My comments are only in respect to the Covid unit as that is the only place I experienced. My wife was there 10 days and I visited her regularly each day. Meals were normally delivered cold and normally no one would assist her so I finally started coming at lunch and dinner time to assist. There was no regular schedule for meals for example dinner might show up any time between 5 and 7:30pm. Overall the quality of the food was OK but as I said, usually cold and therefore not as appetizing. Finding a caregiver to assist with or attend to anything was a challenge and when I would find one they often were at the nurses station on their cell phones. My wife suffers from demential and incontinence. She would be left for hours without checking to see if the diaper needed changing and when I told them, sometimes they did change it and sometimes not. When I would point out something, like the diaper, that needed attention they would say they would see that it was taken care of but didn't follow through. There were crumbs of some sort on the floor between the head of my wife's bed and the wall when we arrived and they are still there today after she moved out. Housekeeping did come but only mopped/swept the traffic area, not by or under the bed or did't move the chair or wheelchair to clean those parts of the floor therefore housekeeping was marginal. I was never given contact information for anyone in a supervisory or management position in case they were needed and whenI mentioned some of these things upon discharge, I was told why didn't I say something sooner....to whom? On a couple occasions I tried calling but it was impossible to get someone to talk with. On the positive, the Med Tech seemed on top of her job and was friendly and caring. I am relieved that my wife is no longer there.

My mother-in-law was at Remarkable Healthcare of Prestonwood for rehab. The staff was nice. But they would lie to your face and tell you things that they were going to do, but they never did any of them. I'm excluding the working staff or nurses from the management because they were on their cellphones a lot and they were understaffed. She said the food was good. They had no activities available, therapy was the only one, and that's not considered an activity. They had a gym where she was going through physical therapy, which appeared to be pretty good. It's a new facility. All they do is the staff going in and changing beds, feeding them, and stuff like that, so they were pretty weak on the upkeep because they were understaffed. We didn't pay anything, Medicare took care of that.

I was physically injured while staying at their rehab section. Aids were poorly trained. Nurses were indifferent at best. Most spent their time online shopping while on duty. A common practice: If you rang for assistance, someone would come in and turn off the assistance light, and then leave-- never to return. Apparently they keep stats on how long a response takes, and this is how they avoided a low rating. Disgusting place.

Remarkable Healthcare Prestonwood is a new facility. But I was not so pleased with their service regarding calling their office after hours or on weekends - the phones weren’t answered. But the facility was fantastic. My husband did well with them though his room was not cleaned as much as it should have been. They did not have enough staff. One day, I received a call from them telling me that my husband had a fall and they are bringing him to a hospital. We went to the hospital but they weren’t there. After 45 minutes, we went to the facility to find out where my husband was. It turned out they brought him to another hospital because the first ambulance they contacted did not arrive so they called another ambulance. I was still able to talk to him at the hospital but after two hours, he passed away. After that day, this facility never bothered to call me back.

My wife has been at Remarkable Healthcare. She was there in February, and she has just come out. She seems to improve by the day. They do have the ongoing living system there as well. I think it’s very difficult to describe the staff because everybody is different. If you had a line up of 20 people, you’d find probably 19 different characters. As far as appearance, it’s very good; I think it’s only about 40 months old. It’s very modern and very newish. You have a physical therapist there, and you have like a gymnasium for exercise; plus, you have medical care.
