The rooms are small.. the food they serve is not much of a meal to feed anyone n basically not even meals.. they treat patients like crap. when they need help no one seems to care to help them.. n as far as I’ve seen the facility n how they operate to me my friend needs to find a place where people actually care about their patients n one more thing the staff seems to pay more attention to their cell phones when they should pay more attention to their patients. .. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone n for some reason they never have enough staff n I wonder why

My brother’s clothing is always missing when we visit, his clothing is marked. As of date of this review all of his belongings have disappeared. This isn’t the first time. We informed the staff and they say the same thing each time…. “ well look into it”. Where are his belongings?

I'm trying to get my mother out of this facility as fast as possible. When I visit her she is soiled (every time), her bed is soaked, her diaper is days old. When I arrive at 11am her breakfast tray is untouched, they haven't wakened her to eat, haven't fed her. I've checked her meds, She has been given someone else's medications several times. When I complained, the nurse rolled her eyes & huffed-off. From the hallway I've heard patient howling: "Nurse!"... "Nurse"..."Help Me" over and over. Nobody responds. I've seen the workers concealed in niche areas glued to their devices, texting, talking, even cursing. I've seen room call lights on for more than 1 hour and no worker goes in - even when their sitting just glued to their devices. My Mother isn't given her Pain Meds, when I asked for them on her behalf I was told They've Been Signed Out and she remains in pain. When arriving I've seen nurses nudge each other after they saw me, then one of them quickly goes to my Mom's room. Her room floor has old soiled diapers on the floor. My mother has new wounds, nobody is turning her onto her side as is required. The admissions personnel somehow were able to convince us that This Place is Amazing. I feel guilty for Believing It. Transferring isn't easy but we're trying desperately

My uncle moved into the Accela Rehab and Care Center at Springfield. If your loved one has a severe health problem and you send them to their rehab or for nursing care, I would advise them to look further because this is not a good place at all. The lady that answers the phone there is very nice. I have nothing but good things to say about her. She's always been helpful in directing calls to the area where I need to be. But the entire nursing staff needs to go and be replaced. We have given this place a little over a month to get it together, and it just seems like it's going further downhill. I would not advise anyone to send their loved ones there. It's in a beautiful neighborhood, and the building is under construction. The maintenance is terrible. My uncle had been there for days without a remote for his television. His telephone doesn't work. For the 3 hours my mother was there, and after asking for housekeeping, no one came to do the bathrooms. The bathroom for guests is beautiful, nice, clean, and smells good. But it's in the patients' rooms that it's terrible. The therapists themselves are great. The rehab is done in the patient's room. They don't have any equipment for rehab.

Accela Rehab and Care Center at Springfield was very helpful. It's a nursing home and rehab in one. I saw the entire building. I walked in, I was greeted, I waited a few minutes for the tour person to come, and she walked me through. We started with the backyard, walked through the main floor which is where my mom would be staying, and we walked up to the floor above that for dementia patients and people who are needing more attentive care or one-on-one. Then, we went down to the ground floor, and she showed me the therapy, the cafeteria, the rec rooms, and the activity center. There are a few cosmetic things that needed to be updated, but otherwise, the attention to the patients from the staff was excellent. I couldn't believe everybody was on a first-name basis. They had a good repertoire, and it seemed like a very efficient place.

I have called numerous times to the Administration regarding the care of my brother regarding Covid. Left 3 messages yo the head Administrator and have no got any return call. The previous owners would have gotten back to me within hours. Get get information regarding why medicine is not being prescribed to combat symptoms of covid. The new ownership has a lot to be desired. Next call will be to Department of Aging.

I think this center makes every effort to provide the best care possible. my Dad's complaints are sometimes the food and his room mate, but I feel it is a good place with caring workers.
