My mother is in Windsong Village. I like that she will be able to stay there once she no longer has savings and has to go on Medicaid. They have activities, church services, singing, bingo, movies, some physical therapy, and trips. What stood out was the special attention that she gets there. The staff come and get her to take her to meals. Sometimes they will help her style her hair. They have staff that will bring her meals if she wants some in her room. They make a special effort to see that she has some social life.

Terrible place to leave a loved one! My mother was released to their care after having an infection Friday night back this early February. That Monday she was scheduled for dialysis at noon. The nurses did not have her ready for transport nor did they have any dressings on her changed. The nursing staff during her visit were at their station at not monitoring them. Took 30-45 mins to answer calls. When I was trying to get information from anyone they would not give me any solid answers, basically giving me the run around, including the Social Worker Kesha. I filed complaints with the admissions director, Melissa. No follow up there either. Finally, my mom had to be transferred back to the hospital. The nurse gave false information to my mother's condition to the EMT saying she was usually lathargic, but she is not. Food is terrible there. Not clean at all! Only kind person there was the physical therapist named Kim (?). Security is not good at all there, especially at night. Accessibility is high for any person to come in! Keep in mind that the reviews before that last year, this facility was owned by a different company as well. So this new company is not keeping up with any guidelines like they should. Needless to say our family filed a complaint to the state.

I did a tour of Windsong Care Center. I have heard good reviews because its family-owned, and that's private, not a corporate. It's been around since 1975, and the third generation of the family owns it. For me to make my decision with my mother's abilities right now, this might be the place that I do end up sending her to, because she needs help. I would pay for additional physical therapy on my own to try to get her rehabilitation. I think it's well run; I got to see a room that could be available. It's a shared room, but each person has their own TV and there's a private toilet. It's a large facility. They do try to get the people up and out of the rooms to come and eat with the others in the dining room. I saw their exercise room, it was with the kind of grab bars to work on, and lots of different devices to help with their exercises. I didn't see a pool. All the other communities, mostly charge the extra $3,000 community fee, I guess for the grounds and all the stuff. The Windsong doesn't have additional charges per year to start staying with them. It's an older facility and appears more like a hospital because it is a nursing home; It's just different. The staff was very kind.

My Mom is a patient at Windsong and I live in Florida and can't not travel to visit her. I have encountered two nurses who went out of their way to see that I got to speak with my Mom. Her phone in her room was not working. It would not receive calls and Alex took the time to call me from the phone in her room. Michelle, the next night, used her own cell phone so that I could talk to my Mom. Both ladies were very kind and extremely helpful. It means a lot to be able to talk to my Mom. Thank you so much and God bless all who work at Windsong.

My mother has been at Windsong since August 2016. Everyone who works there is kind, gentle and considerate. There is open communication on her condition and situation. Her bed is always clean and she is always well dressed by the caregivers. Everyone takes their job seriously.

My 94 year old mother was a patient at Windsong Village. She was treated well. The accommodations were suitable and clean. The employees were fantastic. Every employee with whom we dealt was kind and caring. The property has many thoughtful touches, such as bird baths and bird feeders outside the residents' rooms. Finding a good facility is so challenging. We feel so fortunate to have found this place.

Windsong Village was a pretty nice place. The main reason we chose it was because it was the closest to our houses, so it's easy to visit my grandmother. She got Alzheimer's, and they recently got memory care. That option opened up for us, so we took it. There's a lot of good stuff there. All of the people who live there can interact and do things together. She is supposed to move in by the end of the month.

This is privately owned facility. Both my Mother and my Mother in law were at Windsong. They were kind and cared for these two wonderful women very well. The staff was kind and gentle with them.

Overall, I would say this is a pretty good assisted living facility. Although there is a slight odor when walking in the building, it is upkept very well and is extremely clean. When walking in, the ladies at the front desk are extremely nice and welcome you with a friendly smile. The majority of the facility's staff is nice and helpful, when needed. The nurses are nice for the most part, but some seem they are not happy with their jobs. I have encountered a few nurses who have been very short and unhelpful throughout my grandmother's stay here. This facility has great amenities for the guests and family. They have various activities for the residents as well as exceptional care. They even provide daily and weekly rehab, checkups and doctor care for each patient, if needed. Overall, this is a good place that I feel meets all expectations for its guests. After all, I wanted my grandmother to have the best care possible and I feel the staff generally cares about all of their patients.
