Beware of bed bugs! The management sent an exterminator once, and they did no follow up. My mother’s repeated requests that maintenance remove an infested sofa and area rug were ignored. Caregivers quit because of allergic reactions to bed bug bites. I had to move my mother to a hotel when the infestation became so severe, her apartment was uninhabitable. She lived there while I renovated my home for her to move in. It’s astonishing to me how little was done to address a public health hazard. My mother had to discard thousands of dollars worth of her possessions, and her requests for fair compensation were ignored. If my mother’s apartment was infested, you can be certain others in the building are as well.

I thought it was great. They were wonderful and very attentive. They answered questions. They took their time; I didn't feel rushed. They showed me the cafeteria, the library, an exercise room, the chapel, and some little garden areas outside. They showed me some activities that some of the residents were doing, like craft-type activities. Then they took us to the actual floor that my mother-in-law would be on and showed us a room. The room was like a hospital room. It was a small room with a bathroom attached, and that was pretty much it. It was private. And it would come to my mother-in-law unfurnished, so she would have to furnish it. If she wanted a small refrigerator, she would have to take that with her, too. It would just be an empty room and a bathroom. They have like where they put my mother-in-law's name on the list if she wanted to do a specific thing, and then they would come back and get her when it was time for that thing and take her to wherever it was happening. They also told us that they'd take the residents out to dinner once a week if they wanted to go. Of course, they have to pay for their own food. They would take them to a restaurant so they could go to dinner, and they would take them shopping. They have a shuttle. One day a week, they'd go to Walmart, and one day a week, to the grocery store. They would go to the movies if they wanted to go, too. I think it would be perfect for her because she would have made friends with people her own age, but she is not ready. The people we passed in the hallways weren't the ones showing us the tour made it a point to be friendly. And some of the residents even came up to us and said, 'Are you going to come and live with us here?' So some of the residents were trying to be friendly, too. The place seemed clean and appropriate.

I went to look and I thought they were all excellent. They had a lot of activity. The few staff members that I met were very nice and friendly. I saw one room, and it was okay. It was not extra-large, but it was big enough. The staff who showed me around was very sweet, caring, and understanding. The facility was clean.

I toured. I love the size of the rooms, and I love everything about that tour. When you look at it from the outside, it didn't look like much. When we went inside, I fell in love with the place. It was homey. The people were warm, and the residents made us feel very welcome. The staff was wonderful. She was excellent. The dining room is excellent. I loved it. It was spacious and was just nice all in all. They had a beauty shop, do laundry, and trash pickup. They had an exercise room at the end of the hall. They have a room for rehab if you're coming out of the hospital. I love that place.

I enjoyed the tour, and I like the facility a lot. They're great people, and it impressed me the way they were taking care of the residents there. The bedroom was one large room with a lot of closet space and a clean bathroom. The first floor has all the common areas. The second floor was for assisted living residents. The third and fourth floors were for residential living. It's for seniors or couples who don't really need assisted living at the time, but wanted to live in an apartment-type complex. They have different activities on different days of the week. They have bingo, puzzles, and exercises.
