The Village, now the Arapaho is old and run down, the carpet should be taken out/replaced, among other things that need replacement. TX will not expand Medicaid and there is very little money given to these types of facilities, it is sad. Many of the staff does a good job, however it seems the facility in general is short staffed, and my family member calls often to say no one has come to help, and they are soiled for long periods of time. It is scary to not be able to get help. New owners seem to care even less about the conditions, just enough to keep people hanging on. The state gov certainly does not care, the state agency does nothing about it. If your family has to be there, visit often.

this place is filthy old and run down. the rooms are dirty paint coming off the walls, beds are very old. the bathrooms do not accommodate wheelchairs. the most disgusting place I have been in. the management and website will lead you to think this is the Taj mahal. I would not even let me dog visit much less reside there. Carpets are the soiled and smell. Not sue how or why it's even open.

Very difficult to get help for residents Dirty room Always excuses why things are not done Most of the staff just stare at you when you need help for a family member They act like they don't understand English Do not consider this place

I recuperated in the Village for one month. It’s an older facility but very nice. They do a very good job. I happened to have a very large room to recuperate and do exercise in. There were activities for the residents on the other side. It might be good for recuperation, but if you look for the Village as a place of residence for older people, forget it.
