My boyfriend is in Discovery Village At Southlake. It's better than where he was. He doesn't have any memory problems at all. He's incontinent and he can't walk, but he can get himself onto the toilet if they give him help. Sometimes they just tell him to go in his diaper and he doesn't like to do that because he's aware and they're kind of slow to answer his call light. He says the food is better than where he was. It's a very nice facility.

Discovery Village At Southlake is the one we visited. It's a very nice facility. It's very broad. They're able to go from virtually independent living to the status of needing 24-hour care. They have 24/7 nurses on the premises. They offer three meals a day. I have not tried their meals, but my wife did, and she said they were good. It's not a cafeteria. They have a full onsite restaurant. It's a restaurant-style place where you go in and you choose what you want. If not, they'll make it for you.

I liked the services and amenities offered by the Discovery Village At Southlake, including their on-site physical rehab. The location for me was very good and the apartment sizes were nice. They have an elegant dining room, a beautiful enclosed courtyard, a car service, onsite MDs and RNs, and a lot of social activities. The staff was very professional, agreeable, and helpful. They all seemed to be service-minded. I was able to try their food and it was very good, too. They had a nice variety on their menu.

The community is nice. I like that they're very thorough, the place is really clean and everybody is very friendly. I'm really pleased with them. My mother is in a studio with a walk-in shower, and a little kitchenette. Basically it's the same as the other places I have seen, but it's very clean. She said the food is very good. The staff is great and they do activities. My mom plays games and does things she likes to do.

It is really close to my house, which I like. They offer a lot of things some of the other places don’t, like the rehab my dad needed for his leg, which was right there, so it made it very convenient for him to be able to get what he needs. They have lots of activities, go on a lot of field trips, and do a lot of stuff. My dad is getting more involved in all of that which is good. The food is pretty good. The residents seem nice, and the staff is pretty good. The room is really nice. He seems to be doing much better there.

We decided to put my sister-in-law here as she needs advanced care. It was new, and the people seem to really care. The rooms were very spacious, and the grounds were fine. They have exercises, bingo, crafts, and bible studies. I would recommend this facility.

We already moved my parents here. They just moved in last week. It's a brand new facility. They have beautiful surroundings. It is also right next door to where they were living, that way we could keep all the same doctors. Food is good and their dining room doesn't look like a cafeteria. It's nice. They don't have many activities for their residents, but my parents don't really need that.
