The Isle at Cedar Ridge was lovely. If it had been closer, it probably would have been my first choice. The rooms were about the size I expected and seemed to have everything that would have been necessary. The facility was in good condition. I think the amenities were fewer, but they were appropriate for the number of residents and the level of interest of the residents.

The Isle at Cedar Ridge was nice on the eyes. It was a big place, very uniform, and the landscaping was exceptional. The receptionist was pleasant, helpful, and knew what he was talking about. They were prompt and the tour guide was so nice. She had an easy, pleasant smile, and knew exactly what she was talking about. She took me through and showed me what I needed, and knew my information. Everyone was cordial and I felt at home. I met the activities director named Susan, and she's been very involved. The residents came up to her and asked what was being planned. The size of the apartments were OK and they had choices. Actually, the one she showed me, the resident had just moved out and left her stuff there. They said we could have that furniture or bring our own, or they would furnish furniture from the facility. They also had hospital beds as an option. So, we have three options there. The room was clean and spacious for a studio, and my mom wouldn't have to share her room.

The staff at The Isle at Cedar Ridge was delightful, and the facility was very nice. I didn't like the rooms or the layout quite as well as I did the other places, but the residents seemed very content there. They had a lovely dining room. I was quite impressed with it overall. I was very impressed with their exercise program. They had someone there all the time to help people with exercise. The activities were quite impressive. The 2-bedroom was really chopped up and it didn't have a living room per se, but the 1-bedroom was nice. I was impressed with the size of the closets, and the price was very good compared to the other ones we saw.

This facility is seriously understaffed. Turnover in staff is constant. Management is not maintaining facility.

This facility is currently understaffed. The care is passable most of the time, but at other times, residents have to wait for a long time (30-45 minutes) for caregivers to respond to their call button. What if it was an emergency? They need more med aides so that medication can be given close to the actual time it is prescribed. The dining room is very disorganized. Orders are lost, items on the menu are not available and the food is mediocre at best. New management will take over in the next few days, which is a cause for concern because the new management is cutting positions. I understand this is a business, but if you are in the business of providing eldercare, you should provide the best care possible. It shouldn't be all about the profit.

I liked Isle at Cedar Ridge, but they didn’t do too many outings or interesting activities. I liked the rooms. The place looked nice, but the residents were mostly women. There were a couple of couples. It was generally OK and on our list for consideration, but we are looking for continuing care for our parents.

The Isle at Cedar Ridge was the first place that we visited. The people were friendly. The décor was a little bit outdated, and it was a little dark. It was not too open, and there was not much light. However, there was nothing wrong with it.

We visited The Isle at Cedar Ridge. This whole place is five-star. They actually had my mother in their skilled nursing last fall. After she got and went home, they followed me and kept saying, ‘just let us know if you needed anything, just checking in.” So they were really proactive but they weren’t bothersome. Everybody there has been topnotch. They’re professional, caring, and responsive. The facility was like a spa. Their rooms were very nice. I saw the one-bedroom and the studio and they were both perfect. The studio is workable. It is about the size of a private nursing home room. They have an exercise room, a movie theater, and a media room with comfy chairs and the big TV. The management at The Isle is superb, just outstanding people. They’re caring and responsive.

I liked the Isle. They had a really nice building, but they did not have availability, so they had a waiting list. The staff was upfront but probably the least friendly of the ones I visited. The rooms were nice and big. The feel was more like a nice dorm or apartment building than a nursing home.

We are in a waiting list at The Isle at Cedar Ridge for my mother-in-law. It is three-stories tall; the third story is skilled nursing, and the other two is assisted living. It was a beautiful facility. It was small. I liked it the first time I walked in the door. It was new. Everything was clean. I like the ratio of what they were offering. Each has five or six rooms and each one has their own caregiver that takes care of them. They basically do a la carte services. The staff took us around the whole facility. The cost was within the price range, which was good. For the price, the condition of the facility, and the newness of it, we felt like it was a good deal. We looked over the menus, and they looked fine. As for activities, they have bingo, dominoes, and field trips. All the things that my mother-in-law likes to do currently -- i.e., Bible studies and church service -- are offered as well. Regarding the rooms, they have a little bit of everything. You can go in from like a studio to a one-bedroom apartment where it has a kitchenette, a separate living area, a separate bedroom, and a separate bathroom.
