Rooms are in need of repairs, staff stand around why the patients are pissy. Sitting in wheel chairs no staff interactions, have not seen ammenities. The employees the aides fight and the building smells like weed.

The Activity Director Mindy, is one of the Best I've encountered at the Villa. Always helpful, always taking care of the concerns I have with my loved one. I love the way she interact with her group, making sure their in activities, danceing, singing, socialization. Making the calls, when there is a concern an needs. When she see you in the facility, always welcoming.

I admitted my aunt to The Villa at Mountain View a few weeks ago. It was clean and had no odors. The staff was nice and friendly and seemed to genuinely care about her well-being. My aunt celebrated her 97th birthday while she was a patient and the staff bought her a cake and sang happy birthday to her. That gesture truly made her day. The Rehab team was great too. They worked with my aunt every day and she showed great improvement. My family and I were very pleased with our experience and allowed her to transition to a permanent patient.

Staff does not communicate orders well. Never met the Dr. during the 2wk stay there. Mom was there for rehab and the techs unconcerned. Mom's day nurse Steve was wonderful...other that that staff average to poor. When discharged, misinformed, no communication, and no staff member assisted with the discharge of my mom to the car...be it she was in a wheelchair. Orders were not complete with transfer. Very disappointed with facility during the most crucial time of our lives.

I would rate them zero stars if I could. As a transfer from another facility their continuation of service is dismal at best. Medications that were scheduled (I brought the list of medications & their scheduled times with me) and my daily dosage was cut in 1/2 and pain medication was put on "as needed" status instead of scheduled as it was in the previous facility. There has been no interest or care about whether I get the proper medications, in the proper doses at the proper time. With my various diagnosed conditions, it's imperative that these medications are administered in a timely and consistent manner. They have no concept of keeping to schedules. Meals, smoking, ect is whenever they get around to it although meals are closer to their scheduled time than other issues with scheduling. The staff doesn't care a whit about new residents and from what I can tell, they simply tolerate residents who were there when I arrived. I've been here two days. The worst two days since I was declared blind. The staff doesn't care if I can find my way around or not and have wandered down the wrong hall 3 times just trying to find the snack machines, which are in the employee break room. The morning of my first full day here, I was trying to get someone...anyone...to at least give me a reasonable excuse why schedules weren't being recognized and adhered to. One staff member asked another "Who is this guy?". The response was "he's one of mine and we've been trying to get rid of those kinds of folks." Really?? Is it because I'm able to speak for myself, that you're not caring enough to engage a resident and find out what the problem actually is or because I'm white?? Yes, that thought has crossed my mind. I arrived on Friday, this is Sunday. Tomorrow begins the search for a facility that has to be better than this lackadaisical excuse for a nursing facility. The way this facility operates, they are going to kill a resident sooner or later. I do feel bad for that reality. Just so it's known that I'm not speaking from an uninformed perspective, I was the resident council president at my previous facility. I'm well aware of the complaints that come from residents and how the resident council is supposed to be the voice and advocate for the residents and to work to resolve these issues. This place either has no resident council or the resident counsel has no clue what it's mission is to be. I see that as a failure on the part of the administrative staff for not educating and teaching the council what it's supposed to accomplish.

Mother was there for rehab after a stay in the hospital. ..the first few days went well...she made a few friends and enjoyed the a.m. staff...however the p.m. staff was another story...my mother has early signs of dementia and sun downing...so she is active during the night which can be a challenge...the nurse was over medicating her to keep her out for the night...which made her more of a fall risk...she was diagnosed with liver disease and less medication the better...she was given 2 pills of 50mg tramadol at once...nurse said it was 2 for 1 night....it was her lucky night. ..she fell twice the next day and got a huge knot on the back of her head. ..the doctor checked for a concusion 48 hours later. .once she fell waiting for assistance to the bathroom...waited over 30 minutes but got urgent and tried alone...she had an accident and slipped and fell from her urine on floor...I advised nurse and even offered to clean it up myself...after all it is my mother. ..she said no that it was their job...this was 10 p.m. on Friday. ..stooped by before work Saturday 10:30 a.m. dried up urine on floor and room smelled...I asked them not to give her tramadol unless absolutely necessary that same morning...when checking on her the same afternoon around 4:30 p.m. she told me she did what we discussed and didn't take the medicine for pain...tramadol...she had slupped them into a napkin and handed me 3 tramadol pills...supposed to be 1 every 4 hours or more. ..that was 3 in about 6 hours...you can go onto a comma from that...I was able to get her out but I feel for the ones left behind...I dropped in at all hours along with other family members...a few times late at night I could hear a nurse hollar, curse at patients even threaten to fight them because they didn't care for their attitude or tone talking to them....Clarence a staff member on a.m. shift was a joy and ray of sunshine there. ..if everyone had his care and love for the patient as if it was your parent the place would have people waiting to get care there. ...I chose it for the 5 star ratings this is all new to me caring for my mom and her illness....I felt stupid and careless as if I had put her in danger...5 star rating is most deceiving. ...when confronting and advising people who were in charge it was dismissed and made to seem trival as if I was over reacting to the situation and not taken seriously by anyone. ..I wish they had camera's to monitor the staff like a nanny cam...they could be horrified by what the see and hear...or just cover it up and keep collecting the money...seems to me to be all about the money not the quality of care given to our lived ones....we need more love in the world and the heart to treat others as we want to be treated. ..Clarence GOD BLESS YOU and your's....you were the one outstanding, caring and amazing staff member there. ....

Terrible excuse for a nursing home. The nurses do only what they have to do and nothing else. If you challenge them, they get very defensive and will not hesitate to lie to cover their ineptitudes. They do not answer the call light for hours and then don't take care of the issue. The food is terrible and you never get what you order. You have to beg to get ice. Please hope your family member doesn't get very sick or they'll just let you lay there until your almost in a coma and then, if they or a family member happens to notice it, someone will finally send the patient to the ER. They do not have a separate wing or some kind of control for mentally challenged patients allowing them to roam free into anyone's rooms. There is also a severe problem with personal items disappearing. They have carpeting on the floors and stains and smells are a major problem (especially urine). Another significant problem is trying to communicate with the staff (admin, DON, social worker, wound nurse). If you can find them they never seem to have time to have any kind of meaningful conversation with you. Do not put your love one in this facility.

Terrible facility to take your loved one. Please be warned. From the negligence that was shown to our loved one, they have landed in the hospital. We made complaints more than once to the DON and Administrator and they will tell you sorry that you "feel" that way, that it was your "perception" that we're not taking good care of your loved one. They don't take you seriously even with proof of the negligence. They will defend there good for nothing nurses that yell at you for asking questions, the ones who will not come to see your loved one for hours. They are the problem as well. Our loved is in the hospital because they would not listen to us about something as simple as treating a UTI. If you ring your bell, they come in and turn OFF the call light, and never come back atleast a good 30 minutes can pass by. I strongly discourage anyone to bring their loved one to their care. Do your research, be there and make your own decision of course but what we suffered was complete negligence, and we tried to voice our concern, only for it to be ignored. Lastly would not recommend you bringing a loved one with a trach! They are not skilled, they are not trained in caring for those special needs.

In the beginning this facility seemed like a wonderful place for my mom to recover from her stroke but it didn't turn out that way. Early on I received a survey call for this Rehab center and they asked me certain questions about if this or that had been explained to me. Unfortunatly they were not so I told them so. Evidently that put a bad mark on me and my mom because it seemed like I started having problems out of them. All of a sudden money outside of her insurance was needed and they were trying to find all kind of ways to discharge her from the facility. The night crew seemed to get lazy and certain things didn't get taken care of in a timely fashion. Needless to say they found a way to discharge her due to "not making any progress on getting better."

Mother is new to this place, I hope she will grow to love, it's so close to her family. I have a complaint, however. The first thing that made us (Family members) sick was the horrible stench from the floor. Then when we get mother to her room, her pillow smelled of urine. I would hope the floors get mailed with a disinfected/cleaning product, Mom is not used to living in this kind of condition, she cleaned homes for years and worked in the food line. Thank you for taking time to read this.
