My mom is at Sisters of Loving Arms Care Home. It's in the older part of Lubbock. They have large, beautiful homes in the area. This is an older home that probably could use a few updates, but the people are very nice. The staff is very nice, too. They only have 8 residents at a time, so they're able to give a little bit more personal care. In terms of activities, they have played games like dominoes or cards and played bingo at one time. My mom has a TV in her room, and she likes TV. But they don't take them to their appointments. The family has to take them to doctor's appointments. The dining room has one large table. The ones that can sit at the table, come to the table. But if you're not feeling good or you don't want to, they will serve your food to your room. It would be nice if they could get a little bit more activities. The place is clean. It could use some upgrading. But if my mom needs help with anything, she can just pull one of the strings and she has a thing that she wears on her neck sometimes that she can call them to come and help her.
