Excellent facility that caters to the needs of their residents. Each and every staff member I have been in contact with has been helpful, caring, professional and supportive. When walking down the hall I am always greeted with a smile and a hello, my husband was at Saunders House for rehab services after a surgery and everything was great, the therapist keep me in the loop of his progress, nursing was interactive and involved always reaching out to speak with me, the rest of the support staff was equally as excellent. I would not hesitate to suggest Saunders House for a Rehab stay or long term care.

Saunders House is a diamond in the rough! I have spent many weeks at Saunders House as I am the caregiver for my Uncle who has recently had a medical set back. I have been met everyday with smiling faces and welcoming gestures. Throughout my Uncles stay I witnessed the caring and determination of the therapist who worked so hard to motivate and encourage him everyday to take one more step, I watched the caring nurses smooth the feelings of frustration and quietly encourage him. I watch a group of professionals who would not take no for an answer and arranged to have a space for our family to have Thanksgiving dinner with my Uncle at Saunders House in a beautiful room filled with light. When we arrived with all the food I was pleasantly surprised to find the room totally setup with tables and chairs along with linen tablecloths and center pieces on each table. Upon the completion of our family meal a member the activities staff came in and quietly told us to enjoy visiting that they would get the room cleaned up, what a wonderful gift to be given. I can not say enough about the entire staff at Saunders House they all truly have found their calling . I would highly recommend Saunders House for anyone looking for Short Term Rehab stay or Long Term Care.

My Husband spent two months here following surgery due to an injury. He was in the skilled nursing/rehab section. The care he received was excellent, comprehensive, caring and compassionate. The staff was positive, attentive and caring. They took the time to not only care for my husband but to care for our family as well. The Medical director, Intake nurses, unit managers, nurses, Nurses assistants, Social workers, unit clerks and therapy team treated my husband with the utmost caring. They consistently monitored his needs and worked to help him on the road to getting better. They went above and beyond to not only meet his needs but advocate for him. The front desk staff, recreation, kitchen and Housekeeping ALWAYS greeted us with a smile and caring conversation. We are thankful for their care and expertise!

Saunders House is a small nursing home with a very caring and competent staff. It is clean and cheery. There is a friendly and family atmosphere and, as principal caregiver, I was kept well informed of my sister's health and progress. I always felt welcome when I went to visit and was never given the impression that I was bothersome if I asked for a small favor or service - like finding a drink for my sister - or for myself- or a knife for a birthday cake. On weekends, you don't see the staff diminished or less care given. The food is good and there is considerable choice. There is a variety of activities and also attention to religious services and desires.
