My friend has moved into Beatty Pointe Village. She likes it. She has a large efficiency, and it's nice. It's just the size that she wanted. It's not like an institutional place. They have a nice dining room and three meals a day. If you don't like what they have on the menu, you can ask for something else. If I had to go to one, I would go there. The place is beautiful. They have a gym, a beauty shop, a gift shop, and laundry. They have all the amenities that you would want and they take them on a bus. They take them all over the place, shopping, to bingo, to casinos, and movies. They do a lot for them and they have something going on every day up there. I'm only eight minutes from her, so I go to see her once a week or twice a week. There's a small efficiency and a large efficiency. She got the large one. There's a kitchenette in it, a full-size refrigerator, and a sink. There's no range in it. She could get her own microwave, but she doesn't want to. There are two big closets with sliding doors and two windows. She has a twin bed in there, a recliner, an end table, and a little dresser. It's very nice for her. It's just the right size for her. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it's something different every day. If you don't like what's on the menu, they have an alternative, and then they have a buffet also. The staff is very nice. The food was very good. I was in there for lunch with her last week, and they had pepper steak, rice, cauliflower, beans, and a salad. For dessert, they had ice cream or sherbet, and it was very good. It's very well worth it. I have two cousins in there. It's nice that when I go to visit my friend, then I visit my cousins.

The food was very tasty. It was very good food. It was impressive the way they presented it.

Disappointed with live-in Mgt

Very disappointed with the live in mgt. They LOVE to use the “we are an independent facility” even using it to explain why I wasn’t notified when my father, who is a severe diabetic, didn’t show for meals for 3-4 days and ended up needing paramedics!

I liked everything about Beatty Pointe Village and so did my husband. The rooms were spacious enough, and they have three meals a day, which really appeals to my husband because he likes eating out. The doctors I'm seeing are in the area, but the only drawback is that my husband is showing signs of dementia, and this community doesn't cover that. I talked to the people who live there, and they seem happy. They raved about the food.

This is a first class senior independent living facility. My wife and I have been visiting Beatty regularly for over two years. The pros begin with the mangers and the staff. Renee and husband John are top notch people. Christen is their right hand administrator and the other staff members are also very good. The facility is always very clean. The people have a lot of activities and the staff brings in various musical entertainers to add to the residents enjoyment. The wait staff is very well trained and are very respectful of the elderly population. On the negative side is the food. It is not all bad but you would think there would be a much healthier offering then what we have experienced. Most residents will tell you the food was better a few years ago than it is today. There is way too much fried food and sugar served. There is also a lot of red meat and other high fat items such as french fries and pizza. The salads are always fresh and served with most dinners. Overall I would give Beatty a high grade but would like to see some improvements in their food.

Beatty Pointe Village was on a smaller scale. Not too many of them had patios, but it was very nice. The people were great. They had activities and a little bit of everything. The staff was very nice. They had Bingo, a fire pit where they make s'mores outside, and a beautiful large patio for the people.

My mother was at Beatty Pointe, and it was actually an independent living facility, but I had an in-house nurse. I was directed by the doctor who said my mom was in a dementia state and getting to be non-responsive and, secondly, Beatty Pointe was well within our budget. The staff was very excellent. Everything was good. They provided meals for her and took care of her, so it was really good.

We found Beatty Pointe Village for my mother. We chose it because right now she doesn't need assisted living. The staff seemed very helpful and accommodating. They had lots of activities, and she would be going on a efficiency room. It is not the same as having a house, but it is nice. The dining room was clean, and the food looked good. That was the one she wanted go in because she knew people there.

A friend of mine had a friend at the Beatty Pointe, so we just stopped by, looked at it, and went on a tour. It didn't appeal to me as much. I didn't like the rooms as well the apartment. I just didn't think they had as many amenities as the other place I've looked at.

I went to Betty Pointe Village because I was looking for a place to move in and it was just two minutes from my house. They served three meals in a day and ate restaurant-style. There were clean linens on the room and light housekeeping was done for you. Somebody would wash your clothes at an extra charge of six dollars. The food was delicious and tasty. The staff were very amenable and the place was really nice.
