Parkview West Knoxville is a two-story apartment. The location is really good. It's close to everything, but it's quiet here. There's not a lot of traffic noise. There's always a lot going on. The food's good. It's only about three years old, so all the amenities and furniture is new. The staff is really great. They're very friendly and very nice. We have housekeeping come in once a week to change your bed, wash the linens, vacuum, mop, and dust the room. The housekeeping staff is good. They have breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning while the evening meal/supper is served. There's a good variety as well. Then they have yoga class, church services, and outings. They've got a beauty/barbershop, a masseuse that comes in, a spa that you can enjoy, a movie theater, and an exercise room with the machines and stuff. They're very attentive and nice. The place is very clean.

Parkview West Knoxville is a new place. It was about four years old and it's more plush. It has a movie theater, a bistro, and a pub. It's got tons of stuff and a lot of amenities. They have 100 rooms. They have a beautiful courtyard. You can pay extra for a patio and the patio is like 8 x 10, it's covered and it's gorgeous. It's nice. They do a continental breakfast in the morning in their bistro. You go down and pick it up or you can eat it there. And then you go to the dining room for dinner and there's a menu that they publish. And then you can buy lunch, but it's $5 instead of $3. The girl who gave us the tour was nice, but you could tell that she didn't know any of the residents. She was a salesperson, and that was her job. But in the other place, everybody knew each other. Their menu is a little bit more high-end. The whole facility is more high-end. So it's a newer facility with more amenities, and they reflect that in the price, which seems reasonable.

Parkview West Knoxville were building a new subdivision right next to it. We looked at a one-bedroom where its patio would be facing the area where they were doing the construction, while the two-bedroom was facing the courtyard, and it was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was that they have very narrow long halls to get to the apartment and my husband uses the wheelchair, but the rest of it was beautiful and was really nice. The staff were very nice, too, and very accommodating. They had a large bingo game going on while we were there, and the room was full of residents. They also had walking trails. It was a really pretty area. They had a workout room and a movie theater as well.

We moved into Parkview West Knoxville. I have a little dog and they were the only place where I could get an apartment that had an opening on a fenced-in green space, so I can let her out to take care of business. There are also several paved walking paths to walk her on, and that was the deciding factor. The staff is unfailingly helpful. The facility is perfectly beautiful. The food is adequate. They provide transportation to doctors' appointments. I don't drive anymore, so that was critical to me. I eat what they prepare. I have to be gluten free, and that makes it much harder to prepare food for me, but they're making a real effort, so I think that's gonna work out. It's beautiful. The environment is so beautiful. The staff is so kind and helpful, every single one of them. Not a single person has been at all unpleasant. Also, they're flexible. If I ask for something that's not quite in the program yet, they're really good about trying to work that in. It is not medical, they do not have a nurse, although you can pay to have them administer medication on a schedule if you want to, but I'm not doing that.
