I recently moved my Mom to Inverness. And even though she is farther away from me, I am no longer anxious for her care or her safety. The staff is like family to each other, to the residents in their care here, and to the family and friends of the residents. It is the place that if you needed for a loved one but were concerned that they may not get that "assisted living" environment, then it is the right choice. I would want to live here when the time comes. It is that much and more for the person living there and for the family members also. My brother and I feel that Mom is now in a happy, healthy, and caring place. Mom deserves the best and for what is offered and for the financial fairness that is Inverness of Spartanburg, we feel truly blessed. Thank you so much Staff and Residents for MAKING IT HAPPEN EVERY DAY.

We moved my mother in to Inverness Aug. 2018. It has been a total nightmare. Under staffed. 1 med tech for the entire second floor. Food, corn dogs and cold rubbery French fries, meds never on time or to close together. Late giving showers. Decided to do a remodel, I'm sure for a tax write off because the timing stunk. This was during Christmas holidays when the residents had visitors and the room was in shambles. Came back Christmas eve night to find my mom refrigerator had been unplugged and everything had to be thrown out. The office staff is doing all they can but they need more med techs. The activities have stopped.

This place is a joke. I visited every other day in the short 2 month stay my father was there. Almost every time I went after 5pm, there was only ONE person on the floor covering over 20 people. The rest were seen outside smoking. My father was in memory care and no one wanted to deal with anything dealing with memory issues. He was sent to the hospital multiple times for things that were not even medically necessary. He threw water in the hall, they sent him to the hospital. He forgot to put close on one day, they sent him to the hospital. He wanted to be left alone one day, they sent him to the hospital! What's the point of a Memory Care unit if you don't want to deal with patients with memory issues?!?! My father was released from the facility by their own choice, and now they REFUSE to refund my money more than 1 day. I have called twice a day for weeks and left messages, no one will call me back. I finally got the home office on the phone, and there is NOTHING they can do about a refund and I have to talk to the facility. How is that suppose to happen when they REFUSE to answer a phone call and when I show up, NO ONE seems to be around who can help me. How convenient. The biggest mistake I ever made was put my father in this place. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE IF YOU CARE FOR THEM AT ALL!!

The Inverness at Spartanburg was brand-new and totally renovated. It was a little bit more expensive. They have a movie room, game room, beauty salon, snacks laid out that they could get anytime, common area, the porch with rocking chairs, patio area, and everything was just super clean. The representative was super nice and knowledgeable. Their semi-private room was too small. Their menu looked good.

I recently moved my mom to Park Place and we are very pleased with the care. After doing a lot of research about other assisted living homes in the area, Park Place gave us the best feel like home. Park place was bought by Meridian senior living and they have hired a lot of good people that really care about the residents. The food is good and they are doing a lot of activities with the residents. My mom loves sitting in the front greeting everyone and she now has friends that join her their each day.

Mom used to stay at assisted living facility in Park Place and I wasn't happy with them. They did not do any activities with them. They told me that mama left one time, but I found out that she left three times. She went to the house next door. They moved her to the memory care, but they didn't tell me until I got there. When I went to see mama they said they need to put her to memory care because she got out. I said listen: "I don't know a lot about this disease. But if some people in the assisted living some of them had a little memory problem because you have to give them their medicine. Who is to know when their problem is going to progress worse? Eventually, there should be some kind of a pin or something that they had on them to ring a bell or something to let you know that they are going outside". The food seemed to be okay. I was there when she ate several times. It's just that sometimes they would have paper plate instead of real plate and the dining room was not nice. It wasn't something they would look forward to. When I told them that I was looking for another place and when everything that I disliked about them, a couple of days before we moved mama, they had an ice cream party for the assisted living people and brought it up to mama instead of taking them down to the garden where they could have enjoyed the environment.

I chose Park Place because it's new, clean, fresh, spacious, and modern. I got a large room for my mom. Some staff were attentive and some were not. They could improve on checking in on the residents more frequently.
