TerraBella Windsor Lake was close to where I live. At first, I thought the price fit into my brother's budget, but I was incorrect about his budget, so we're still working on that. But I enjoyed the facility. The individuals that helped us were very helpful and informative. The place was very bright and welcoming. It seemed to have a lot of activities for the residents that stay there, and a lot of assistance if they needed like physical therapy and things of that nature. The staff members were very helpful, welcoming, and informative.

TerraBella Windsor Lake was satisfactory for what we saw. It wasn't as plush or upscale as the other place, but they offered some things that the other place didn't offer like the all-inclusive package on a lot of things. I was pleased with it. It was nice, clean, and fresh. They were still doing some renovations. The person who took us on our tour was very sweet, very knowledgeable, amenable, and polite. We enjoyed her very much. We went to an office and we had some coffee. She was very thorough. They offered pretty much everything. The rooms were a bit small but very nice and clean. I have no complaints about them.

I didn't find anything I didn't like about TerraBella Windsor Lake. It's a great community and it's very clean there, and they've got friendly staff. I really liked it. The rooms were set up great and they were nice. They told me that they're in the process of adding more exercise equipment, but the exercise room that I saw actually had everything that I would need in it. It had a treadmill and a little bicycle that you could ride on. They've got a staff that would administer your medicine if you need it. They've got people that come and clean your room. They take their clients out shopping with the company vehicle. You don't have to do any driving. They're a really topnotch place. The staff are really friendly people. I didn't eat there, but I know they offer three meals a day. The dining area looked nice and clean.

TerraBella Windsor Lake was very nice. It was not in a high-traffic area, so it's away from that. They had a lot of facilities and a lot of different functions that the seniors could attend. They also provided main meals and a separate menu if they didn't like the main meals. We saw a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment and it was nice. It had a kitchen area and a little small living area. Everything looked clean and up to date. Their laundry room was on the first floor. The staff was gracious, very informative, very professional, and very friendly.

What I liked best at TerraBella Windsor Lake was the feeling that I got from the people there. It was a little bit dated and dingy looking as compared to the other facility. They didn't have carpeting in the rooms. But the people were very friendly there. A couple of residents that we spoke to, and the administration were very friendly and welcoming. I like the fact that it was all in one building so that my mother wouldn't have to go outside in order to go to the dining room. The independent living apartments were huge, bright, and very nice (the apartment itself was beautiful), but it wasn't going to work for my mother because she would have had to go outside and walk to get to the dining area, and she's too unsteady for that. I didn't have anything against them or their facility; it's just it wasn't going to work for my mother. The staff were very personable. We were there on a rainy day, but I think that the facility was a little bit depressing to me. It was dimly lit, there was no carpeting on the floor, and it was not a cozy space.

I went to TerraBella Windsor Lake and the staff wasn't prepared to give me a tour. I had an appointment and I thought that was good enough, but he said because I didn't call and confirm the appointment that he wasn't prepared to show me a two-bedroom, two-bath. He showed me a one-bedroom, which I'm not interested in. He said, "If you can come back next week, I'll get one ready." That turned me off. It was kind of stark and cold going in the front door there. I saw only one person sitting there and a big old pool table in the middle. On the other side was one person sitting over there all by himself. I didn't see a sitting area on any floor. They don't have covered parking. I asked the staff, "Where do you park?" He said, "You just park anywhere that you can find a spot." I can't do that because my husband's using a walker. I got to find a place close to the building, so that won't work for me. The receptionist was nice; all she did anyway was ask me what I was there for. However, I felt like the staff was rushing me. When he took me up there to see that one apartment, he just turned around and started back down the stairs. I said, "Don't you have one somewhere that I can see?" He said, "No, I don't have one that you can see today." He said they've got plenty of vacancies, but he said they don't show them unless they're prepared to show them. He then gave me his card and he said, "Call next week and make another appointment and come back." Today, he called me. He said, "I got a two-bedroom, two-bath ready when you want to come and see it." It's nice outside. As far as the building goes, it's nice, but I didn't see a lot of pretty greenery and flowers. There's a lot of pavement and parking.

I toured TerraBella Windsor Lake independent living in person. I remember the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the tenants willing to stop and chat with you to give their opinion of how it's like to live there. I got a chance to talk to some of them. I didn't get to see the entire place, but what I saw was good. The person that assisted me with the tour was very nice. We had a good conversation. I saw the studio and a 1-bedroom apartment. In one of the rooms (I'm not sure which of the two), he said the carpet needed cleaning. Outside of that, everything was fine. While walking to the elevators to get to see the actual apartments, I took it upon myself to stop and look into each room (like the little beauty parlor area and the gym). The tour guide did not take me into each room or give me details of the hours or whatever programs that they have. He pretty much stuck to just showing me the rooms and the apartments, and then giving me details of how much it would cost to live there. I took it upon myself to look at the other amenities. There was nothing out of place or anything like that. Another gentleman was scheduled to do the tour with me, but he was sick that day. It was the manager or the executive director that actually did the tour. It's probably why he didn't take the time to go into detail of each room or the programs. He just stuck to showing me the apartments that he felt that I would be able to afford.

TerraBella Windsor Lake was very clean and very nice. The director we met was very accommodating, very helpful, and very courteous too. What I did not like was that the shower facilities in the apartments, did not have a step over. So, you have a tendency to wash out water from the shower onto the floor, and that's not good. They will have to put a boulder up there to keep the water inside the showers that's running out of the door.

I toured TerraBella Windsor Lake, and that was nice, but the lighting needed to be adjusted. I visited the independent living area. There were people who look like they belong in an assisted living area. I saw the salon, and the people actually need to be displayed. They need people to be within these spaces. I didn't even see a physical trainer in the training room or weight room. In the salon, who's doing the hair? Those people need to be displayed. They need to offer food, and an overnight stay. They need to be available to have lunch, so you can take the food, and give the appropriate regards to the food. We need to examine the food being given, be it lunch or pretzels, but we should be able to examine the food.

My father is now at TerraBella Windsor Lake. It's very much a small community, like everybody seems to know one another. The staff is extremely attentive. They have a really nice setup for the meals. The meals are decent. It's not anything gourmet, but it certainly isn't a food that you would wonder why they are feeding them this, so I think the residents really enjoy that. They have some nice activities for them as well, like they have wine happy hours, and they have different types of people from the outside of the community to come in and offer activities for them. It is a nice place. They have physical therapy on there on staff. The apartments are a nice size. They range from studios to two-bedrooms. Ever since he's been there, he's had a two-bedroom. It's a really nice size with a full kitchen, even though he doesn't cook, but somebody who does cook might enjoy that. They have room enough for a dining area and a living room. They have an outdoor space, which is just for sitting. They have a library and a game room. In the library, they get the newspaper every day, and they have a piano, too. It's not on the high-end side, but they have a workout room and beauty facilities on site. Because my father doesn't really participate in activities, I don't know that much about them, but I think their new activities director is really trying to do a lot for them.

Food is very good. Activities are great (bingo, bridge, canasta, jeopardy, board games, outings). Staff helps with all concerns. Director is always available for counsel. Residents are friendly, helpful and caring. I will be here for a long time.

It was wonderful. It was outstanding on presentation and the showing of the place. I would recommend them. I was attracted with the three meals that they offered. Everything was excellent.

I liked it. They had a lot of patients. Their apartments were very nice. They had a game room, a library, a dining area, an outdoor patio, and independent living, which was what I liked. They had three meals a day, so you wouldn't have to do any cooking if you did not want to. The person who assisted me during the visit was very nice and very professional.

It had a nice variety of room styles available. The residents that we met were all very nice. The dining facility seemed first-rate and had different options like eating at different times during the day. We liked the location and the person who toured us around.

My wife’s sister is very happy here. My wife and I toured it and were very impressed with the size and activities. The dietary plan is very well laid out. The staff is great. She has a big one-bedroom with a fill bath, located very conveniently to the laundry and the elevator. We have eaten in the dining room, and the food is really good. She is just starting to sign up for the activities, of which they apparently have a lot, like bingo, arts and crafts, roller skating, and bowling. They also take them shopping once a week. I just think it is top notch.

I visited here it is an independent living facility. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. It has a warm environment. It would be a place that I really would consider placing my mother, but right now, we are trying to maintain her residence. With regard to the activities, I found lots of things that she could have been engaged in and have interaction with other seniors.

I enjoyed the hospitality of the workers here. My mother enjoyed the food. The rooms had enough space in them. The staff was very professional, very engaging, and gave great feedback on what they offered.

It was more independent living than an assisted living. It was OK. They had not just rooms, but apartments too. I would recommend it if you do not need a lot of services because you had to hire your own nurses, but it was very impressive. They had a lovely lobby and a library, and it was in a very top scale place. It seemed to me like they had a good staff.
