We're at The Legacy Midtown Park. I have never seen or been in such a well-organized architecture and with such a fine staff, fine restaurants, and fine facilities. It is a premier retirement home. The staff is excellent, professional, and extremely friendly. For a person coming here for the first time and even after, they're very welcoming and very accommodating. I've never seen anything like it, and I'm over 70 years old. I've been in resorts all over the world, and I have never seen such a fine staff and establishment. The food is superb and fresh in a time when I know it's really hard to find food. It's just excellent. I've already told them I want to be part of the library committee. They have a little library here and fine exercise and physical therapy facilities. I'm going to meet with the person in charge of that because they have free exercise time where you don't have to be in a group. You can do your own thing if you know what to do because I'm relatively healthy. It was expensive, but it is well worth it. I'm in independent living, but my husband needs more care. He's over in a different area. It's a huge complex, so I get lost at least once a day. They even gave me a schematic of all the buildings and stuff, but I did better today.

The Legacy Midtown Park is brand new. It opened in February 2020. The design is very contemporary with lots of light. There is lots of beautiful, original artwork. It's just a beautiful facility. They have an art studio, they have a full gym with all sorts of type of equipment, and a person to guide you, and they have a heated swimming pool. The person who gave me a tour was very good. The apartment has an open floor plan when you walk in, so you have a big kitchen with full-sized appliances and a nice, big island that overlooks a living room/dining room. There's also room for like a small dining room table in the living room. Off to one side are two bedrooms, and each one has a bath. The master has an attached bath, and the second bedroom has a bath right near it. The bathrooms are very modern with beautiful tile work and beautiful cabinets and mirrors and light fixtures. They have a full list of activities. One thing I was really pleased with is that most places on Sundays, there's very little to do, and the food you get is not very good. This place has activities seven days a week. It has a wide range of activities. They show movies two nights a week, and it has the usual bingo and Jeopardy. Another feature is they have a really large arts studio with lots of windows, natural light coming in, and I'm really looking forward to working in that art studio. Everything is brand new.
