My father is in the Advanced Health & Rehab Center of Garland. The facility is really good and he is very happy there. The dinners are good. It's a good place, and I like it. It's wonderful. The administration was very good and very helpful. They never gave me the runaround. The staff is very helpful. He's doing rehab, and I felt comfortable with him being there. They have church service and he likes it. Even the cleaning crew there is phenomenal. I don't have anything negative to say about this facility. I would recommend someone there for their parents because I'm very satisfied with the facility and my father is also.

This place is the last call for family members. if you want to end their lives sooner than later send them here. The staff is TERRIBLE and the administration is just as bad. The basic patient needs are NOT being met, patients are ignored as the staff is overbooked with 16 patients per 8 hour shift. Bathrooms have the last patients razors, old hair etc. in the same room to shower, never cleaned up. Sheets are filthy, rooms stay filthy, under the bed, on the floors etc. The worst two staff members are: KK- Mouthy CNA bad attitude and not helpful. Cheryl - Follow's KK's lead Management who have done nothing and refuse to help: They should all go under state board review. Suan -DON- constantly threatens staff if they speak up or try to do the right thing. Brad -Lead administrator- any assistance falls on deaf ears. Arielle- will not get your paperwork taken care of. She is lazy and lack of communication skills. Be prepared to do it yourself. Do not send anyone you love here, it will speed up their demise.

I was very disappointed with Silver Leaves Nursing Home (Advanced Health and Rehab Center of Garland) because they told me that the rent starts at $750, but when we got there, it was $1,750 for a single room, not an apartment. I was very disillusioned with the whole thing, and I found the staff to be rather rude when I visited. They should provide more accurate information next time; I was looking for an apartment, not just a room. The place looked fine, but I wasn't impressed, and I would not recommend it. On the surface, it seemed friendly.

I would like to say that the care my family member received here was adequate. Nothing more and nothing less. The staff seemed really cheerful and bright when we first came and toured the family area and the facility, but as time went on, we all felt that the staff seemed to be suffering from some sort of malaise that we could not find a solution for. Our family member was clean and tidy most of the time, but there were times when they seemed to be short staffed, and he was not the cleanest that we had seen him. Additionally, I would like it if there were some sort of separation between the levels of mental ability so that those who need more attention from staff get it, as well as those who can get stimulation from other residents. It must be hard to run a nursing home or assisted living facility well.
