! My Boyfriend’s grandpa was sent here from Oakbend by mistake his was admitted for 3 days ... let me tell you that they gave him the wrong medicine from a different patient !!!! Please tell me how does that happen!! And he was having chronic chest pains .. they gave him Tylenol and told us on the phone that he needed to sleep !! They didn’t want to call the ambulance when we were there so we had to do it ourselves ..I swear I don’t know where this people get there degrees but please do not send someone you love here .. it not worth it !!

My father stayed there for over two months and it was a nightmare from the start. The doctor is never there to talk to the family, can only reach them through the phone. Family has to stay on top of things to get things done. Otherwise, nothing will happen. Some nurses are great, others are downright lazy and don't do their job. They just give out medicine and do nothing more. The CNA's are all lazy and don't do their jobs at all; they just give excuses like "I'm too busy" all the time without doing anything. Staff just gives attitude whenever you complain. Diapers are not changed during the day and people just sit in their waste for the whole day. Facility was extremely dirty and rooms were hardly cleaned during the week. The weekend nurses there are terrible and just stay in the breakroom all day long. Rehab staff and activities staff were great compared to the rest of the people that work here.

When I visited someone I know from this facility. I noticed from the moment I walk through their hall way that it smelled urine. My grandpa's fingers had dried pooped embedded on his nails and some feces on some part of the side of his fingers. Some CNA's their are lazy to do their job and you can tell when they serve food on their patients that they are irritated. Some they wheeled off their patients when they are not even done with their food as if they are in a hurry. I would not recommend this facility.

My mother was in this facility for a month after a complete knee replacement. They had expected her to be there for eight weeks at least but the excellent therapists got her home sooner. It is a very nice and caring team and the facility is very well maintained.

Mom was not very happy when she stayed at Sugar Land Health Care Center. The staff treated her poorly. They were not gentle with her. They treated their patients liked they couldn't think anymore. We moved her out of there very quickly.
