My dad is at Landing at Watermere Frisco. They have excellent facilities, beautiful rooms, clean environment, and excellent staff. Every hour, they have different activities and whatnot for them. My mom tried the food and said it was good. The place is clean and refreshed. They sent me a picture of him painting, which he's never done before (and he does rehab and everything).

We had a very good visit of Landing at Watermere Frisco. It's a very nice facility. The staff was excellent, very helpful, and very friendly to all of the residents. The facility was extremely clean. There were a lot of nice areas, but it's expensive and they only have limited rooms, so I have to put myself on a waiting list.

Our visit to Landing at Watermere Frisco was outstanding. The staff was excellent and one thing that I noticed was the residents were walking around, they were involved, and they were extremely happy. They have the largest bathrooms out of all the facilities that we toured. Their air conditioning and heating were up high, and it's actually able to circulate the room. The facility is gorgeous. It's a newer community, so it's lacking the development of trees and bushes, but they have them planted already, they just need more time to grow. It is a unique community in a way that it has assisted living, but then on the other side of the street were family apartments. There was another part that's like an independent living situation, that's another part of that huge complex, so it was not just assisted living. They have made a complete community there. We didn't get the chance to taste their menu, but during our visit we were offered coffee, lattes, water, and basically anything we wanted from their main area where the residents were gathering. It was so pretty and the food was delicious.

The Landings at Watermere Assisted Living – Frisco, started well but finished terrible. After consistent changes in Executive Directors and steady caregiver turn-over, it became clear to our family that our father was not receiving the care he signed up for. After COVID-19 visitation restrictions were put in place, we installed a camera in the room to oversee his care. Surprisingly, we witnessed a drastic drop in the level of care he received. We witnessed a clear physical mistreatment of our father by two caregivers. Management only “reprimanded” them and allegedly reported the incident to Texas Health and Human Service. No investigation took place. Neither our father or brother (witness) have been formally interviewed. Unfortunately, those two caregivers are still employed. Within three weeks of the incident, we moved our father out of Watermere and into a facility that will give him the care he needs and deserves. Until Watermere stabilizes management and truly holds caregivers accountable for their work, we would not recommend placing your loved ones at Watermere.

The Landings at Watermere – Frisco was a great place for Dad for about a year and a half. After multiple changes in Executive Directors, the consistent turn-over of caregivers, it became clear to our family that our father was not receiving the care he signed up for. COVID-19 did not help matters, thankfully we installed a camera in the room to oversee his care. Unfortunately, we witnessed a drastic drop in the level of care he received. We witnessed a clear mistreatment of our father by two caregivers. Management only “reprimanded” them and allegedly reported the incident to Texas Health and Human Service so they could investigate the matter. We have yet to be interviewed by anybody. Unfortunately, those two caregivers are still employed. Within three weeks of the incident, we moved our father out of Watermere and into a facility that will give him the care he needs and deserves. Until Watermere stabilizes their management and personnel, truly implements a new philosophy, and holds their caregivers accountable for their work, I would not recommend placing your loved ones at Watermere.

Don’t let the beautiful settings of Watermere fool you. Your loved ones WILL NOT get the care they need. They have lost my mother on 2 occasions, doctor visits last about1-2 minutes, they not only neglect but don’t care . They don’t follow basic hygiene needs and will go over a week before giving showers. They left my mother in a wheelchair 10-12 hrs a day causing her legs to swell so badly she couldn’t get shoes on and this is a common problem in memory care. They allow other tenants to go in and out of other rooms and we have caught on camera a man going into our mothers room on several occasions, which one of those times he started making out with our mother as she lay helpless in bed and yet they blow it off like it’s a common occurrence. Our mother’s wedding ring was stolen or just taken from her finger. Even if you call them about issues still nothing gets done. They will lie to you about many things just to cover their tracks. I could go on and on about the problems and the improper care. Think long and hard before you put your loved ones in Watermere’s hands and be prepared for all the problems (at least the ones you find out about). Explore other options. Advice to you is that no matter which facility you decide on be sure to put a camera in the room so you can monitor everything.

DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES LIVE HERE!!!! THE ONE thing you expect from assisted living is that your grandmother/parent will get their medicines at the correct dose. After my uncle leaving 3 messages for the nurse staff to explain why they STOPPED giving my Grandmother her required Coumadin for a WEEK. STILL no reply at all after three weeks of additional expenses and Now a hematoma. Their management, processes and procedures NEED to be changed. Dont be fooled by the swanky decor the quality is only a facade to cover up the many issues. One Pissed Off Son & Granddaughter Edited 5/23/19: The manager has reached out to My Uncle to take accountability and try and resolve the issue. This does speak to the willingness of management to make right and hopefully keep this incident from happing in the future with any other member of the community. 7/11/19 Update: After my grandmother spent weeks in a hospital and then a rehab facility the management has decided to change their story and take back accountability for them missing A WHOLE WEEKS worth of medication. My grandmother still (months later) has a HUGE hematoma due to them not giving her her medication. This could have been fetal!!!! PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES LIVE HERE!!!!!!!

THE ONE thing you expect from assisted living is that your parent will get their medicines at the correct dose. They FAILED and stopped giving my Mom her absolutely required Coumadin for a week. After leaving 3 messages for the nurse staff to explain why the STOPPED giving my Mom her required Coumadin for a WEEK. STILL no reply at all. Since then we have incurred three weeks of additional expenses and Now a hematoma which has put her in the hospital. Their management, processes and procedures NEED to be changed. Mom moved into the Landing at Watermere four months ago and I am so happy she made this decision! It is a beautiful new and clean senior community conveniently located just minutes from the Dallas North Tollway within the Canals at Grand Park in Frisco, TX. It is a fabulous senior community! First and foremost, the care-giving/nursing, management, maintenance, concierge, dining services, and housekeeping teams are all excellent and comprised of caring and knowledgeable staff members who provide superior support for Mom and are also responsive to family members’ requests regarding Mom’s care and well-being. The Landing at Watermere provides so many wonderful amenities; a fabulous concierge physician who comes to the community every week, a physical therapy team which is co-located near the Landing at Watermere, social activities and scheduled events out in town, as well as transportation. The community also partners with a pharmacy that provides daily delivery service and is a great convenience for Mom’s medication management. Additionally, the Landing at Watermere provides multiple levels of care ranging from Independent Living, to Memory Care and is so important if Mom should need increased support. I am so very impressed by each member of the entire staff and I know Mom is living in a wonderful community where she receives help from a truly caring team.

My grandmother is a resident of Landing at Watermere Frisco. It's a beautiful and friendly community. The individual apartments have a little kitchen, and bathroom with stand-up shower. I like the cleanliness of the place, and they have all sorts of stuff going on all the time for the residents. The staff has been great, and the appearance of the community is very good.

I highly recommend the Landing at Watermere. Our experience there was brief: June to August 2017 due to my 82yr old father's declining health. However, I can't imagine finding a better place to help us provide him with the care he needed. Their beautiful facilities made it feel as if we were on vacation in a 5 star hotel. Their staff were just remarkable. Always friendly, polite, and generally cared about my father and our well being. The food was another plus. I knew we'd found the perfect place when my college aged kids would come and visit often, stating they wished they could live there. If you need assisted living or extended care, do not pass up the opportunity to visit the Landing at Watermere.

The Extended Care program is such a high level of personal care and there is really nothing else like it in our area. Everything is first rate, from the kind and attentive staff to the private dining area, on-duty nurse, and specialized activity director. All is designed for residents who need more care and a personal touch. I'm so glad we found The Landing for mom.

I liked Watermere Frisco, but they started piping lavender oil into the air and it was a little strong. It's a brand-new, multi-story facility, so they only had 15 people living there when I visited, but they can hold 70 people. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. They're a studio-type setup with a microwave and a sink. They have lots activities, but it's a little bit more expensive than where our mother is at now. The staff-member that I spoke to was new, but she was very friendly and she went and found somebody to answer questions that she couldn't answer herself.

Beautiful and clean facility but the atmosphere felt uninviting. Residents did not interact much and looked sad. The person that toured me seemed nice but a bit desperate. Not sure if I would place a loved one here.

We visited Landing at Watermere Frisco. The rooms were nice and it was very clinical. They had a large dining area adjoined with the activities room. The staff was nice. It was clean and it had a fancy hotel feel to it. The only downside was for the memory side, if I had memory issues, I'd get lost trying to find my room. It was very big and although clean, there wasn't a whole lot to help you get back to your room. The facility was not very friendly to the memory residents.

Beautiful brand new community! I was able to tour the community and it was amazing. The people that lived there seemed very happy and the staff that was working were very polite and helpful. They have some really interesting things there that I have not seen at other facilities. This is going to be the place we choose for my parents when they move to TX next month!

I want to thank Mark, the Executive Director, and the staff as they went "above and beyond" taking care of my mom and our family. Landing at Watermere Frisco is a beautiful place and we made a wise choice when selecting a new home for our mom. But it is still just a place; the caring staff is what makes it a very special place.
