Franklin Park TPC Parkway was a lovely facility. It is nice, wide, open, and bright, and the most modern of all the facilities that we toured. It was nice and lovely, but it just was not warm and friendly.

Franklin Park TPC Parkway is nice, but the food has gotten worse since I've been here, and I'm hearing complaints from the other residents, so it's not just me because I mostly don't complain, I just listen. When they clean, they don't do a great job, so I still have to have my own vacuum, own mop, brooms, and cleaning supplies, which I was told I wouldn't need those things, but you do if you'd like your place to stay clean. They haven't been taking us to very many places. We've lost our activities director. We don't have 24/7 security around the clock. They've hired somebody to work the 11:00 to 7:00 shift at night. So, hopefully, that's going to improve. They have exercise equipment here. They need to improve on taking us places other than just to eat. They take their assisted living people places, but they leave us out. They tell us that the van can't be at both places at one time, which is ridiculous. They have two vans. I don't know what the problem is. They are constantly having problems with keeping employees, so that speaks volumes. The manager here for the food is just not doing a good job at all and if you order it to be delivered in, you never see a meal. It doesn't show up. It's ridiculous. When you pay what they charge here, you should be getting top service and we're not. The staff members are overworked because they're understaffed. Activities would be greatly appreciated by everybody who lives here. They have suggestion boxes, but they don't follow through.

I love Franklin Park TPC Parkway. I liked that it had a lot of amenities that I was looking for. I loved the floor plan. The location was kind of number one, too, because it's close to my oldest son. It's about seven miles away from their house, and that was important to me. I like the area for the most part. I liked the fact that it has a garage and storage facilities, at an extra cost of course. That was the only one I noticed that had more amenities like that, because I still drive and wanted to keep my car for as long as I could. It wasn't an old place. It's very well-maintained. It was clean. It just felt right when I was in there. I didn't feel like I was in an old folks home even though it is a 55-plus senior community. I just had a good feeling about it. The lady that showed me around really gave me a good tour. She asked questions, and she stayed with me. I had a meal there. The only problem is that I'm a vegetarian. I know they told me that I could request items. It's like a cafeteria-style thing where you go in and they have certain things of the day, and I could request that they leave the meat off if it was possible. They had alternatives as well. The food was OK. It was fine. It was sustainable. They have all kinds of activities, but I really wasn't interested because I'm not really into activities. One thing I did like (though I don't have a pet now) is that if you have a pet, they have a little park-like thing. It was kind of small, it's big as a yard, and it's like a mini dog park, which I thought was cool. They had places where you could go and walk because I like to do that. They have a beauty salon. They have a doctor onsite. It's a small little clinic, and it's separate from everything. It's not included in your rent, so I thought that was kind of cool. What I really like, too, is they have onsite a 24/7 emergency call system. Even for independent living, they give you one of these First Alert type things that you can use in case you need it. Now they don't do emergency, but if you call it or use it, they will call 911 for you, or make sure you get some sort of medical help, and that was a 24-hour thing that they have somebody on call there. They give an emergency pendant per resident. They also have guest suites available if I have family from out of town that want to spend the night. It's an extra fee, but it's nice to know that it's there. They have a full-sized kitchen with an island in each apartment. They have an activity center where they do movies and stuff like that. I didn't meet that many staff members, just the salesperson that took me around. She was really, really good at being thorough and showing me stuff that I didn't expect. I had a nice soup and a salad without the meat. The food was good. The atmosphere in the dining room was awesome. It's a beautiful, beautiful place. Also, they will repaint your whole place. The labor is no charge, and I would have to pay for the paint, which is not that big a deal. But they would do it for me, so I thought that was kind of cool, especially if I walk into a place or see a place that has horrible paint that I hate. They're very committed to making you want to feel at home.

The person who gave me the tour at Franklin Park TPC Parkway was excellent. She was so knowledgeable about everything, so that was very refreshing. She answered all my questions. The dining area was very nice and very well-appointed. I could not see any negative about their dining area. And the residents that I saw there looked like they were excited to be going down for their meals. They were all dressed and ready and spoke highly of going down to dinner. The areas that I saw were very clean. Everything was very neat. I saw service individuals, I don't know if they're employed by Franklin Park or outside vendors, but I saw them. They were doing their jobs to keep everything nice and clean. Everything looks very, very clean. I only met a couple of the staff people. The person giving me the tour and the person at the front desk. And they were all very kind, very nice, and very informative. I mean, just the few people I met were all excellent.

We visited the Franklin Park TPC Parkway. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We've had the food there, it's good although it could be better. Compared to the other places I've seen, they were just as nice if not nicer than anything else. They have all the amenities, they have a gym and a pool, they have activities planned, and they had everything everybody else had. Some of the other places we've been at weren't as kept up as well as this one. It's located close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and lots of activity.

I saw Franklin Park TPC Parkway's assisted living. It's very, very pretty. I had never seen a place like that. It was just so nice, so clean, and didn't smell. The other places I had toured were on the south side, and they were horrible and smelled just ridiculous. The staff we interacted with was very knowledgeable, very courteous, and just a very nice person. We saw each of the sections. She named them because they have certain names, and we saw each wing. I just don't remember the names. The outdoor spaces were very nice and clean.

I liked Franklin Park TPC Parkway. I liked the cleanliness, the staff, and the aesthetics of the place. I liked the COVID restrictions that are in place, I liked the security and the person that I met with. The staff was very friendly, you just felt like you were talking to someone you knew, so it was very easy to talk to her. The property is nice, rooms, nice-sized, the dining area small, but it's a smaller property and stuff. They did have a separate area for their crafts or games and stuff like that. They did post their activities in the elevator. I think they have their activities for the day. So if you were in the elevator you could tell what the activity is at what time. They were in the process of updating the outside lounge area, which was very, very nice. I could see my mom being comfortable there.

We'll be moving into Franklin Park TPC Parkway. It's a very nice and certainly a new area of San Antonio. It's just right at the edge of the hill country. If people want to get out, and if they're able to, they do a little shopping or something like that. There's plenty around there to do. They have a lot of planned trips, now that COVID is hopefully on the way out. The people I met were very nice and very accommodating. We will be in independent living. Even though they've only been opened a couple of years, and went through COVID, and probably had to lay off people, their place was clean. They had activities that we might participate in, but the dining room was still closed, and there was no sampling of food to speak of. The apartments were very nice. We wanted a two-bedroom and it's a tad smaller than some of the others we looked at, but they were clean. We saw an apartment that was getting ready to be turned over to a new person, and they had finished cleaning it, and we could see that it was good thorough cleaning. It's very nice and clean inside, and beautifully decorated. It was decorated in mind that older people are gonna live there. The marketing director took us and showed us to different places. She was very, very nice, and has done as much as she can possibly do to help us with our move. It's just been a very nice experience, and I think a lot of it has to do with the people that work there. There's a swimming pool, exercise classes, games, a theater that they had little performances on, they take you on trips when you can do it, and you're not restricted from doing it, and you get your transportation to grocery stores, and some shopping areas, and medical appointments. They come up with quite a few activities to do, but keeping in mind that the independent part people are coming and going. They also have cottages that aren't apartments inside a building. They have a pretty courtyard, a nice walking area, they allow your pets, and they have a dog park.

Franklin Park TPC Parkway is extremely wonderful. My parents have been there as a resident for two weeks now. I'm just extremely pleased. They love my parents. It's extremely clean. Overall, I know we made the best choice. The staff is phenomenal. My parents have a 1-bedroom condo and it is beautiful. I personally have not seen anything because it's Covid. It's very restricted right now. They're following all guidelines from the governor about everything that they're doing. In fact, they're very strict which I wouldn't have it any other way. The grounds are beautiful. When you walk in, it looks like a hotel. It doesn't smell of something dirty. It smells extremely clean. I absolutely love the ground, it's beautiful.

Tina is the salesperson at Franklin Park TPC Parkway. She was very thoughtful and answered our questions completely, and she got back to us. If she didn't know the answers completely, she would find out what was going on. She was very attentive to our needs, and she sent us several videos, although other places also sent us videos, so that wasn't really the main deciding point. But it was definitely very helpful when she kept up with us and continued to call us to make sure we were on track. What set them apart from other retirement centers was that they have a medical facility onsite. Tina was very interested in whether or not there could be a rehab type of situation, because in case my mother-in-law needed to get surgery, she could just rehab here. Her room's living area had a larger square footage than in other places that we had looked at. The bedroom isn't anything to write home about, but it's about 14x14, and it's decent. We knew all of this when we looked online at the sizes of the rooms; it was affordable. I'm able to see some residents, and when my mother-in-law first moved in, there were also a couple of residents down the hallway who came by to see her and asked who she was and they talked a little bit. Everybody seemed really friendly and nice. The staff is very positive. It's a pretty upbeat kind of atmosphere, not to mention it's a brand-new place with fresh paint and everything. They have a chef there, and apparently he's some kind of item and supposed to be very good. He came around to her room when she first moved in and talked about dishes that she liked. For a litte while she was just here by herself, she couldn't go down the dining room or anything. So they brought the meals to her. She had three meals a day, and she told me that they were just delicious. This community seems to go above and beyond with the chef and everything. I met the activities director and from what I have seen I have no problems with the staff, they're really upbeat. Their facilities are excellent. In terms of activities, they've got so many. For the independent living they have lots of get-togethers and potlucks for community building. They also have bible studies on Tuesday mornings at 10:00. The activities director is just all over the place, and she's got everything going on. What's also nice is that when you walk around there are lots of rooms, and the views are beautiful here. When you walk into a conference room it's wide open and beautiful. With all the trees, this place is beautiful. She has a little balcony, so she can look out over the grounds that they keep very nice. We felt like we got a really good deal for the price.

I was at Franklin Park TPC Parkway. Overall, they did a decent job. I like their activities. We played bridge, hangman, which I enjoyed, and word games. In general, the games we played there were challenging. They had a young lady in charge of that place and she did a good job of presenting the games. It was more expensive though. They had salon service as well as laundry service. I had no problem getting around on my scooter because the hallways were wide. It was an older place but there was plenty of room to maneuver my scooter in the facility.

Franklin Park TPC Parkway was like a topnotch luxury resort. The staff member during the tour was very nice and very knowledgeable. The dining area was large, very nice, and luxurious. They had a lot of activities and a lot of amenities. It was beautiful, but it was a little bit too expensive.

One of the reasons we chose this community for mom is because they are the only assisted living we found that have 24 hour nursing . This is comforting because issues don't just happen from 8-5. The community is clean with no odor and the staff is friendly and helpful. Mom seems to enjoy the variety of activities. The food is tasty with choices at each meal.

We moved my parents to Franklin Park Stone Oak. I think they’re doing fine now. They were in Bridge Care before. We didn’t realize until later that Bridge Care was really not enough care for my mom because she has Alzheimer’s, and we had some problems there with that. We moved mom into memory care and Larry, her husband, stayed in the assisted living and I think he’s doing fine since he doesn’t need a high level of care. My mom was in assisted living with Larry. They were both in assisted living, but the level of care was not enough for her to help her get up and down and go to the restroom and things that she needed to do for daily needs. In memory care, they help her with bathing, getting up, and going to the restroom. She wears things that help her with incontinence, so they help her with that and check on her during the night as well.

Both my parents are in Franklin Park Stone Oak. Additional nurses would be much appreciated as they are always understaffed. My parents’ room is okay. Some people who work there have attitude problems.

I like Franklin Park. It’s brand new. It’s apparently private owned and it had really nice decorated wide hallways that didn’t look like a hospital or nursing home setting at all. It also have little niches by each door where they put a picture of themselves or little flowers so they could identify it or they could feel it was special like theirs. The staff members were excellent. It was a little bit of a high end for what we’re looking at. The inside was very nice.

The staff is wonderful and very nice to my parents. They have a doctor that comes to the place and visits them. Franklin Park Stone Oak is a really outstanding place, and I really like it. The rooms are very nice. They have a separate bedroom with a door, which my mom likes. They're kept up very well. They have two dining rooms. They sit down and order; it's like restaurant eating. My dad said they have a wide variety of food, and it is very good. They have exercise classes, and they take them on outings. They're doing a wonderful job right now.

The facility itself is beautiful. There are a lot of different things going on -- music time, bingo, an outdoor patio where they can walk around, barbecues, birthday parties -- all kinds of stuff that the residents enjoy. My father has a private room, which is big enough for him. I had lunch with him there, and the food was real good. Everybody is very welcoming and friendly. The dining room is always clean, open, and well kept. I'm really happy with the whole facility. The common place is also really nice.

We chose Franklin Park Stone Oak because of the location and environment. I loved the people. We liked the warmth of the place. They were very friendly. It was great. We were very happy with them, except for the fact that they did not have a speech therapist. We had requested speech therapy, but they didn't have it a speech therapist. and they didn't get it through home health. Then, she had aspiration pneumonia and had to go to the hospital. Had they had speech therapy, I thought we would have avoided the pneumonia, and that would have been better.

We visited Franklin Park Stone Oak for my mother. It was nice, but it just didn't feel right. The lady who was supposed to take us around was busy with someone else, so the head guy of the facility took us around, and it was like a spur of the moment thing. He was very nice, but he was looking at his notes. The apartments were OK, but for my mother they were too small. Also we saw very few people. We met no one else who worked at the facility other than the director who took us around. Security though was fine. It was good. What I can suggest for this facility is for their people to be more friendly and attainable.

Franklin Park's set up and accommodations are extremely nice. It is four levels. The memory care is on the bottom level. There is dining room in each level, so there is a small intimate dining environment. The staff is very cordial and very professional. Their accommodations are very nice. In terms of space, there are different levels and we selected the level that best fits our budget and my family member's needs. They have several activities. From what I know now, I would definitely recommend this facility.

I moved my mom to Franklin Park. This place is close to where I live, which was a plus. I went and walked in on them unannounced. I was very pleased with what I saw. I liked the way the caregivers were interacting with the residents there, liked the staff that I met, and had a chance to meet with a few of the people, who seemed very happy. I feel that the residents' dignity is maintained. I can't say enough good things about it. Her room is lovely. She has a Jack and Jill, so she shares a bathroom with another resident. I go to visit her about every other day, and her room is always clean and well maintained. My mother has Alzheimer's and is probably at the end stages of it, and I am very impressed with the friendliness. It's just very, very nice.

I moved mom to Franklin Park. The staffing appeared to be adequate and they had a lot of activities. They have arts, music, religious events and family events. Mom is participating and she’s very busy. We also join on weekends. We checked the food before and I checked it routinely after work when I visit her. She’s satisfied with the food. They have physical therapists on site and they helped mom become mobile. They have volunteers who come and file the resident’s nails, do massages and stuff. They have a lot of kids who come from different schools. The residents can keep their pets and the aides help take care of them. Mom’s very happy there.

Franklin Park Stone Oak is close to where we live and it is convenient for us to go there and visit our parents. They seem really happy there. They have memory care for my mother and they provide a lot of things, especially medication management, which is what they really need. They have a lot of activities during the day for them. They are excited about it. I definitely recommend them.
