I toured The Grandview of Chisholm Trail. What I like best about it is that it's brand new. It's very nicely decorated and very clean. What I like about it is that it's huge. The staff seem very interactive with their clients. They knew all their names. The food was very good. They have many options for each meal. You had a choice of 2 or 3. It was a formal dining setting with crystal. The residents there are at a much higher level. The dining area has a wide open area with multiple small tables. It's very nice.

It’s all lies when they do the tour they don’t keep their promises or hold up to the standards they throw at you. The reception lady is rude when I tried asking for Dr appointments or anytime I wanted to ask for my mom’s medication. She has no idea how to smile or be kind. As I was waiting for her to talk to me another person was saying excuse me I had to come up here because you kept saying hold and I told you you haven’t paid me for the water system. It’s pointless telling the ED any concern she is rude and says her staff is the best and it’s all crap. The food service was never good the plates would come cold and soups Everything mom order was always burn. Mother stopped going to activities because of the activity person being rude and always did the same activities. My mother hates bingo now. The workers were always on the phones when I would ask them a question. My mother told me multiple times at night the ladies would yell at her for walking and told her take your *** to sleep. I knew I had to get mom away from this place. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you love your loved ones don’t put them through what my mother went through.

My mother was a resident at the Grandview for a total of one week. During that week, meals were often served late, we endured a fire in the kitchen and had to leave for the evening because my mother's apartment was flooded. On her last evening she was there, she was found on the floor by a caregiver. I was not notified until the next morning. Then she fell again and broke four bones landing her in the hospital for a week and two months of recovery. She was unable to return due to the level of care she needed. During our one week there, the management seemed unconcerned and even irritated about our disruptions and injury. They never reached out to us to check on us or showed any compassion, just perfunctory interest. Overall, it was a disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this assisted living facility to anyone looking for a safe and happy place to live.

The management at this facility is lacking in Memory Care. They do not know how to adjust to the personality differences of each dementia patient. If your family member can speak and express events then The Grandview looks for a way to get them out. If they cannot express themselves then you are safe. The Executive Director, Nichol has no clue how to run a business much less how to care for patients. Tammy, the Activities Director is awesome at getting each resident to join in and our resident loved her! We have moved our loved one to a new environment and they are thriving...thanks to a great, trained staff and wonderful upper management. We are greeted by name and our loved one is always foremost in their minds. Do NOT go by outward appearances as The Grandview grounds are beautiful. It's what is inside the doors that I lacking. For the longest, they ate on styrofoam, etc. I worry for the residents we left behind.
