We placed my mom here December 2019. She was struggling with senility and could no longer live alone. After visiting several local facilities, we chose Kings. It impressed us that it looked like a home. Many of the higher priced homes in the area looked like a hallway that simply had a row of doors that led to the rooms. At Kings, the staff is right there near the residents. They aren't far away at all if your loved one needs help. Their staff is so attentive and caring to everyone. My mom loved to eat and these ladies are excellent cooks and cook from scratch. This means so much to the residents. My mom did pass away in October. She had Hospice there also to help but I had peace of mind that she did not die alone. I have health problems and couldn't be there with her. A friend of mine has a father who was in a local nursing home paying thousands a month. He was not getting the care he needed and kept ending up in the hospital. I told him about Kings. He went the next day and his father moved in a few days later. His Dad is very happy now and I'm glad I could recommend Kings to them. You will not be disappointed if you choose Kings for your loved one.

King's Personal Care Home is like a large home. I think there' a maximum of ten clients. It's very home-like, small, and nice. They have home-cooked food. It's not a modern home, it's like an old country home. It's probably word of mouth that sells them. It's an old home that has several bedrooms. The one complaint my mother had about it was that the lighting was not bright enough in the common area, but this is the kind of place where you actually go to a big table in the kitchen and sit around it and eat. You have the option of eating in your room if you're not up to joining the crowd. The staff there, too, is very dedicated, and you could tell that the people living there knew them well, appreciated, and trusted them. They have the different levels that they would care for there, too. I really liked it. It has an old-fashioned interior, but everyone seemed to have their comfy recliner in the common area. They had to share bathrooms, but there seemed to be an adequate amount. I think it was two or three people to a bathroom. The value is probably the most cost effective out all of them we saw. I give it a four simply because of the the facility being older, although it was clean and easy to get around. It has beautiful outside views and a big wrap around porch that is screened in. It's personal care. My uncle's living there now. He absolutely loves the place and loves the food. The staff is is really fantastic. He's had some health issues that they managed to pick up on and get taken care of. It's been a godsend for him. I saw their calendar, so they have activities listed for every day. Apparently, there's some crafting people that go from facility to facility in that area. They have options to sit in their room and watch TV if that's what they want, or to come out to the common rooms and do that. I didn't witness any activities though.

We went to visit King's Personal Care Home, and it was much smaller. There were hardly any men there. There were only like two men and all the rest were women. It was a nice assisted living facility, though. It seemed nice and it was clean, but there wasn't much going on. Everybody just sat there. It seemed kind of dull compared to my husband's current home. Everybody was really nice, and they showed me around. I investigated, and I heard that they were looking to sell. I don't want him to get used to one thing and then have it be sold to someone else. The rooms had two dressers, a single bed, a closet, and a TV.
