My 87 year old sister was in this facility. She had multiple health issues & initially went in for rehab. It is an older facility but I was immediately drawn to the staff. They were all so friendly & happy the place is very clean. I visited at odd times & never found a problem. The staff was so loving & gave her great care. She w as there for about 10 months before she passed. She loved her roommate & quickly came to love her caregivers. I have never second guessed my choice. I looked at communities all over the Dallas area. I can’t say enough about Thr Park. Their rehab facility was excellent as well. Look no further

Older building but has a team that has been around for a long time. Some of them have worked in the building for 20+ years. They all care and work very hard to take care of the residents that live here. They aren't perfect but I feel like they care! Therapy team is great, and there are lots of performers that come in. The building isn't the same as some of the new ones out there, but it is kept up well and has great courtyards/outdoor space, and has a great atmosphere with everyone bustling around in the halls.

Be very proactive with the facility regarding your love ones or you wont know anything that's going on with them. The care meetings are unusually held with or without you present and the Director of Nursing is not informative due to incompetent nurses not following up with the DON. My mom is 100% cognitive with no way of communicating to anyone what she truly needs and wants. Everything this center does is not for the benefit of any one resident but is design as a one size fits all approach. Everyone receives food with the same amount of sugar regardless of your love one being diabetic. They could care less in running up your love blood sugars.out of control. Save your breath in complaining because the majority of employees with an exception of a few will not be truthful and/or can care less of what you think or want for your love one. Little or nothing at all will be done to assist with your love one needs. So its a no win in getting your loved taking care of properly. You wont win and the end results can either be deadly or pain and long suffering. Its unfortunate for our love one because she cannot vocalize to anyone how she is being treated. Be careful and continue looking and paying attention to reviews for a good home with people that truly care. I am advocate for the elderly because I see everyday of how they are treated in these nursing homes and if possible keep your loved ones home and take care of them there. Especially in these times. Unless you pay attention, visit daily if possible and be proactive you wont know anything that's happening with your love one.

My mom has been in this facility for a few weeks. The front office staff is very rude. I received one demanding phone call stating I needed to do paperwork within 3 days, when I went by to do the paperwork the lady handed me blank papers to sign. My mom has been here for over 3 weeks and have yet to receive a call regarding a care plan meeting. I have suggested care, however they have their own agenda. If you are look for a loving caring facility for you loved one this is NOT it.

I can only praise the staff of The Park at Plano. My adult child was admitted after a long hospital stay. I did not know how to deal with this transition. They gave me comfort. They put my mind at rest. I knew in my heart and soul that the staff has more love in their hearts than any skilled facility I had ever been to. Each person I interacted with had a smile and a kind word for me. They comforted me when I cryed. And put my mind at ease when I worried. I wasnt able to go to see my child as often as I wanted. I was at ease knowing she was being cared for by the loving staff of Park at Plano. I cannot praise them enough. The office staff went above abd beyond the call of duty for me. The nursing staff treated my child with dignity and respect. I had to move my child. With heavy heart we will be leaving today, logistics for me was the only reason I have to move my child. If I were closer to The Park at Plano my child would stay right there for as long as this type of care would be needed. I want to thank each and every one of you for making my first experience with long term care as loving and comforting as parent could ask for. My you all be blessed for the work you do.

This was absolutely the best place that I could have place my mother for rehab. She loved the staff and could not say enough of how much they helped her get better and truly thought of her as a person. She has made it home and she even has stayed in touch with some of the staff members to say how she is doing. Thank you for making this a great experience.

Do not put your loved one here! While there are staff members that I do like and appreciate, this place has caused my mom to suffer with horrific bed sores and has shown her substandard care. She is currently in the hospital for the third time in 9 months for wounds developed in this facility that are infected. She was also diagnosed with a severe uti and severe dehydration. No one seemed to think her altered mental status was concerning and when she couldn't eat on her own due to the altered mental status, there was no assistance for her. I'm a CNA by trade with 16yrs under my belt. This is blatant neglect. Others seem to love it there. I just wish my mom was taken care of with the same standards the others seem to be....

Stay away from this place. We found my mom in the bathroom asleep after falling off the john 3 times. This place was at one time nice. New ownership and thei own employees told me to get mom out of here. A disaster waiting to happen. If you love your elderly stay away. If you do not, well this is your place.

The facility has both its good parts as well as its bad parts. It is a very small facility so the patients have the attention that they need and the correct amount of staff to accommodate. The staff is very kind and caring but can sometimes be very slow in getting to the patients in time. Some patients are left to wait long hours to be changed or taken to the bathroom. The food that is served is not the best and many of the residents complain about what they are and are not getting. There are many issues with some types of food such as yogurt and bread not available to the residents when they want it. Also some of the residents who have electric wheel chars have a hard time maneuvering around the halls due to old age and often run into or hit things or other people causing injury.

I volunteered for many years at this facilities and my students also made special decorations and collected gifts for the residents at Christmas. This is a low income facility and isn't very large. However; the employees there are some of the best I've seen and the residence seem to be the most content. The employees take a special interest in each resident and seem to truly enjoy their work. One of the employees introduced me to a 100 year old resident that was known for her poetry. It was so good that I had some of her poems published in the local newspaper and she encouraged my students to start putting their thoughts and feelings on paper. I would highly recommend this facility.
