My mother is currently a resident at Wellington. She has been for over 2 years. When my sister and I first toured the facility, we were welcomed with a very friendly staff. They were local people, with some being actual longtime friends. This was a huge factor in us choosing the facility. Mom has had consistent and quality care from the Administration, nursing, and the CNA’s. I feel having local people providing her care has been the key to making our Mom feel more comfortable and secure in her new residence. It wasn’t easy leaving her home after many years and making this her new home. My hope is she is blessed with same quality of care for the remainder of her life.

We liked Wellington Manor Assisted Living because it was very welcoming. The staff was very nice. The place was very clean and pleasant. I just overall think it would be a very nice place. The rooms were small, but the place was very attractive.

I think Wellington Manor Assisted Living is going to be a wonderful fit for my husband. The memory care was small and so they were very attentive. It's lovely and quiet. All the people were just wonderful. The least thing I liked about them was they have a waitlist, but that's also a good thing because it shows there's a demand for that facility. The dining area was very nice. The staff were all very kind and they have been there for a while. So that says that they enjoy their workplace, too. Several of them have been there for over five years.

We went to Wellington Manor Assisted Living. We were taken on a tour mainly in assisted living. They did take us back just to show us a little bit about memory care. At the time that we went for the visit, they were having some computer issues, so the main person didn't get to talk to us a lot. I just had one of the staff members take us on the tour. It's clean. They had the living room type area, dining area, courtyard, all the extra things that you normally think of when you go to a place like that. They had individual rooms and there's a suite where they had separate bedrooms, but they have a common bathroom and a kitchenette or living area. It had a wall partition and a door where they have their own individual bedroom. I like that part about it. The person that took us on the tour knew quite a bit. She had a pamphlet and had all the information that we needed. If we had questions, she let us ask the questions, but they were having some computer issues, so you could tell she was kind of stressed a little bit over that. Overall, it was good. I was pretty satisfied with it.

My mother is in Wellington Manor. We chose it because of the location. The aides are very good. They seem to be very attentive and very caring. I'm not happy they have people there who are not vaccinated, and that troubles me. They're on lockdown right now because of COVID, so they've not been able to really do anything. It's clean, but the facilities are a little sparse. They have a gym, but it's not anything that could be used. They have a salon, a dining room, and a common area.

My mother really liked Wellington Manor, but it was more than what we could do. They were super nice and super friendly. She actually got to tour it, and she loved it. It was just so expensive. It was like a little apartment. It had two bedrooms, a little kitchenette, and a common bathroom. The layout was nicer than the other place, but it was more expensive. It was very nice, but you have to completely furnish it yourself. That was kind of interesting because knowing how expensive it was, you think it would be furnished. I got to see some of their activities going on at the time. They had a lady playing piano. They were singing songs and other ones drawing pictures. They had a salon and hairstyling that you could pay extra for. I just got to see a lot more action there than I did at the other place, but that could've been because of the time of day. The staff was excellent, super nice, and very good to follow up. I had several calls since then. They had three different room layouts, more of like a private suite and two different types of shared rooms. It's extremely nice, and the one thing that struck me about that place was the building looked brand new. I never seen any other place that is as crisp, clean and sharp. I know they got a lot of stuff inside. The day that we were there, it was kinda cold so we didn't venture very far outside.

Our mother chose Wellington Manor as the place she wanted to live for an active assisted living experience. She loves the staff, her studio apartment which she decorated with her favorite things, and the care/attention that she receives. She is never lonely and she felt safe and cared for during the pandemic. They went over and beyond to keep the residents safe yet connected for their mental health. My sisters and I have such a peace of mind because we know how happy and active she is and how close they monitor her health. It has been a great experience!

We liked Wellington Manor and the style of its rooms. We also liked that it had a memory care. The staff and the accommodations are fine. The memory care is good. The cost is very good because it's much less expensive.

Wellington Manor Assisted Living is great so far. Everybody's been super nice. They bend over backwards to accommodate us. My mother seems to enjoy the food. Everything is laid out pretty nice and the rooms are around the central gathering place. She's in the memory care wing.

My mother is at Wellington Manor Assisted Living. The living environment is adequate, they have trips on a bus going to different places in the region, picnics, musical entertainment, auctions, TV, socials, and bingo. They assist her in her daily needs, bring her her mail, read to her, and clean. However, they have no medical care from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., and they need to have an RN or CPN in the evening.

I'm originally from Newport so I know a lot of the residents growing up there. I got to visit several folks at one time here in Wellington Place and I was very impressed by it. When I visited this place for my mom, everybody looked happy. The staff was very nice to me. The place was really clean and well-kept. I thought the room that I got to see was spacious too. They also have a good dining room. I really love the place. I would recommend this place to others.

First off, I want to say that I have always heard horror stories about nursing homes. I always thought that it was all a bunch of mean staff members and mean people staying there. That being said, Wellington Place changed my perception of this. The grounds on which it is located are beautiful. The staff was extremely accommodating as well. It always seemed as though people were going out of their way to ensure that the patients were well taken care of. My aunt had her own room with a television and could have visitors often. The only real negative I could find was the fact that it felt so lonely there. Perhaps more animal therapy would make it more lively.
