Food was generally good. Sometimes it was very good. I was a rehab patient. I came in completely disabled and left in a manual wheelchair. Although I was still contagious, the staff worked with me to get me functional again. During the day, the staff was very attentive. Medications were delivered on time. Food was delivered on time. You could choose to eat alone or with other patients, once I was taken off the contagious list. Physical therapy began soon after breakfast. the PT staff was enthusiastic, positive, and encouraging. They had developed a plan that would help strengthen me and prepare me for walking. At night, however, it was a different story. Staff was non-responsive to the call light, so I was reduced to calling out for help. It was not a good situation, especially since I could not move from my bed without help.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone. My mother was diagnosed with cancer and was a resident here. As her conditioned worsened, the staff ignored her. Many times I would come to visit my mother she was dirty and/or left unattended. The facility always smelled of urine and the staff took their time tending to the residents.

Cottonwood Creek didn't seem to be too concerned about taking care of their people in the nursing section. It seemed to be clean enough. I didn't see any problem with the facility. The staff just didn't seem to be responding to the needs of the patients and that they were goofing off. The rooms seemed alright.

Cottonwood Creek is a little rundown. They keep it nice and clean on the outside, but on the inside, they don't clean it that much. It needs some repairs. Like in the doorway, you can see holes in the floorboard. As for cleaning my mother's room, they don't clean it often enough, so I have to ask them about that. Otherwise, they do a good job taking good care of my mother. The staff is decent. I have had their food and it was decent too. However, my mother will rate it poorly. I did see residents playing Bingo and watching TV in the common room. However, my mother doesn't do any activities because they don't have that much for them. I wish they would do more. I don't think Cottonwood Creek is worth the cost.

The buzzers are constantly buzzing and they do not do the things they say they will during the interview. No baths daily, no two person lift as ordered and they are so severely understaffed that it takes them more than thirty minutes to respond to a patient's call button. Horrible place, but it looks nice.

I visited Cottonwood Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation. The staff was very responsive. Cottonwood is a little more of a nursing home feel. It was very clean and very well kept. Like I said, very caring individuals, but it is just a little bit more sterile. It is a different environment. The rooms basically looked like a hospital room. They have a hospital bed, two closets, a big round table, two comfortable-type sitting chair, an in-table and the table that swings across the bed. They have a TV on the wall and built-in cupboard.
