Palmettos of Charleston is a place clean but dated. However, I was informed that they would be removing all of the carpets and replacing them with hardwood floors soon. The hallways are narrow too, but otherwise, it's a comfortable place. The staff has been friendly, very outgoing, and attentive. I did not try the food, but my mother cleaned her plate on her first meal and she was very pleased. I've checked their daily menu and it's adequate. There's enough choice and the portions are generous. I've observed some activities like exercises and arts and crafts as well. I believe they're under new management, so there's a change in administration and I am hoping it continues to improve.

I was in Palmettos of Charleston for a month. I wasn't particularly happy with it. I didn't like the feel of it. The staff was okay. I didn't have any problem with the staff. I was in an old room. It wasn't good or it wasn't bad. The food was good. I was mainly there trying to rehabilitate myself. I had Bingo there.

Palmettos of Charleston was nice, but it did not have a homey feel to it. They had the normal run of the mill facility, but they started to show age too, and it had a smell to it. It was clean and the rooms were of ample size.

My Aunt lives at The Palmettos and believe me we looked at a lot of places. For the money we found this to be a great option, and in many cases better than the more expensive ones. The staff could not be kinder and more helpful. My Aunt's room is very nice and has a lovely view. The facility is always clean and smells fresh, not antiseptic. It was recently remolded with very tasteful furnishings, paintings and carpet. They provide just about anything you could ask for including a family like atmosphere. My Aunt calls the staff her kids! They have outings that she enjoys, from the Dollar Tree to very nice lunch outings. From top management on down the ladder they provide a safe, friendly environment, which gives me great peace of mind.

I had a good visit at Palmettos of Charleston. They had about 60 residents, so it was certainly small. It was a little on the pricey side, but it was a nice area. The person in charge was very nice and showed us everything. The rooms were nice. Things were explained in detail and they had a number of community areas to use.

Palmettos of Charleston was more expensive, no professional met with me, and although the activities director was really good, she could not answer all my questions. It was clean, the landscape was kept up, and they do regular maintenance. They showed me a room, it was comparable with the others, and it was spacious. There were a lot of common areas. They have outings, get togethers, and Bingo parties.

We went to Palmettos of Charleston. It was even further away than the other community from where I live, and I just couldn’t fight the heavy traffic. I would describe it as very good. They were clean and seemed to have activities that kept the residents busy. The staff was wonderful and very good at showing us around and answering all of our questions. I didn’t eat the food, but the dining area was clean and looked inviting. Security was adequate. The amenities there were not as good as the amenities at the other community we saw, but they had exercises and lots of activities planned for the residents, so they had something to do just about all the time.

Palmettos of Charleston was nice. They had people come in once a month to sing and do activities. I liked the rooms, but the dining area was very small. They had corn dogs and spaghetti for the food choices, which I wasn’t too pleased about. They had an area where you can heat your food up or cook in there. They had a nice outside area, and the people were very friendly.

They're very good at Palmettos Charleston. They're very open, warm, and friendly. The rooms were nice, suitable, and it serves the purpose that I was looking for. The staff was very nice and very informative. There's no gym or pool, and that's fine. They have several activities, like games and movies. It was fine, and in the future, they will definitely be considered.
