I’m very grateful to the staff of Town East Village Rehabilitation in Mesquite, TX, for the personal and professional attention they gave to my brother, Diego. During the two weeks he stayed after his surgery, he felt welcomed and well cared for. Because his family is out of state, the center was a blessing that helped him recover from his surgery. I recommend Town East for their noble standards to make their residents feel at home when they are in their care. Muchas gracias. Jenny

The facility is nice, the people are nice. Trackea the administrator is my best friend. I enjoyed playing Bingo. The rooms are a little small for long term, but it was okay, I had a lot of things because I moved out of an apartment. As long as you have a T.V. and snacks you are good. I will definitely recommend this facility. I would come back if I needed help again. The staff were good, there were too many to name.

The staff is very friendly and treat the residents like family. My mother lived there for 6 years and they took great care of her. If I ever had questions or concerns, I would talk with the staff and they would correct the problem. I highly recommend Town East.

DO NOT PUT A LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY! My dad was only there for 2 weeks while he was recovering from surgery. Then he was suppose to go be with my mom in an assisted living apartment. Two days before his release he died under their care. He supposedly fell out of a wheelchair that he should not have been in. He hit his head, had a brain bleed and we had to watch him die. Don’t put anyone in this place.

The building is older than other locations in the area, but I felt the building was clean and well maintained. Most of the staff have worked at Town East for a long time. Therapy was great. My mom enjoyed the food. A few issues came up throughout the stay. I felt like leadership took care of them timely. I was happy with the care and if needed, I would recommend Town East.

The nursing staff is very good, patient, and helpful. The therapists are friendly, caring, and thorough. The facility is clean and cheerful. There are daily activities offered to the residents, a daily newsletter, prayers, and games. Very well balanced meals with plenty of good food. Fruit snacks offered twice daily also.

Do not take your loved ones here. My mom was there a month and we went up there to visit her and she was gone. They moved her to another place cause her Medicare ran out and they didn't tell us she was moved. The staff to me was rude. They didn't change my mom and didn't move her as often as she needed. She ended up with a big bedsore. She did up passing away. I saw someone at a restaurant that was in billing department and she informed me my mom owed 35.00 and if it wasn't paid they would put a lean of my moms house. Like really. So please don't take your loved ones there. Oh, my mom had a neighbor who was screaming for help and then that stopped. My mom asked if he was ok. They said oh he died

My husband has been in this facility for 2 Months and it isn't getting any better. He complains about the nurses not coming to his room and if they do thay walk in the door and say what is the matter and don't Not Can I HELP YOU and turn around and walk OUT, They don't stick around and see what they can help you with and see what they can do. I see this while I am there I AM THERE FROM 8:00 AM OR EARLIER till WHEN EVER, I hate to complain some of the NURSES AND STAFF seam that they don.t care they are there to GET THEIR PAY. I would Move him but I can't find another one that is any BETTER. I just WISH that they would care MORE AND CARE FOR THE PATIENTS there are older people there. My Husband Had a STROKE and his legs don't work good and his right side dosen't work the way it is when and before the stroke. I guess I have Complained enough for now But Check This PLACE OUT REAL GOOD BEFORE YOU PUT THEM IN THE CARE Here.

My Mother has gotten a 2nd UTI within a year. This time she was sent to the hospital she has a rash. She told us family members that she will push the button and will take hours to come and change her. I have been there and noticed the same thing. This is not acceptable and neglect. I will be reporting this.

The facility had improved in quality but all of a sudden brand new administration who seem to be totally incompetant. My loved one's favorite caregivers and nurse have all quit within a few weeks of each other and the staff that remains seem stressed and not happy which makes me worry....I find it strange they went through so many administrators in so short a time period and nobody could explain why these things are going on!

This place is truly awful. My father was admitted for rehab. He is a decorated multi war veteran and suffers from parkinsons. On several occasions he was taken to the dining area and left there for hours. He mentioned that a lady also suffered the same fate and was crying for help for over thirty minutes before someone came. I spoke with the administrator who apologized and profusely stated the issue would be addressed and corrected immediately. In less than a week the same thing happened. My father has resigned to accepting meals in his room alone.. Shame. Shame on those who do these things to the elderly and disabled. This facility is rotten with poor administration. Shameful

Facility had been recently remodeled. Now has single occupant rooms, nice wood floors, new furniture and fittings. The staff seems polite and somewhat competent, though short handed especially at night. Had some communication problems with some staff members who spoke with heavy accents. Patient complained of never seeing a doctor, but being told by nurses that they would forward her concerns to the doctor. The food was plentiful, though slow to be served & very little fresh food provided. Very little in the way of activities aside from bingo, though rehab therapy takes up a lot of time. Some residents seem to need more attention than they were getting....ie: nurses ignorinig patients & rolling their eyes when some people called them.
