I had a family member in Collinwood for rehab. I found it to have a very homey, family oriented vibe. It is an older facility but it is kept extremely well and clean. The staff are very approachable and knowledgable regarding the care of their patients. The administrator emails families on a weekly basis and provides updates which I found very helpful. We were very pleased with our experience and I would definitely recommend Collinwood to others.

I am a visitor through our church, a group of us visited the community and played BINGO ( in the evening on a Saturday) with over half the residents there. I am also a registered nurse, I found the facility to be extremely clean and well care for, the staff genuinely cared about the people that lived there. It is an older community but it's not always about how new the building is, but how well the residents are cared for and the staff are engaged in caring for them. I have visited many nursing homes before, and I can spot a good one from a bad one. There were no odors in the community it has plenty of staff, the call lights were being answered, and residents seemed happy. As a group we were all blessed by the experience and look forward to returning. I would recommend this community to anyone in the difficult time of having to place a person they care about into a nursing home.

My mother was in Collinwood. The nursing stuff was okay, but the lady in the billing department did not know what she was doing. She has yet to bill Medicare for my mother. They still haven’t straighten it out. The food was terrible, even though it may meet dietary restrictions, I don’t think it’s nutritious and healthy. They keep the place relatively clean, and they have a couple of really good caregivers. There were a couple of missing items which include hearing aid, watches, costume jewelry, and clothes.

I live in the city and found The Collinwood. It’s small, but it was clean. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and good. The rooms were kind of small, but it was fine. They have a calendar, and there is a variety of activities each month. It seemed very secure.
