My mother has moved into Village on The Park Plano. Everybody is very nice. She is thriving there. The whole building is assisted living. There is nothing included in the apartment, so we brought everything from her home. You bring whatever you need. There is a refrigerator, but that's it. Depending on what level of care you want, they have people that clean. They can also escort you. There have been a few times that my mother has had to wait, but this is her second week, so it's all a work in progress. The food is adequate. They have people that come in and sing a couple of times a week. They have Rubik's Cube and bingo three or four times a week. They have Bible studies. They have movie nights every night at 6. They have activities where they go out and eat lunch. They have arts and outside gardening if you want that. They have a nice patio with a grill. They have music playing all the time, and so it's really pleasant when you walk in. They have happy hours and Mexican train dominoes. They have a bistro and a salon. They have a guy who comes in on Tuesdays to do nails, and someone who comes in on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays who does hair. The salon is really nice, too.

It was beautiful as soon as you walked in. The rooms that I saw were adequate. They had a furnished 1-bedroom apartment that looked very inviting. There's no cooking facility, but there was a refrigerator and you could bring your own microwave. The staff who gave me the tour was very informative and very courteous.

I talked with several residents at The Village at Mapleshade who were veterans, which is something my father would be very much interested in. They had an arts and crafts area and nice rooms. The staff during the tour was very helpful. I really liked their facility and the layout. They had the assisted living and the memory care area separate. The food smelled great.

I liked it. It is really nice, beautiful, and the food is excellent. However, it's too big for Mother. They didn't have activities yet when I first toured the place.

It is great, and we love it. The staff is excellent. They have a theater, exercise, beauty shop, and bingo. The rooms are beautiful. The room that my mom is going to stay in is gorgeous.
