My mom stayed in Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Frisco. It just got worse through the years, and the meals are terrible with no variety. They currently have a lunch special and a dinner special. And if you don't like the specials, you can have a backup each and every day, each and every week, each and every month. The backup is a peanut butter sandwich, a cheeseburger sandwich, or a chicken salad sandwich. I would die of boredom before a week was up. Her room really stayed the same the whole time she was there. They didn't do any upgrades on the room itself, other than cleaning it weekly, other than getting her a new refrigerator when it quit running, or getting her a new air conditioner when it quit working. They had two different rooms. They had the size of her room, which was the smaller one, and then they had a bigger one. But they basically were the same room, the same layout, just the bigger one. There were a few good medicine techs, two or three girls that had been there quite a while. The rest of the medicine techs didn't seem to be well trained, and they could not keep a nursing director. They were doing good if they kept her for a year, it's just almost a revolving door with the nursing director, much less the people under her. They did trips like shopping trips, and trips to go out and stuff. She just wasn't partaking of them. They had a beauty salon. It wasn't open every day of the week. And I think that the ones that used it the most used it all the time. As far as Mom, she just occasionally gets a haircut. She wasn't too inclined to do that. The nicest thing for Bethesda was they had four different courtyards, so it was easy to get the dog out to do its business. They just remodeled this year, and they spent a lot of time, and I'm sure spent a lot of money. But if they had a decorator doing it, I would never hire that decorator. It was just kind of crazy. They took and laid what appeared to be nice hardwood floors out in the hallway, but one section would be going horizontal, the next section would be going vertical. You don't usually lay wood floors like that.

Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Frisco was lovely. The residents seemed to be very engaged, happy, and lively. It was just amazing how accommodating the staff was, Julie and Chris, as they were the ones that helped me. They were nice. I liked that they have medical staff. That was important to me. I loved that someone is sitting by the front door, as well as alarms on all the other doors so that if my mother would attempt to go outside, she would be stopped. The dining room was full when I was there. I saw the menu and it looked really good. I wouldn't mind being there myself. The size of the rooms was amazing. Even if it was the smallest room, the size was surprisingly the same as what my mother has now in another facility. They were nice. They're actually in the process of replacing some of the carpets in the rooms. They also have lovely outside areas.

Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living was wonderful. It's one of the facilities that we're going to present to Mom. There was quite a bit of staff. Everybody was upbeat as far as what they're doing. There was a couple of them that let us come in and look at their place. They really didn't have one to show, but that was OK, as long as it was OK with them. We did that, and it was fine. Actually, that was a good idea, because you could see what was going on and how things were laid out. The rooms weren't really big, but they always had stuff to do, and they were encouraged to volunteer if they wanted more to do, so that was good. We saw a one-bedroom and a studio. There were people in there, but they were very clean. Some of them had a lot of stuff in them, but that's OK, that's where they're living. The staff was wonderful. The guy was very upbeat. They took us around to see everybody in the dining room to see the courtyards and stuff, so I think we saw everything, even the hair salon.

Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living, Frisco was a very warm and welcoming community. They provide wealth of services at a very reasonable price. They were very accommodating. The staff was all very friendly and encouraging. We felt actually quite welcome. One of the things that impressed us was that it was a faith-based community, and this is particularly important to my wife's aunt. We were also very impressed with the size and the layout of the rooms, and extremely impressed with their menu and their cafeteria. There appeared to be quite a large number of amenities. We were very impressed. As far as keeping in mind the kind of help or assistance that my wife's aunt is going to need, we felt like it addressed all of her needs and then some. They seemed to have quite a number of activities, and the services they offered were quite an impressive list.

We chose Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living Frisco, and my dad will be moving this weekend. I liked the location, pricing, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. They've been very helpful throughout this whole process. They have cable and internet included. They have activities that they do. They have movie nights. They have a mariachi band that comes in. They have a nice courtyard.

Bethesda Gardens was a beautiful place. I didn't meet anybody other than the social director. The rooms I saw were nice. They had a good schedule of activities. I didn't see anything there to complain about. They're really good. The staff did a very good job. I didn't see other things because it's a holiday, but the staff came in to let me tour it. There's a lot of amenities; but when you're not staying there, you really don't know how everything goes. It is a place that I will consider when the time comes. It's very clean. They have a courtyard and a salon. I also got to peek into their exercise room. It's easy to find. It's near the new hospital, and there's a lot of restaurants right around there, too.

Our family is so thankful for Bethesda Gardens in Frisco and all their wonderful staff. Our parents have lived there since Feb. 2019 and when Covid hit this year, we were so thankful with our decision. Everyone at Bethesda has been welcoming and caring to our parents since the first day. They go out of their way to help each resident feel at home.

I am so thankful for the care my mom is receiving at Bethesda Gardens. She has been a resident for over a year. She moved in very sick and is now thankfully feeling healthy. She contributes to receive excellent care from wonderful employees. Tommie, the executive director, is transparent and helpful. She is a wonderful leader and has assembled a great team. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of activities and opportunities for families to spend time with loved ones. My mom enjoys the food. I toured many facilities and Bethesda Gardens has the right combination of comfort, value, professionalism and care. My mom is happy and I trust that she is safe and in a place where she is treated like one of the family.
