My wife is in Harmony Assisted Living in Conroe. She's got dementia so she's in memory care. I'm impressed with it. It's a fairly new place. The original building has been there but they put a new wing for memory care about three months ago. I'm impressed, not only with the location, but because it's new and it's clean. It's kind of like a subdivision setting where it's not too crowded and it doesn't seem so much like a commercial building. I'm satisfied with the staff, they've been excellent. The people that run the place have answered all my questions and let me know what's going on. I'm satisfied with it. Just like any assisted living, it's expensive, and then when you go up to memory care, it gets even more expensive. I just want the best for her and, I guess, that's what she got. She's in a single room, they don't have a double bed. Her room's got a bathroom and a walk-in closet for all her stuff. It's also only three months old, so everything's fairly new. They have room for 16, and I think they only get ten or 11 people that are there right now. They have a big living area that has four TVs. Usually, in a memory care section like that, the majority of the patients are not really able to do anything, and do a whole lot. My wife is a little bit better than that. They have their meals three times a day. If they're in diapers, they get their diapers changed, and they get a shower. They have a room set aside for a beautician to come and do their thing. It's pretty nice with a big back porch where they can sit down looking out over the woods, not buildings around there. It's just kind of like out in the country. The staff is really attentive. The residents just don't sit in their rooms, somebody's looking in to make sure they're OK. They're usually out there watching TV but they do have some big tables out there where, I think, they have their activities, like if someone wants to color or put a puzzle together like that.

My father was in this facility recently until he passed and the high level of care and compassion they provided was exceptional. They not only cared for my Dad, they cared for me and my family too. The facility is a beautiful, home like setting, the caregiver to resident ratio is awesome, and the residents are treated like family. Our experience with Harmony made dealing with my fathers end of life moments so much easier.

I love Harmony Assisted Living. It was my choice for my brother. The location was very comfortable for a senior. It's immaculate. I liked the amenities and the services. I also liked the fact that they had med aides, each resident had a life alert, and the rooms were motion sensored at night. From an observation station, they could detect any movement in the room when the resident was asleep. It was very clean. They didn't have any cloth furniture. It was all leather and it's easy to clean. The place smelled magnificent.
