The new floors in the rooms look nice. It gives them a more home like look. The food is getting better and really looks good. They also have an awesome therapy department. Overall the building and staff are doing a great job.

My brother moved into The Colonnades at Reflection Bay. They are very nice. The nurses and the personnel is awesome. They take good care of my brother even though he is a problem. The last problem he had there, they handled it very well. His doctor and the supervisor to the nurses, she's head of all the nursing staff there, always calls me and lets me know how he's doing. The food is excellent. I have seen their food whenever I go there to visit him. And I see what they feed him. They have a ba...

This nursing facility needs to be CLOSED down, all CARPET PERMANENTLY REMOVED — why because this Nursing center , has an ODOR that is indescribable . Upon entering the building— that SMELL hits your Nostrils and it is stifling. I was placed in a room where this smell was stronger in the BR, it would almost take my breath away. The smell got into my mouth, nose on my skin, gowns and on the linens in the room. I became very nauseated, couldn’t eat or sleep. After complaining to my family & ...

Do not recommend this facility to anyone. Avoid this facility for short-term or long-term care. My elderly mother was here for 2 weeks after she broke her leg. We will NEVER return. The smell is overwhelming. Bathrooms are shared. Adulty dirty diapers were not disposed of properly. The food was not edible at all. The day-time doctor didn't listen to any of the problems my Mom had while at that facility and never ordered the tests or medications she had assured us she would. The rehab peo...

The food is better, but they don't give the patient enough tater tots, and if you ask for your bed to be changed you have to wait for them, but I sure can't wait to meet the New administrator, and hope he doesn't make a lot of changes unless they are for the good because you will have a lot of work to do.

The rooms are cleaned daily, and some rooms have more space than others. The staff could Be more timely when it comes to making beds, I wish I got paid for having to make the bed. Food is getting better now, and sometimes they hire cooks who don't have enough experience. Medicine is on time because of people who care, but has been late, especially on weekends. The people on the 1000 Hall are real good

The rooms are clean but dated. Was hare for 14 day, post surgery rehab. Food : tasteless, sparce, in many cases inedible. Staff: As usual with facilities like this there were good and bad. Most of the CNAs did an acceptable join. One or two nurses/LVNs did just okay. I was totally ignored by the staff for the first 4 1/2 hours that I was in there. Not one person came in to say hi or explain anything to me. I have several cardiac conditions. My cardiac meds were bot available for 48 hours. Had to...

Do not take your relative here under any circumstances. The Management is deplorable. They did not keep the family abreast on the decisions being made for the patient. My Aunt and Step father were admitted both were sent to a hospital on several occasions with no attempt to contact the family. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE ADMITTING YOUR LOVED ONES!! Zero stars should be an option...the Colonnades deserves ZERO! Your head nurse on the 2nd floor showed no empathy for our family!! Disgusting attitudes if you hate your job...then quit!! Now we realize why your facility had so many empty beds and able to take my grandmother in so quickly. BEWARE - NEGLIGENT - DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVE ONE HERE. The facility looks fabulous but the buck stops there! My husband transferred from Methodist Hospital to this facility on a Friday for skilled nursing services. He was clear headed and able to talk and use his phone. Management has it down to make this place look nice but don’t be deceived. The carpet on the first floor had been replaced so the smell of urine doesn’t hit you until you go to the second floor. The level of care is terrible and most staff is there just to collect a paycheck. One one occasion when I went to visit my loved one and as soon as I walked in the room, the smell of urine was overpowering. If I could give this facility and negative 5 star review I would. Let's start with the overwhelming smell of urine that blasts you in the face as soon as you walk through the front door. The nurses don't seem concerned about any of the patient's well being. My mother was transported there and had just barely missed dinner however the facility knew that she was on her way and still no tray was held back for her. When asking the nurse about her dinner tray the nurse replied "the guy down the hall ...

My brother in for rehab. Physical therapy is great, nutrition , nursing and aid care just the opposite. Room is nice, but that nursing home odor hits you as you open the door. The meals are a joke. Regular diet dinner on Saturday was a 2 inch slice of pizza and 4 fried mushroom caps. What??? How is that nutritious? When he asked for a second cup of coffee at breakfast the aide muttered that he was lucky to even get one. Facility is gorgeous, but the staff drag it down. Physical therapy ...

Recovered from knee replacement surgery at the The Colonnades and loved every minute of it. The interior is gorgeous, my room was beautiful with a private bathroom and little mini-kitchen. My father was a respite patient there from January 18th-22nd, and the services or lack of services he received was truly horrible and an absolute nightmare. You have to start with the top. The DON Rose is very rude and not good to her employees. I have seen CNAs work 3 consecutive 10-12 hour shifts. CNAs who have done wrong by clients continue to have jobs and residents continue to sit in pee and poop. I would not trust my loved one in this facility

The Colonnades at Reflection Bay is pretty new and has a reading room, a library, an area with a fireplace and a piano, a very lovely dining area, an exercise room, and nursing stations. The bedrooms were more like apartments and you could bring in your own décor. It had very nice furniture and no smell whatsoever. It was kept up very well. The residents looked happy to me. There were people reading, playing the piano, and looked quite busy as far as activities go. There was a physical therapist...

The facility smells and was just downright filthy. No human being should be subjected to the living conditions exhibited at this facility. If you care anything about your love one health, safety and recovery, then the Colonades @Reflection Bay is not where you want to take your love ones if you want them properly cared for. Bringing filth issues to the management angered upper management. State Board went out and admitted they found issues at this facility. Smell was just atrocious. I think the...

Unfortunately my father required total care and was unable to use the call light on his own. I retired from my job of almost 40 years to be there daily. Do not go here or let your loved one stay here. I had a wound and I could not get appropriate medical attention. My Mom and Dad were both residents of this facility. Mom's stay was a constant roller coaster ride of trying to get people to remotely do what they promised, and were paid to do. Since Mom was able to verbalize her needs, she was somewhat capable of getting her needs fulfilled by the incompetent, lazy, illiterate staff. The Colonnades at Reflection Bay is in no way a skilled nursing center and doesn’t even deserve a one star rating. My Dad was a resident for over a year and in the beginning, it was a fairly good facility that I would rate at 3-stars; however, we watched the level of care deteriorate at an alarming rate and today, one star is generous. My husband was a patient at the Colonnades at Reflection Bay during March of 2015. To say that the quality of care was subpar is an extreme understatement. I didn’t have a good experience at The Colonnades. The people were not good; you’d ask them to do something for you, and then they say yeah and may not get to it for three days. They lack attention to the patients. Although the facility on the outside was beautiful, the patient thing was not. She didn’t like the food. They have arts and crafts, and they have a lot to keep the people busy as part of their activities.

The Colonnades at Reflection Bay is the only place where my father could get a private room and a private bath. We pay a little extra, and Medicaid supplements the rest. After the nice lady gives you the grand tour and shows you how nice everything is, ask to speak with a family member of a patient who is here. These are the problems with The Colonnades: 1. Poor management. That is at the root of all the other problems. 2. High turnover rate with the aides and nurses. 3. Chronically understaffed.
