The place is not safe and residents try to leave. The people do not pick up the phone and barely have any visitation hours. Do not waste your time here.

The management and staff are very rude. My brother passed away there two weeks ago and I can't get any info on how he passed or any bank info. They won't answer the phone or return calls. The place is very nasty. They need to do better.
Sad for these people

Well, I still have a family member living there,(unfortunately, Still have 4 women using 1 bathroom. Now have 9 women and 24 men. Most of the staff is wonderful however the management is not. Only have 3 women on the floor and no male orderlies and 1 manager that pretty much stays behind a closed office door. The place is very dingy and dark. Food ????

I have a family member at the location on Sam Elbow Rd in West Columbia. So Far I am NOT happy with this facility. Access to talk is limited as they are not allowed to receive phone calls before 6:00pm during the week and 4:00pm on weekends. Are they being sequestered??? Telling me those are the rules without a reason is not a thing a family member who is 1000 miles away wants to here nor hearing that my family member is being told to shut up. There is no Recreation Director on a regular basis and are pretty much left up to their own devices. I have left at least 3 phone messages and NO one has returned my calls.

I have a family member staying there. The facility staff are always asking me what they can do for me or my family member. I am able to visit any day at anytime I want without having to call ahead. The facility has always been clean when I visit. The food is always prepared on time and hot. They provide a variety of meals for the residents. I am able to call anytime I want and a staff member will let me talk to my family member. The staff will also answer any questions I have. I like this facility more compared to the others that I have seen. One thing I like about this one is that there are at least 2 staff members that live on site at various times. I think this helps with the condition of the facility since some of the staff is actually living there also. They seem to really care about the residents. I would like it if the facility made some repairs to the outside concrete "walks". Some of the concrete slabs have sunken in the ground due to age and weather. The walkway is connected with several different concrete slabs. Due to the fact that some of the slabs have sunk in the ground. It has a caused the adjoining concrete slab to stick up at least an inch out of ground. This can cause a resident to slip and fall on the concrete walkway.
