This place is DISGUSTING. The admin staff never returns emails or calls. Always have excuses. The memory care is one tiny hallway cramped w 25 people wandering back and forth. NO activities or stimulation for the resident. The smell is one of the worst things ever, masked with some horrible air freshener. They let the residents sleep and never get up, while urine and feces are on the floor. I’ve witnessed this almost on every visit. One of the most disturbing places I’ve ever experienced. I’ve notified the state. STAY AWAY!!!

There is NO kind of rehabilitating here, just debilitating! Do your loved ones a favor & find another place. My grandfather nearly died here. Many of the employees have zero compassion & patience and are only collecting a paycheck. Why these people are allowed to work here I'll never understand. It was a horrible short lived experience; we had he removed asap.

My m-i-l pushes the button for assistance but nobody comes for several hours. My b-i-l caught her trying to get out of bed around the security rail (she is at risk for falls since that is why she is there). Floors were dirty (stains), trash not emptied, bed sheets not changed, all for several days, and the staff let her lay in the bed until we showed up and had them get her up.

Don't take your love ones to this place, the staff is not really concerned about the patients. I taken my family member out of this facility before the month was out and can't get a refund of the day I have paid. It has been over 6weeks and corporate want refund the money I have paid.

I came here to continue treatment for IV antibiotics, only. The "skilled nurses" didn't regulate the antibiotics correctly. I developed a severe allergic reaction to the most vital antibiotic, and had to discontinue treatment. To add insult to injury, the staff was very rude when I complained that it took an hour and a half for someone to come to my aid when I broke out in a stinging rash from head to toe. I was told to stop crying, that I'd be fine. Every time I hit the call button for my meds, it took a minimum of 20 minutes for someone to come. I tried to file a grievance, even that didn't go thru. This place is awful. There's more I could post, but I think you get the idea. I would recommend some place far from here.

Winters Park is a nursing home that seemed to be a lot nicer compared to others. We decided to choose them, although we are not sure if they would accept him or not. We chose it because it seemed to have everything he needed, was within our price range, and close to me. I liked the helpful staff.

The staff at this facility lacks any concern for the patients. Medications are not given properly, there is no proper supervision of the patients. I watched the "medication nurse" walk up behind my father and, without even speaking to him, try to cram medications into his mouth. When he resisted this unseen assault, she was very irritated. When we explained that he didn't even know she was there, she was completely uncaring. 6 staff members stand at the front desk chatting with each other while patients soil themselves after waiting long periods for attention - after repeatedly pushing their "Call button" for help. The staff makes no attempt to be friendly, even for visitors who can clearly see their lack of attention to the patients. If one of your relatives happens to land here, I dare you to show up at 2am to see the condition your relative is in. It's deplorable.

My mother was at Winter Park for rehab. After 2 mos she made great progress. Then I noticed a decline in her. I am not in the medical field yet I had to inform them when she was dehydrated and had two uti while there. Got nothing but one excuse after another. I brought her home in far worse shape than when she first got there. I would not put my dog there.

My wife was sent there for "rehab", rehab consisted of leaving her in a chair all night with her walker out of her reach, so she was unable to get into bed. The duty nurse told me she was in bed and slept all night, and she had her meds. My wife said she never got her meds. I cam ein one evening and found a patient who was supposed to be under supervision wandered into my wifes room. This is the "safe and secure" setting they are "providing". I had to demand her meals because they didnt bring her a menu as she was eating in her room. I pulled her out and they had adult protective services along with Garland police show up at my door the next day because I didnt have their "blessing" to leave. They have refused to provide the prescriptions the hospital set up for my wife. DONT EVER PUT YOUR FASMILY OR FRIENDS IN THIS PLACE. The system wont let me put less than 1 star, actually they dont deserve that.

My Mom was a patient here in 2011. While she was a resident, her leg was broken, Bruising on face, broken dentures, & 2 times 911 call for too low blood sugar. They give out diabetes meds without testing sugar levels. After seeing the 2 nurses on channel 4 news,10/17, I am positive this is what happened to my Mother for her injuries.

Winters Park is about 10 minutes east of Dallas. It's a large suburb and a good location--a nice community with schools and churches. They're also an assisted living facility next door owned by the same people. They offer skilled nursing, rehab, and long-term care here. It's a brand new facility. Lovely. The rooms--some private, most shared--are very attractive. The staff when I was there last was well trained, attentive, and caring. But the director of nursing left, and care seemed to fall off. The food is good; the activities are okay--probably a 4 on a 4-5 scale.

This place has been a nightmare since day one.Pretty sad when a patient feels like they have to bribe staff with candy, cookies in order for them to be more caring, friendly.treats should be a reward not a bribe. My mom had a breathing treatment done at night the man puts mask on her then walks out then my mom kept pushing button on desk so she can let him know it wasn't working he came in after so many button pushes and he in a loud voice said stop pushing button. She tried telling him that it was not working he said treatment done would not listen got mad actually called him twice anyway the [man] not notice hose separated at that point my mom just said thank you .he intimidated her.
