My wife is a stroke survivor with aphasia. Communication is difficult for her. She loved every thing about her stay other than missing family. Her stay was during the covid19 time. The Administrator, Director of Nursing, and staff communicated well and always had an open door. If we need another stay in the future we would go back. I can recommend Remington highly.

My husband has dementia and he thought his diaper needed changing so we pressed the call light. The aide came and said he’d be right back but he never came back. I asked the nurse who told me he went to lunch. When he returned I asked him why he said he’d be right back if he was leaving and he angrily told me he was entitled to his lunch and my husband wasn’t his only patient. When he opened his diaper and saw it was dry, instead of closing it back up he said “here’s the wet diaper you’re yelling about “. I wasn’t yelling. Then he took the diaper to the nurse and she took pictures of it before he put it back on. Later that night, my husband needed his diaper changed at 8:30 pm and we pressed the call light and nobody came until 11:15. His shift was over at 10:00. He ignored my husband and went home. That is only one of the ways we were mistreated at Remington. They didn’t give my husband one of his meds the whole time he was there. They took an X-ray when he fell and never gave me the results even though I asked for them every day. They lost the sample for a CDiff test so we never got the results after we stayed four extra days to wait for them. The test had been ordered a week prior but the sample wasn’t collected. The nurses didn’t want to put dressing on his bedsore, I had to argue with them to get them to do it. I changed his diaper myself on a few occasions because they made us wait so long. It was a horrible experience and we won’t be back.

My mom is at Remington for recuperating and PT after surgery on her knee. Remington accepted her even after the hospital told them my mom’s antibiotic for the IV drip was expensive. They complained day one and she didn’t get her IV until the second day. Today, they told her they were out of her antibiotic. Not, we’re going to get more, but we’re out. Did I mention that the infection this antibiotic is for could lead to amputation of her knee replacement? Third surgery due to infection in the bone. Totally do NOT recommend leaving your loved one in their care.

The therapists at Remington are outstanding. The administrators are horrible , unresponsive, and inept. They don’t respond when they are asked to return phone calls or meet in person. They are very understaffed and don’t care about anyone but themselves. Avoid this place at all cost

A member of my family was an inpatient there for 2 weeks and was in worse shape when they left than they were when admitted. Was home 2 hours when we had to call 911 to take him to hospital ER. Was discharged way to early after glowing reports of how well they were. Medication changes, do not recommend.

This was a horrible place. I was there for long term inpatient physical therapy, but they discharged me before I could even walk. I am now able to walk again because of working with a different company. This facility insisted that I no longer had medical inpatient days, but they were flat wrong about that. I even called my insurance company several times during my stay at Remington to verify that I still had days and all they had to do was fill out one form to continue my treatment that would meet medical necessity. I used to work at a major medical insurance company so I knew the questions to ask, but apparently this facility did not. I believe they sent me home to die. It is now 4 months since my discharge and I am doing so much better, as I said, with the help of another company. I’d never send anyone to Remington.

My father right now is at Powerback Remington, and they’re fairly good. They had the wrong size wheelchair for dad for two weeks, and he’s been there since December 31st. We are all good with his drugs now, we are good with his equipment, the therapist is fairly good there and the food is decent. Although, I have to constantly stay on the nurses to make sure they will give him his evening snack which my father liked.
