My mom was at Heritage for a month. I didn't like it. It was not something I would recommend to anyone. You walk into the Medicare section which was cleaner and better. My mom was in the private room on Medicare. However, there were so many other sections that reeked of urine. It was bad. The services were bad. They left my mom on the potty for about 20 minutes before they came back to check on her. She couldn't reach the alarm. When she used it for someone to come, it would take them forever. She was very discontent; she was unhappy there. She also said she didn't understand the way the staff talk. Lots of them were from the another country, and she had trouble with their accents and with understanding them. I didn't think it was a good care for her. The food was like TV dinner style. My mom looked forward to her meals. However, when they would bring her breakfast into her room, it was cold. They would also leave the tray for a long time. They wouldn't come back and pick it up. She said at weekend it was worst because there were less attendants there. They had bingo but that's about the only activity that I was aware of that she participated in.

I am an independently employed nurse that came to visit a patient at this facility. I would NEVER send anyone I care about to this facility. The minute you walk in the door you can smell strong urine odor everywhere. An aide was hiding in my patient room when I came in at night. The natcotic count was wrong at the nurses cart. Joint Comission needs to shut this place down.

I admitted my mother on 12/05/13 and it was the biggest mistake I made. The facility is aweful and the staff could care less of the patients. My mother was always dirty and her glasses were broke then lost, her wheelchair was also lost and even her bottom dentures. My mother wasnt being treated for a UTI and on 03/04/14 she was taken to the hospital with renal failure, septic shock and other medical problems. This facility almost killed her. I do not recommend this facility at all to no one.

The worst hospice or nursing home I've ever seen. It made my skin crawl. The staff look and act like hoods and the management justs wants you to sign things. You cant even visit this rats nest without a guard with you. The patients are treated like garbage, the only thing their good at is opening peoples mail and cashing their SSI checks. Avoid at all costs.

After leaving there without my belongings or money, I would not, under any circumstances, ever recomend this place or the people who work there, to care for anyone or anything. Go Anywhere Else.

We had my mother-in-law in this place and my brother. I had to give it a one star rating as it does not give you the oppurtunity to critique without ratings. We chose it because it was a 2 min drive from our house. Big mistake. The place was horrible. Nursing staff never paid attention to any patients or did so only when people were present. Rooms were dinghy and smelly, they chided patients like children, no dignity whatsoever. My brother was sent straight there from the hospital he was supposed to have been given his discharge papers, medications upon release and they lost everything. He was in critical condition in need of a liver transplant and they just lost everything then tried telling us that the ambulance technicians that transferred him must of forgot to give it to them. When I questioned how they could have admitted him without the paperwork from the hospital they had no answer. You would think that with the oney they get from Medicaid for their patients they could afford to replace the carpet ( patients have repeatedly urinated on it) but carpets and furniture are in deplorable condition.
