My mom is at the Ventana in independent living. The facilities are beautiful, the leadership/staff couldn't be more hospitable, and the food is incredible. All the residents/members are incredibly nice as well. The schedule of activities is very inclusive. It is centrally located in Dallas. We are glad we helped my mom make this choice for a comprehensive retirement community.

I toured Ventana by Buckner. It's very open, very well-staffed, and very interactive with the clients. The staff seems to be very hands-on. You also have the option to move to a higher level of care if needed. They have a beauty salon. They also have outside activities and pet therapy.

I Am a Future Resident (as well as being friends with current residents) Ventana is not the typical retirement or continuing care community. Rather, Ventana is a high-rise, luxury senior living community that earns a five-star rating for being outstanding in every way one would expect. - Facility. Ventana is beautiful and modern, yet comfortable and extremely well-maintained. The interior and apartments are bright and spacious. Apartments are available in 1-, 2-, and three-bedroom configurations, many with balconies, and all with floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious walk-in closets. Each apartment has a kitchen and breakfast counter. There is also a 12th floor Sky Lounge with a view overlooking Dallas and the Park Cities. - Location. Ventana is centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants, grocery shopping, and the world-class North Park Mall. It is also within short distance to major hospitals and health care facilities as well as driving distance to two major airports (DFW International and nearby Love Field). - Staff and Security. Staff is most friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Being knowledgeable and service-oriented, staff provides excellent guidance and advice. Security is on-site 24-hours, and access to and within the community, including elevators, is by resident fobs. - Dining. Food is exceptional and consists of well-prepared meals There arefive unique food and beverage venues, including a private dining room. The menu is overseen by renowned chef Stephen Pyles. Residents not only can select from the menu but can also choose how their food is prepared. - Amenities. Available to residents is a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center, heated indoor pool and spa, a movie theater, pet park, putting green, outdoor kitchen area with gas grills, wi-fi and high-speed internet throughout, cable TV, and a library and business center with computer connections. In addition, Ventana includes weekly housekeeping, transportation - Parking and Secure Storage. Provided is valet parking and parking on two levels of well-lighted underground parking. Guest parking is conveniently located near the main entrance. In addition, secured storage areas are provided in the underground parking areas for each apartment. - Activities. A short list of the activities and programs available include comprehensive wellness programs, recreational programs, social programs, educational programs, Bible studies, and movie nights. In summary, nothing has been overlooked in providing a community that you will be proud to call home.

Excellent...my wife and were delighted to visit Ventana. Katie is amazing and did an outstanding job in introducing us to the facility. The accommodations truly first class, as was the food and everyone of the Members we came in contact with. We came away with the thoughts that although perfect, we are not quite ready for this style of living. We will constantly look in to see future availability. Two to three years out is our timing. We look forward to a couple of follow-up questions to be answered. Again big kudos to Katie and Jennifer.

Ventana is a very nice building complex in a super area of north Dallas. All activities and medical care are contained within the complex. The gym and salt-water pool with whirlpool are excellent. All three meals served each week have an excellent menu with numerous selections including an array of beverages. There are three different dining venues, plus a separate room for private dinners. There is a large selection of apartment floor plans from 1 to 3 bedrooms. Half the rooms face north and half south. Some have a balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very service oriented. The other residents are also friendly and create a great neighborly-feel. Many activities are available for an array of interests. Some are social interaction; some are educational and some are craft oriented. A small theater is available and several meeting rooms. A top-floor Sky Lounge is neat to visit and see the city. Transportation is provided to nearby medical facilities/offices, grocery stores, as well as the nearby airport (Love Field).

The rooms are spacious with well organized closets. All of the appliances are in excellent condition. The views are great. Dining is great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Marilyn was the person who toured the facility and I received excellent guidance from her.

Ventana is just a wonderful facility in all aspects------ ----Friendly and helpful staff ----Beautiful and well designed and new independent living facilities ----Many fabulous and fun activities for residents ----Every amenity that a person might want ---------------beautiful and large workout area with large swimming pool- --------------- several restaurants for every type of dining with 5 star food in each one ---------------many areas where residents can get together for games or just relaxing -----Ventana has everything anyone might ever want or need with all of it is the highest quality

Ventana by Buckner was our first choice, but it's a little bit noisy. It was a "no" right away for my parents-in-law from the first visit. It was a wonderful facility, but it's kind of very noisy. It's basically on the highway, so that was absolutely unacceptable. If I'm going to rate facilities and so on, it will be five out of five everything except it's kind of noisy. There's no fresh air, and it's extremely noisy to my taste, too. The staff during the tour was fantastic. They're all great. Everyone was absolutely very good. Everything about it was just brilliant. The building was beautiful. Everything was so well maintained. It's a relatively new building, extremely clean, very spacious, and very modern. Everything was really beautiful. It's like a five-star hotel. They had different activities, but we were interested in their rooms mostly. The food and gym club were great. My mother-in-law loves to swim, and there's a swimming pool. The food was very good.

My family has called multiple times regarding care for our father, specific questions that impact us all. One of those was we were told they’d only talk to one family member, during induction. We have no idea about several aspects and cannot get an answer. How do you trust a place like that?
