My dad stayed at Magnolia Assisted Living and Memory Care. I liked it when it was still under the old management. Once they got bought out, they kind of became more of a business than people. They got rid of all the staff that was there before, and we just kind of felt like a number versus family. If the residents didn't want to participate in activities, they wouldn't encourage them. They just let them lay there in the bed. The place was very clean and they updated it, and it looked great. My dad's room was good except for the bathroom being broken. They had activity centers, lounge areas, a library, a dining hall, and an outside garden area.

I am a long distance beloved friend for 73 years of a resident. Unfortunately I am states away and unable to visit her and the facility or evaluate alot of the proposed areas except staff. The lack of phone interaction has me very concerned. When I call to talk to my friend, I usually get a voice mail saying they will either call me back or my friends voice mail is full. She doesn’t have a phone and rarely do I get a phone call. Last night when I finally got thru the person answering the phone said she had been on duty since 6am and was the director and hadn’t received any complaints. It was now 9 pm and maybe she hadn’t receive any complaints from visitors but not the case with family and friends not trying to reach their loves ones. I find it very discerning and unsafe for there not be a person on call to that phone calls 24/7. Sounds like all they care about is the dollar and not the welfare of their clients. And to have only one staff person for all the residents as I was led to believe!!!!

We toured The Crossings at Flower Mound, and it was very nice. Natalie was wonderful. It was very impressive, but it was just for memory. Natalie was very welcoming, and she showed us everything and the price range. She showed us the rooms, and they were very nice. I thought it was interesting, but it is memory care and there are no showers in any of the rooms. There is a community shower, and she took us and showed us that room. It was actually quite functional. I had to explain to her that we have no idea, but we think that he's more of an assisted living client. She said to ask any questions and to let her know if she can help in any way.
