I cannot find one bad thing to say about LaDora. I have a friend that will need long term care for the rest of his life and this is the best place I have found for him. The staff are efficient, qualified and caring. There are many activities here and the residents are truly cared for. Go see for yourself.

The staff is lacking in knowledge and need to be better trained. Most of the staff was caring and attentive. The management is lacking in all areas. It was three days before I ever saw anyone from management. My daughter was told they were trained in ilyostomy and Urostomy care and none had a clue. My daughter had to come and assist every time my bags needed changing. Thank goodness she was close. One nurse or MA told me they looked it up on YouTube. This did not give me a level of confidence in them. One also use alcohol swabs which sent me through the roof in pain. The common areas were kept clean but room and bathroom care were lacking. They have animals (cat and dog) which is fine and I love animals but several people are allergic and they need to have those rooms marked accordingly. Summary good if monitored closely. Also over billed.

My mother has progressive dementia. I moved her here from Arkansas to be close enough to care for her. Realizing she needed more care than I could provide I was told about La Dora. My mother was in another facility briefly but the care was not what she needed, so I moved her to La Dora. My mother is so happy there and I really like the staff. Tosha is incredible with all the people there and she brightens my day every time I see her. The nurses and aids are easy to talk to and have been very helpful with my mom. Liz has been so helpful and has answered all my questions, as has Becky. It is a small place, and older, yes, but an excellent place to have a loved one get the care they need. If they have room and you have a need this is the best place.

My mother had to go to La Dora Nursing & Rehab Center right after hospital. She had a severe UTI, I didn’t know any places, they said I have to consider one of these, and I chose this place. The staff was excellent. It’s a small facility, and it’s one of the reasons I chose it. They’re very good; I have nothing bad to say about them at all. It is an older facility, but its well-kept, it's clean, and there is no smell of urine all over. The food is good; it’s a varied menu. If the patient does not like what they’re serving or whatever, there is at least two other choices that they can have. It’s nutritious, and they get all the food groups. The dining room is fine; it's a cafeteria type with chairs and tables. I have no complaints at all.

This is not the Taj Mahal. It is an older facility. HOWEVER, the CARE our mother receives here is PHENOMENAL. They monitor her health and emotional well being, and keep track of what she eats, how much she eats, and her weight. They are attentive, involved, and caring. The nurses and aids are friendly and funny and are on top of the health of the residents. The activities director, Tosha, keeps the residents -- and everyone -- entertained with her energy, enthusiasm, and weekly activities. We had mother in another "posh" facility on the border of Keller and Southlake for rehab, where she was virtually ignored and the staff didn't know her. We choose a caring, safe environment over posh anyday.

I chose La Dora Nursing and Rehab Center because it's close to home. She has to have continuous care so she has a semi-private room. There are two people there. The food and dining room are fine. The staff are all great. They have basic activities just like in other places. I liked this one better so I didn’t bother about the others. They really stood out because they're friendly and accommodating. I have no complaints.
