I moved to Evergreen at Rockwall. I like the area. I like Rockwall. I was on the waiting list, and they were the ones to call me first, so I was glad about that. They have a lot of activities for the residents, and I'm looking forward to starting that. I just moved in a couple of days ago. They have a nice swimming pool. They have a nice garden. The yard is very well-kept. Everything's clean. My apartment was impeccable. Joy was very helpful, very kind, very professional, and very knowledgeable. All my questions were answered with no hesitation. So, the process was very good. There wasn't a lot of waiting around for answers and things like that. Their charges are good.

I am staying in Evergreen at Rockwall. It's awfully expensive for people who are on Social Security and trying to make ends meet. I'm paying $1200 and on the waiting list to get a discount but they said they have a waiting list of two years. When you're a senior citizen, it's just hard to find something that is not in a bad neighborhood and that you can afford, and it's not cheap for me to live here. The staff have been great, though. They don't have a cafeteria and I cook my own food but the condition of the place is very good. It's very clean and very nice, and I feel safe here. They don't have a whole lot of activities unless you play cards or dominoes, and I don't play those. They don't have daily activities or anything that you can do often other than cards.

The best place I have visited is Evergreen. My mom is on the wait list there. It is wonderful. It is clean, well run, and very nice. There are no strange odors. The carpet and windows are clean. They have a kitchen downstairs but there's also a kitchen area in the apartments. The apartments are updated; I couldn't see any evidence of wear and tear. It was just very nice. The staff member that I met was very friendly and relaxed. I didn't see anyone that looked uptight or upset.
