I'm in New Forest Haven. They're good. They have the best location and the best price. I'm still kind of new here. I've gotten involved with some of the activities. I'm very happy with the food. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner have all been good. The walls are thick enough to where you don't have to worry that much about making too much noise or too much sound for other folks. They seem to keep the facilities clean. I'm happy with my apartment. One reason I chose it is it had all the amenities that I needed. It's got a refrigerator, a stove, plenty of cabinet space, a full cabinet, and stuff like that. As part of the cost, they have wi-fi, which meets my needs. It's not too far from the old location where I had my home, so I'm familiar with the area. I'm ex-military, so I go to the Veteran's Administration, the VA Hospital here, which is very close and there's also a VA clinic, which is very close. I'm in between both of them so I can go to doctor's appointments very quickly and very easily and don't have to go very far. They had a full apartment with everything that I needed. I was impressed when I first came based on what it was going to cost me. The staff has been courteous. The people I've interacted with the most in the beginning are the salespeople, but the past few days I've been dealing mostly with the kitchen staff. We are fed sit-down meals. The waitresses and waiters have been very good and very courteous. I have no complaints. This facility is independent living. They have a separate building for assisted living. It's made up of about nine buildings altogether, eight of which are all attached to each other. It's pretty big. It's kind of like two big squares. There's a building one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and you have to sometimes go between one building to another to do things. I'm located in Building Six. I'm close to where most of the stuff is in the main building where the cafeteria is and everything. It takes a little while to understand the layout because it's a little complex, but once you get used to it, it's easier.

My brother-in-law moved to New Forest Haven. They changed management. They're more caring. His room is clean. They do some things and they have activities going on in the area. So, he seems to like that. They also play dominoes. The food is not the best or the worst either. The facility is old.

New Forest Haven had 4 different buildings and to go from one building to the next, you had to go outside because there were no covered walkways. They had swimming pools and little courtyards. The meals were included, but the apartments seemed a little bit dated. They were minimally furnished with a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a stove. The staff who gave me the tour was likable.

New Forest Haven was a property that was in great need of a lot of updating. And as far as I was concerned, I don't think it was very clean. I didn't like the idea that to go to your room, you had to go through indoor buildings and then you had to go across a crosswalk that was outdoor but covered, and then you could only get to your apartment through the outdoors. The apartment that we saw was on the third floor, there were railings, but they were all open. Just walking through from the entry to go down the hallway, you could see where the woodwork was just beaten to death and needed fresh paint. The staff was nice. The sales director was very nice and very friendly. The lady at the front desk was fine. They had a beauty salon and a chapel, and they provided transportation to go to doctors' appointments.

We have decided on New Forest Haven for my sister. We were very pleased with the people, starting out with John, who I thought was excellent. I talked to him on the phone, and then we went to the facility and he gave me a tour. During that tour, I met some of the other people. Lexi, at the front desk, was very nice. Literally, all of the people that we met, anywhere from the cleaners, to the maintenance people, from top to bottom were very good. The other thing we liked was the room that she's going to move into. It's the perfect size for her, and the fact that she has a little dog and they allow the pets, that was also an important issue. They're going to provide her with the meals and recreation. There's bingo and poker. We thought it's important, too, for her to have good entertainment. We met a few of the other residents who were very friendly. They opened their arms and their hearts to my sister. We liked the whole package. We got a warmth from that facility. We did look at several others and they were all good, but I think that New Forest Haven just had a little edge as far as the way the room is laid out and the friendliness and the warmness. We just made that decision, and I'm not sorry about it at all. The place was very clean. We've seen the restaurant, but I have not sampled the food yet. She's starting out an independent, but they call it aging in place. If she ends up needing more help, she doesn't have to move. She can stay where she is. We have the option to up the service.

I moved my mother in a few weeks ago, and I have been very pleased with hearing her cheery voice and nice words about the staff, the food, and her lovely apartment. I am actually giving a testimony this weekend about how smoothly everything went as far as move in and small fixes that always need to happen upon move in. Service has been prompt, and activities have really helped my mother plug in.

This is a grand place for seniors. Absolutely no complaints about anything. The Director and the rest of the staff treat me with a lot of respect and love to make me laugh and they treat my babies (dogs) really well. I feel like family here and it was the best choice to move to New Forest.

We liked this facility. My husband was with me and he was telling me about it, because I'm blind, and he loved it. Their staff was very nice. They were courteous and very informative. They treated us to lunch and it was just delicious. The salad was very fresh. They have arts and crafts, bingo, and I would be able to get the audio book in the library for the visually impaired. They also picked us up to bring us for the tour, which we liked, because we don't have transportation. Everything was just perfect.

It was an older independent living. They've been there for quite a while, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's comfy. The rooms are not too big, but they will do for anyone that's single. They were very clean and as a matter of fact, if somebody leaves, they repaint the walls and take care of anything that's out of whack. The person who gave the tour was fantastic and was very nice. He knew all about the building. When we were going by, he knew a lot of the residents and called them by their first names. I was impressed by that. I was also impressed by some of the things that they offer on their menu. There's a great variety. Then they have card games, crafts, an outside pool, and they have a bus to take the seniors out to grocery shopping or to doctor's appointments (which I think is great).

My mother has moved into here. It's a great place. It's much more homelike than most of the other facilities (that seemed a lot more institutional), and the people we met there were nice and agreeable to work with. They worked with myself and my mother to get things squared away so she could go in. She had some requirements most assisted living places would not support but we were able to get in, which was essential because she has such limited mobility. She's not a very demanding patient. She feeds herself and does all the other activities of daily living, she just needed help. Her room is like a little efficiency apartment. It's got good windows and a place for furniture. The people are very nice. The food is OK. It's semi-institutional just by the nature of the place. They're providing food, not only in assisted living but also in independent living. There are quite a few folks they have to cook for and it's not terrible. It's better than some places that I've seen. My mother said the food is good. They have a common room, which is kind of a large living room setup. It's a lot more homey looking. There are a couple of TVs there, and they have some card tables and stuff in a very big living room situation. They usually have activities with making decorations for their rooms and learning how to do crafts and whatnot. There hasn't been a lot of that just because of this COVID stuff. The surrounding is very pleasant. It's much better than anywhere else I saw.

The time I have lived in this community has been satisfactory. The dining accommodations servers without exceptions are professional and attentive to tenants. There is a tenant organization and several activities are provided. Management responds to tenant questions and requests promptly. My stay has been quite satisfactory. I would recommend to others!

We visited here. They did a good job in their presentation. It's an older community, but it's been refurbished. The person who gave us the information was very capable. I don't have any recommendations at all. We didn't get into a great detail about the amenities because my mom is relatively sedentary.

I toured with my daughter looking to move into a Senior place. I liked the layout because the apt was away from main building. Some days I like to keep to myself so this was good for me. My daughter liked that they provide transportation and food. Looks like a great fit for me as everyone seemed happy to be there. I hope to get my act together soon so I can enjoy easy living at Newforest.

We toured New Forest . I was very impressed, I really like the customer service lady over there, Jane was super nice, and super helpful. The facade was sufficient, the rooms were satisfactory. I would recommend it because of the care that the customer care lady went through to make sure all of our questions were answered, she came in on her weekend day off to help us, so I really liked her. The dining area was sufficient.

I often suggest Newforest Assisted Living to my friends with aged parents. The staff and facilities are absolutely wonderful. I have not regretted moving my father here not for one minute! Blessings to all who work here <3

Mom moved in shortly after my dad died and though it took her a couple of months to really get going, once she did we couldn't keep up with her. Between cards, bingo, "horse racing", the dances, etc. etc. etc. the tables turned and we were the ones calling to ask "Where were you? You haven't called in a week!" Several years later she had to move to the Assisted Living facility and honestly, we could NOT have asked for a more caring staff! Mom passed away last June but her last years were happy and she made so many friends! There were absolutely no regrets or second thoughts about her living at New Forest. She was truly cherished there and who could ask for more than that?

I have lived here in Assisted Living for almost 1 year now. I love that it is a small intimate home with Great staff. We have our days filled with optional activities. Our staff has been here longer than me. I never realized how difficult life had become. My decision to move was one of the best decisions I made in 2015.

We choose this facility for my mom because she likes it. The staff seems to be great. My mom likes the room, and she's really happy to be there. They have all sorts of activities, and my mom is always into something. The staff is always there to help out. The food seems to be great, and the dining room is very clean.

I visited here. I thought they were very friendly. It was a very nice facility, and they kind of met my mom's needs. The rooms were spacious. We liked it. They had their own bathroom and kitchen. The grounds were very nice and open. They had lots of activities. They could go on and play games. They had bingo, exercise, and different things that you could do. It was in a nice neighborhood and was accessible to a hospital.

My mother was at this facility. and it was a very nice place. They had separate apartments and they also served food. I was not able to try the food but my mom said it was good. They had a lot of activities both spontaneous and scheduled. She was completely satisfied there although it was far from the area that she wanted. I also liked everything about it.
