My mother-in-law was at Liberty Heights Gracious Retirement Living for almost eight years. It was very nice and always very clean. The people were very personable, caring, and take care of their guests. They had a library, a gym, a theater room, a large dining area, and a service kitchen that the residents could use for entertaining or have guests over. They have senior activities, bingo, and shuffleboard. The rooms were comfortable. My mother-in-law had a one-bedroom suite, but they also have efficiencies. They don't have full kitchens. They didn't want old people with on-coming dementia to worry about fire when cooking. They have a community garden that the residents can plant vegetables, roses, or whatever they wanted to plant. The food was very good. They have a resident chef. There are always very, very helpful and very respectful.

My parents have been living at Liberty Heights for over 4 years now. They enjoy it. I enjoy the community. They enjoy the people that live there, and it certainly met their expectations. They have a 2-bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, a small kitchenette, a fairly large living, and a dining room. They do field trips once a week. They have a library, a theater, a billiard room, and a place where they play cards and dominoes. There is also a full kitchen that the residents can use. The meals are included too.

My mother was at Liberty Heights in Rockwall. She still would have been there if her legs hadn't given out on her. They also didn't have any assistance available. The food wasn't as good as where she is now, but she liked everything else, and the people were nice. They got bingo and some other things in there. They have a patio, but not a pool.

I have moved into Liberty Heights Gracious Retirement Living. My room is spotlessly clean. I have three rooms and I have a little kitchenette, which I use some of the time. The meals are furnished, and they're OK. The staff is extremely nice and courteous. The management is very gracious. The room is cleaned once a week, the bed is changed once a week, and the bathroom and kitchen are cleaned once a week. They deliver food to the room if you desire, or you may go to the dining room. I eat in my room most of the time. I'm on the first floor. I have a backdoor that goes directly to my little porch, which is very pleasant. My car is parked 20 feet away, so I can simply get in my car and go where I want to go. I have a church nearby. It's a little bit expensive, but I'm satisfied. They have a monitoring service in case you should have an emergency. They do not have assisted living here, but as people graduate to that level, if the person desires, they have some nurses that come in. I wanted a nice, safe place that was clean, so I'll be here for a while. The staff is extremely available. The food is as good as can be expected in a large facility. They have a wonderful activities director, and the people who take part seem very pleased.

My mother is going back to Liberty Heights. It's just a senior apartment, and they clean your place, change your sheets once a week, and meals are furnished. They have a lot of activities, but she doesn't participate. Her apartment has a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom, and it's pretty good sized. Her closets are big, and the bathroom is fine. The food leaves a lot to be desired.

Liberty Heights was fancier and prettier than other places. They had a movie theater, 24-hour soft-serve ice cream, and allow pets with no pet deposit. However, their price for a studio was $500 more. The staff was very helpful, and the facility was great. They had a marketplace like a little flea market in the lobby of the building. They had staff, like in a cruise ship, and the people in the dining room were also the people doing maintenance and at the desk, which was neat because familiarity with the residents is a good thing. They see this people throughout the day. They had raised gardens, and I think the residents do plantings.

I would move to Liberty Heights. It was bright, clean, and sunny, and the people were friendly. I was on a waiting list because nobody wanted to move out. Residents had been there for years. They had gardens in the back of the building where people could go. We had a very good lunch in a very clean and nice dining area.

Liberty Heights is wonderful, perfect, and has very good atmosphere. They have chef-prepared meals three times a day for dad, with waiters and waitresses that wait on him. The whole setup is just three years old, so everything is very new. His apartment is great; it has a patio and putting green. They have Bingo, gardening, twice-a-week shopping trips, and twice-a-week trips to entertainment and ball games. Dad likes that there's a lot of men there and that they have a veterans' group.

Liberty Heights was a beautiful place. It had a baby grand piano in the foyer and it was very nice. The only thing that I was concerned about was the apartments. The one bedroom was so small and it was going to cost me and my husband over $4,000 to live in it. They only showed us a few apartments because they were still in the process of building them. They had rooms that opened up to the courtyard or in the center. They had every kind of amenity there was. They do the cleaning, the meal cooking, and the laundry. They even had an apartment for guests from out of town who came to see you for $50 a night, which I thought was very nice. It was in a nice location. However, it being new, there wasn't any trees surrounding it. They had a dining room where you could prepare your own meal or the family could eat in. They had very courteous people. They had games. Their parking and their handicap accessibility were good. It was just too expensive and we couldn't afford it.
