I have visited my friend several times at Pinnacle at Eden Hill. The best thing about it is it's clean. They have meals and they also have games. They have a library. It's an old facility, and they have definitely been around a while. My friend thinks it's a good place to be. I've met several of the residents because they sit out on the porch and in the day room.

My tour of EdenHill Communities was very helpful. The staff who gave the tour talked to us and asked good questions to help me and also in the process gave me help with some of my thinking and doubts about the whole process. The tour was very clear and not pressured. It was very positive. It was also good because my daughter-in-law was there, and she had seen it, too, and so it was helpful. They showed me a studio. It's just a bedroom and a bathroom. There was a common space, and the people there seemed very content and were talking to each other. The dining areas looked fine. They have a barber area. Overall, I didn't see anything I didn't like. And the one in charge of it was great. I can see why he got promoted to that job. The place was clean and nice. And the floors are the same.

What I like best about EdenHill Communities is the grandeur of the place. It was very large. It's a nice place. However, there's a large community fee. The cleanliness and structure were excellent. Good grounds around the facility. The building looked well-kept. I feel that it's a well-established facility. The dining area was nice, but I didn't try any of the food.

We had an in-person tour of EdenHill Communities. They have everything. They have every level of care that there is. They have been there for over a hundred years, and that says something about them that they are still there. One of them came to me first, and then we went to visit the facility. I like that approach. The staff was very caring and helpful. She answered all the questions we had. The facility is huge. I met the Director of Operations, and he seemed very one-on-one. He is the one that takes care of the facility. I was confident that he would pay attention to the things that needed to be done in the facility. The facility was very clean. It was near hospitals.

Poorly run administration. Made promises then turned around and stated they couldn't help after all. Left resident in dirty briefs constantly. Constant recurring UTIs that hospitalized resident multiple times. Has him hospitalized and didn't let any family members know during Covid (couldn't visit during this time making it extremely difficult to check on family member). Forgot to feed him meals twice. Administration came into room convincing resident to stay even after transfer paperwork had been completed. Very unprofessional. Promised to call POA back, however, told confused resident to have POA just fill out paperwork. Again unprofessional! Lots of temporary staff due to constant turnover.

The Heritage at Edenhill Assisted Living had some bad reviews over time for their nursing facility. It was very old and a little outdated. They kind of went off my radar. I saw the assisted living and went down the hall in the memory care and nursing home. It didn't fit the needs we wanted, and my parents would have to use a bathroom down the hall. I wasn't as impressed because it was old.

Pinnacle at Eden Hill stands out above the rest. They even have a woodshop and it's within my budget. They're delightful. They have a happy hour two or three times a week. It's a very nice and clean facility, but I'm 68, and the median age there is about 75 or 80. They have cottages, some have garages, and there's room for storage. They look quite comfortable. The people were very nice. It's independent living, but they provide the meals, you can have a housekeeper, and you can cook your meals in your little apartment or cottage. They have a workout room and classes for exercising, and a dining hall, but you can eat there pretty much around the clock. They have regular set meals with very nice menus. It overlooks Landa Park, which is a spring-fed park. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The apartments come in different sizes, and there's even a level where you can share an apartment with someone.

Pinnacle at Eden Hill is very well-managed, and the facilities were nice and well-run. The staff who accommodated me was very professional. The rooms I saw were apartments. They gave us a whole tour of the building and it was very nice. There were a few women doing some dance exercise. All of the residents that we met were very happy with the community.

I am the Power of Attorney for this resident. Two quarterly reviews were never attended by key staff because many staffers were never informed of the scheduled review. I drove in from out of town to find confusion both times. For example, two reports of my mother's condition had critical information of other residents included as if these serious problems pertained to my mother. Instructions for the source of prescription meds were addressed four months ago, corrected at a previous quarterly review, addressed again at a second quarterly review, only to continue past that second review. The nurses, aides and food service are generally quite good, but prepare yourself for extremely poor communications between administration and staff.

My husband moved into Eden Hill. They have all sorts of activities, and they take them out to communities and activities. They serve three meals, they have a van for doctors' appointments, they do his laundry, and they take care of all his medical issues. The staff is wonderful.

My step-father was admitted there for several months for physical therapy and speech therapy. He loved it so much, he requested to remain for long term care. He received excellent rehab services and loving care. Since he was there, they opened the beautiful new buildings.

My friend is in Eden Hill. She went to rehab first, but now she is in assisted living. I bring her there because it is close to her son. The staff is great. They have independent living in a big apartment house, cottages, assisted living, rehab, and a place for Alzheimer’s. It is a big community. The independent living is new and about six stories high.

Eden Hill had everything from independent to assisted to nursing care. It was originally started for retired ministers, so my dad really liked that, but now it is open for everybody. It was up on a hill in a gorgeous location. It was just well put together and very nice. The dining area was absolutely gorgeous with meals served three times a day. They had a rec room, a swimming pool, beautiful grounds, an exercise room, and all that. They had included everything. They would take you to doctors in New Braunfels, but you would have to get a ride if your doctor was outside New Braunfels.

Everything about the Pinnacle at Eden Hill was nice. I had been to some of their sales meetings before they ever broke ground, so I had learned about all of their floor plans before. They conducted a tour and showed me an apartment. I'm sure it's a five-star place, but I didn't want to live here, and that's the bottom line. It had all of the facilities and amenities I would like, but I thought they were way overpriced. They were brand new and the only place in town, so they could charge whatever they wanted to. There's nothing wrong with it, except I don't want to live there. I want to live near my daughter.

We have my mother-in-law in Eden Hill. Mom is a little bit over weight when she comes in, and so she has the reduced calorie diet. They eat three times a day. Her room is not large, but she has a large chest for her closet. She has a good size bathroom, two end tables on both sides of her bed, and a big window looking out. She says the bed is very comfortable. The staff is absolutely excellent. We are so happy with it, and so is she. They have bingo. Then, they have people come in and sing. They take them to church services on Sunday. They also have in-house services, and transportations to doctor's appointments. I have lunch with her. It is tasty. It is not highly seasoned, of course. It is in a moderate size amount. There are two buildings there. She is on the side where people can take care of themselves more. Then, later, we may shift her over to the other side where she can have more hands-on care. Both have just been excellent. I cannot imagine her being anywhere where she will be more comfortable. She loves it, and that says a lot because we have to sell her house to come up with all the money. So, that is really saying a lot.

I am very happy with EdenHill Communities for my mother. It’s a very good place and I would highly recommend it. Her apartment is very nice and there are a lot of activities going on. I know that she does cards and exercises. They also go to the park, the stores, and they take them to doctor's appointments. There are areas wherein they also play puzzles. She lives a better life now than she did before. It’s a fairly expensive facility, but it's worth it.

My mother was there a couple times prior to her death. Every time there was always some sort of issue. She got pneumonia, the meds weren't started for 7 days because no one followed up on the order. When we said we going to call state, that's when we got action. Her oxygen was turned off for God knows how long. She wasn't checked until the hospice nurse found her with an o Sat of 78% when it is supposed to be 92-100%. I never got a call from the home it was always the hospice nurse calling me. I never received calls when she fell. I had to find out the next day from my mother in law. I was with her the night before she passed away, I told the charge nurse on unit 5, if there's a change in condition please call us so we can come and sit with her. I never got a call from stavros. She passed away around 7am. I got a call from the administration. None from the nurse. I got a call from hospice. None from the unit nurse. There's a lot more I can say but I will leave it up to your interpretation

We are so happy that she is happy at The Pinnacle – Eden Hill. The facility is excellent. It’s brand new and very gorgeous. It's spotless clean. She has an 1100 square foot apartment and they supply maid service once a week. They change her sheets once a week if she wants. Their meals are all included in her monthly payment. They have very good meals as we have eaten there with her. The staff is excellent. They take her to the park so she can walk or do anything she wants to do. They have an art studio there and they have a salon.

My uncle wanted to go to EdenHill Communities. That was the only place he really wanted to consider going but they have an eight-month waiting list, which was just too long for him. There were in the process of renovating their old apartments and they were moving all the residents out of their older apartments into the newer ones. What I like best about this facility is that everybody seemed to be getting the care that they needed. It was also a lovely and roomy facility. Their staff were very friendly. There were activities going on when we visited and residents were participating. I would recommend this to others.

This is a brand new facility for Independent living, I wanted to be away from the Assisted Living area and this one was it. They do have an assisted living area in another part of the property all by itself. The Senior Living Director was very accommodating by giving us a 6:00pm appt. so I could see what the facility's specs were. Eventhough I will not be able to move into my new apt. I have all kinds of perks and assistance to make sure my transition from CA to TX and moving assistance to ensure a non-hassle experience settling into my new place. I would highly recommend them.

This facility is very welcoming and pleasant to go to. I am visited this facility to inquire about arrangements for my mother. I was immediately welcomed and taken on a tour. I got to see the vast amenities that would be available to my mother. The staff is very pleasant and very professional. I felt like my mother would be in great hands. I was provided with plenty of literature regarding the facility. I also witnessed the great care that the staff takes with their residents. I am definitely considering Eden Hills as the right environment for my own mother. They have made it extremely easy to make this decision.

The grounds of Eden Hills is very well maintained, peaceful, filled with wild deer that roam around, and there are seats and benches dotted around for the residents to relax on. The assisted living area is very clean and and has a moderate number of staff and nurses working 24 hours per day. The residents that I encountered appeared to be happy with their living arrangements. My only concern over all was the lack of security at night - while the main entrance doors were locked, there were a number of side entrances that remained open, and shortly after our visit, Eden Hill terminated the contract of the night security company that patrolled the grounds.

I volunteered at Eden Hill Communities in New Braunfels, Texas for about four months in 2010. I thought that it was a great place for older adults to retire. They made sure that there were plenty of activities for the residents to participate in such as bingo, balloon volleyball, bowling, crafts, Bible study, Thanksgiving and Christmas family gatherings, Halloween parties, and spa days so that the female residents could get their hair and nails done. Because most of the residents are using wheelchairs as a means for getting around, all of the activities are designed for sitting down. The staff there is absolutely wonderful and they really seem to care a lot for the residents living there. Every person that I encountered at Eden Hill had a smile on their face and greeted you with a warm hello. They know each resident by name and always try to keep each resident as pleasantly comfortable and content as possible.
