mom moved here after developing sepsis at another Nursing home. She was admitted during the omicron surge in early Dec, the facility has been very attentive to regularly test employees/residents and make sure we use proper PPE when visiting. Over the 2 months she has been at VGF - things have become much more organized and she gets her regular showers and sheets changed. The staff and rehab staff have been very good with my mom to make sure she gets up and walks with her walker. The one area to improve would be the menu and type of food served.

Very concerned about my mother's well being at Victoria Gardens, Frisco, after only 11 days of admission on Sept 27, 2023 she was hospitalized at Texas Health in Frisco with a bleeding due to UTI and extremely constipated. She was released after 3 days on antibiotics and laxatives. 2 days ago she started bleeding heavily again where her diaper was saturated, again today's diaper was saturated with blood. Head nurse and other nurses are on consensus that bleeding is not enough to be of concern, that the Dr will be notified. When she was hospitalized before the nursery called the ambulance, was that enough blood? They get on the defensive when we bring the subject up. Need help for my Mom and they dont seem to care.Advice??

The activities at Victoria Gardens Frisco are top notch. Venetta goes out of her way to coordinate the best activities for the residents.

My dad is at Victoria Gardens of Frisco for rehab. We chose it because it was probably the closest one for everybody to get to. He's been there almost five weeks now, but they are not doing the rehab like they should. They're not making him get out of bed. He's not getting stronger. They're not very attentive to him, and they're not usually available when he needs the help. He doesn't like the food. It's either cold or it's not what he wants. His room is fine, but he hasn't been out of his room for five weeks. Also, I can see under the bed, and in the corner it's dusty and hasn't been mopped.

My husband moved into the Victoria Gardens of Frisco. He's now closer to his doctors and my younger son. They are very helpful and they are excellent, they're working with him and they're very patient in any regard. As far as I know, the food has been satisfactory and he doesn't complain. His room seems adequate and quite nice.

I am very impressed with Victoria Gardens. When my mother was at the other place, they loaned her a walker. Now at Victoria Gardens, they are working through Medicare to get her a walker of her own and one with a seat so that she can get out and walk about the facility because she doesn’t particularly like to stay in her room that much, and they encourage her not to stay in her room. There are activities going on every day. For the Medicaid patients, they do not have a private room; they share it. But the rooms are large, bright, and very clean. The location is in a nice neighborhood. They have a beautiful porch with rocking chairs. There are areas accessible outside that are safe. Their nursing staff is very attentive, which is really important.

Horrible Horrible Place My sister had chest pains and was congested complained for a week, when she said she wanted to go to the hospital they finally took a chest xray and she has pnuemonia! The nurses here are so mean to the patients it is ridiculous. I have heard them tell patients to "get over it" "don't exaggerate" and other mean things, even when they start to cry. Most of the staff is so rude and uncaring when I said I was going to report them to the state, a nurse at the desk starting laughing. Not a good place folks. I am looking for a new place for her.
