My mom is at the Ventana in independent living. The facilities are beautiful, the leadership/staff couldn't be more hospitable, and the food is incredible. All the residents/members are incredibly nice as well. The schedule of activities is very inclusive. It is centrally located in Dallas. We are glad we helped my mom make this choice for a comprehensive retirement community.

I toured Ventana by Buckner. It's very open, very well-staffed, and very interactive with the clients. The staff seems to be very hands-on. You also have the option to move to a higher level of care if needed. They have a beauty salon. They also have outside activities and pet therapy.

I Am a Future Resident (as well as being friends with current residents) Ventana is not the typical retirement or continuing care community. Rather, Ventana is a high-rise, luxury senior living community that earns a five-star rating for being outstanding in every way one would expect. - Facility. Excellent...my wife and were delighted to visit Ventana. Katie is amazing and did an outstanding job in introducing us to the facility. The accommodations truly first class, as was the food and everyone of the Members we came in contact with. We came away with the thoughts that although perfect, we are not quite ready for this style of living. We will constantly look in to see future availability. Two to three years out is our timing. Ventana is a very nice building complex in a super area of north Dallas. All activities and medical care are contained within the complex. The gym and salt-water pool with whirlpool are excellent. All three meals served each week have an excellent menu with numerous selections including an array of beverages. There are three different dining venues, plus a separate room for private dinners. The rooms are spacious with well organized closets. All of the appliances are in excellent condition. The views are great. Dining is great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Marilyn was the person who toured the facility and I received excellent guidance from her.

Ventana by Buckner was our first choice, but it's a little bit noisy. It was a "no" right away for my parents-in-law from the first visit. It was a wonderful facility, but it's kind of very noisy. It's basically on the highway, so that was absolutely unacceptable. If I'm going to rate facilities and so on, it will be five out of five everything except it's kind of noisy. There's no fresh air, and it's extremely noisy to my taste, too. The staff during the tour was fantastic. They're all great....

My family has called multiple times regarding care for our father, specific questions that impact us all. One of those was we were told they’d only talk to one family member, during induction. We have no idea about several aspects and cannot get an answer. How do you trust a place like that?
