This is the second time my mother has been in this very nice and clean rehabilitation facility. Both times have been excellent experiences for her. Everyone from the administration to medical personnel, to kitchen help treats her well and is always willing to help her. I am very impressed with the care this place provides. It's great knowing that my mom will not only be well taken care of, but she will also be treated with respect.

My wife was taken to the emergency rm due to sudden, rapid dehydration. Once stable she was sent to this "nursing/rehab" facility. I had suspicions from the start but my wife needed to get to the point where she could get back to mobility. As time went on I found out that they have on inter/intra department communications and ignore patient request. My wife developed neuropathy (nerve pain) in her legs while there and needed to have this addressed before moving forward with phys therapy. That also was ignored. She was not asked but ordered to do things like therapy and taking a bath. Real good bedside manner! After beating my head against a wall trying to explain that the pain had to be managed in order to move forward I had her moved to another facility (4 stars) If you love someone who needs therapy take it from me AND DON'T ALLOW THEM TO END UP THERE!!!
Thanks, but no

Terrible place. Prior to COVID, place was only acceptable. The nurses talk very rudely to the family members. Food looked disgusting, and menu is repetitive. Nursing staff never answers the phone. You can’t ever talk to any department heads- they’re always “unavailable”, and don’t return calls. Find another facility for your loved one… not this one. You’ll be sorry.

My dad stayed at Cimarron Place Health & Rehabilitation Center. It was not good. The staff basically tells you that there's people in and out of the room constantly checking on your loved one, but I would get there and my dad would be in the same sheets, in the same outfit, with no bath or anything. The food was not impressive. There was nothing going on either. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I hope they improve it because their location is great. The staff members were nice at first, but then they weren't so great. The place looked like a hospital.

I was not happy for the care of my husband during his rehab stay. His food was not what a diabetic and copd patient should be eating, for example rice and corn served on the same plate where too many carbs served at one time. He constantly had to return the food because it was cold. Time & time again something would be left off of his tray. He was going to dialysis and lunch was supposed to be sent with him and no lunch was sent. I requested medication for a cold/allergy and requested the facility's doctor to check with him and it took 3 days for her to okay even an xray and only breathing treatments were given. I requested and left a note with my phone number for the doctor to call me and I never received a message or call. My husband was discharged with instructions for a hospital bed to be delivered and he has been home now for 3 days and still no hospital bed. He had to request for even a shower, bandage changed on his wound from the fall he received when his blood sugar dropped to nearly nothing and he spent 5 days in the hospital. I cannot give this facility a good rating.

My mom who is in her 70's was transferred to this facility 2 weeks ago. We have had multiple meetings with staff about medication times to no avail! She has terminal cancer and is in constant pain.

I went to take a tour of the nursing home so that I can finds a place for my dad. The minute I walked I was greeted with a smile. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I even got to enjoy the live music. My dad has now been in the Nursing Home for 6 days and he is so happy there. He is even eating all his food which is something we couldn't get him to do in the hospital. I am grateful for all the nurses and CNA's that work there because they have helped my dad get batter. they do take a bit to come at times but they always make up for it by being extra nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

This facility has come a long way since my mom first moved in. The customer service has definitely improved. There is ALWAYS something going on for the residents to do. My mom is so happy with the fun activities planned for residents. We are happy with our staff.

I have a relative there and they have told the patients that they are short towels and are dried with blankets after they are bathed. They only change the diapers 4 times a day even if the patient has loose bowels. They don't deliver their food only twice a day when the patient stays in their rooms due to illness. The doctors don't visit the patients even if the patients are sick. They need to let go the Administrator for not taking care of our loved ones.

We took our father out of this facility after 5 weeks of being in the skilled nursing /rehab section due to a previous stroke. Wait time on call buttons could be as long as 15-30 minutes. Food was terrible but there were choices. Nursing staff and respond time was inadequate. My dad ended up with a bed sore on his back that we brought attention to but we were told they would "watch it." After two days it got terribly infected and upon our insistence he was transported to the ER where he was in excruciating pain and presented in kidney failure due to the infection. There was no question about our 89 year old father getting surgery for this mass that had gone into and spread out through his healthy tissue. We did not know if our dad would make it through the surgery but he did and now is in another facility although his rehab from the stroke was delayed due to the recovery from the surgery.. I do NOT recommend this facility for your loved one.

this place 3 yrs ago was very very nice. Fully staffed with kind and friendly personal. The food was so great.when you came to visit you would get hungry from the smell. Now we are in 2016, UNDER STAFFED,Food is bad!!!!.Have to wait over hours to get meds,Left in wet and soiled beds up to 45 minutes. Staff is over loaded with patients. It is not a very good place, due to poor management. Patients don't see a doctor for months 4-6. It is a shame because it was one of the nicest homes in Corpus.

We visited Cimarron and it was very nice, clean, and the proximity to the family is great. The staff was very qualified, the room was adequate, the meal was great, and the therapist was doing great. Every day they have something going on; they have a calendar of monthly activities. They have Bingo, movie nights, and some of the ladies get manicures and pedicures.

The facility is newer and made out of brick on the outside with a home like feel to the inside. Each resident resides in a personal bedroom down one of five hallways or resides with a roommate in a shared bedroom. Residents are allowed to decorate their rooms as they choose and have family and friends visit them often. The staff includes one RN, a few LVNs, many CNAs and two or three medication aides. The treatment really depends on the person giving care since both good and bad care giving can be seen by any one of the staff members at any given time. Overall though the staff was polite and the owner was very honest and straightforward. There is no doubt in my mind that they are a business first and foremost and that making a profit is something very important to them but the owner was kind and the focus on comfort and satisfaction remained constant during my few visits there. Amenities were also appreciated since they not only had rooms to stay in but opportunities to socialize and play games, eat in the cafeteria for each meal, and get their hair, nails, and clothes done at the "beauty parlor." All in all the experience was whatever someone decided to make of it. Someone in need of higher quality critical care, hospice services, or more individualized nursing might benefit from another facility but for a rehabilitation and therapy standpoint it is excellent.

It seemed like a nice facility. If they knew beforehand that family wasn't going to be visiting, they tended to neglect the client. I would drop in when I knew her daughter was our ot town, and her mom would be in a deplorable state. This seemed to be true of other clients within the facility. Many of the residents there, thankfully, had family and caregivers that showed up daily, or unexpectedly. There were always some residents that didn't have that special someone looking out for their wellbeing. In those instances, yes, the conditions tended to be deplorable. Sad, I would go home sad, after visiting my elderly friend.

My mother was there for approx 20 days and had a great experience. When calling for assistance there was less than 5 min response time. If my mother didn't like what was being served they gladly brought her something else also if she was hungry in between meals they would bring her something like a sandwich or fruit to snack on. The facility was very clean & I never smelled any "old people" orders. All the staff was very nice. The physical therapist were very good with my mother. Only drawback was that there were no phones in the rooms but they would bring you a portable phone if the patient wanted to make a call. Other than that this place is near perfect.

My father have been there for approx 10 days and having a nice experience so far. All the staff is very friendly. The physical therapist are specially very good. The facility are very clean & all "senior people" were in orders. If dad don't like what is being served they gladly brought him something else . if he is craving for anything in between meals they would arrange him something light or snack etc. When calling for assistance they response timely. One downside is that there are no phones in the rooms but they would bring you a portable phone if the patient wanted to make a call. They are good in service. God bless them!!
