About The Auberge at Benbrook Lake - CLOSED in Fort Worth, Texas
The Auberge Assisted Living is an exclusive community in close proximity to Mira Vista and within a stone's throw of the beautiful Benbrook Lake. Whether your loved one is moving in from Fort Worth, Crowley, Burleson, or anywhere, your loved one will feel right at home at Junction City.
As a specialized memory care community, our caregivers provide exceptional treatment to residents with memory-related illnesses such as Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia.
Access to care staff is where the value truly lies in assisted living. Residents living in assisted living facilities live in their own private rooms while receiving extra help with many different medical services from specialized care providers. These hospitality and healthcare staff members monitor residents' well-being and help keep them healthy.
We understand needing assistance with ADLs or specialized Memory Care is trying for a family and their loved one. That's why we maintain a trusting, safe, and exciting environment where your loved one can thrive. A key part of ensuring your loved one continues to thrive is our SPARK program. This award-winning program inspired by Montessori-methods makes all the difference in our residents' lives.
Your loved one will experience SPARK for themselves when they participate in a variety of sensory activities. Some days, that includes creating art in a class environment, other times it's baking and cooking lessons, or perhaps one of our instructor-led musical programs.

Don’t let the pretty garden/outdoor area fool you into placing your loved one here. The Auberge at Benbrook Lake has constant staff turnover in all positions, including executive director, director of nursing & aids & it is detrimental to the residents. Billing errors, scheduling of appointment errors, administration of medicine errors, poor hiring practices, training of staff is lacking and there is a general lack of concern from the director of nursing to the executive director to the management company. Communication is basically non-existent and/or ineffective. Price increases are often(as little as 3 months from move in) & since there are 7 care level plans, you will be paying a drastically higher price in no time. Cleanliness is not a priority for residents nor their rooms & actually it seems to be purposeful or laziness.

This place was great before the COVID. The state has made it a requirement to allow two designated essential caregivers a weekly visit with the option to visit in the resident's bedroom (even if it's a shared room.). However, Auberge has made it nearly impossible to have any contact with my family member. They all but prohibit any kind of check-ins. I've been allowed one 15-minute visit every two weeks in the designated area. They offer a free Covid test, but it takes them 10 days to get the results. They only do face-time calls after multiple requests over a week period. (We ask every other day, and aren't pestering them but probably should). They actually sent us an email asking families to 're-think' in-person visits. There have been no reports or details of the status of my relative. We're looking to move them, but it's so difficult to change arrangements. I definitely encourage anyone looking to place a loved one to look elsewhere, and find out if the facility permits the essential caregiver visits. 2-stars because up until 9 months ago the folks working here were extremely kind and took great care of the residents. And because they have kept my loved one alive, as far as we know. I have to wonder what's going on over there that they won't allow reasonable visits and are refusing to follow state laws.

The community was excellent. The rooms were adequate. The staff was good and the dining area was excellent. It was very clean and their approaches to the residents were excellent. The place is a little larger, with a larger outside space which we liked. The lady who showed us around was excellent. I would recommend them.

From what I saw, it was just wonderful. They took really good care of mom. They constantly had people watching them, and it was a wonderful situation for her. The staff was very attentive; if you needed someone, they got there really quickly. They were very good to the family also. They would always have snacks and drinks. I just couldn’t say enough good things about them. They were really good, and it has a homey feeling. There were sitting areas like a living room with chairs, a TV, and a little dining room. It wasn’t the main dining hall, but it was the area that you could sit down with family members to eat, and they would serve the family meals. It was a really wonderful situation. It was probably the cleanest one I have ever been in; it looked immaculate. The eating areas were just immaculate. The people were cleaning a lot, and they did it in a time I didn’t see. It always smells good. I walked all over this place, and I did not smell urine.
