Country Meadows is a wonderful home. My mother lived in independent living and my father needed more care in Pathways. And my mother-in-law currently lives in Connections. My husband loved CM so much after seeing my parents there, he moved his mother to CM. They all love / loved living at Country Meadows. The staff are all fantastic. My husband and I and our extended family are so grateful for CM and we give it our highest recommendation.

Country Meadows of Hershey is a wonderful assisted living facility. The staff is amazing and they took great care of my mom during the last year of her life. She enjoyed the daily exercise classes with Eugene, the weekly therapy dog visits, the friends that she made there as well as the nursing and support staff. Our family had peace of mind that she was being taken care of by a fantastic group of people. They took the time to really get to know her and connect with her on a personal level. When it’s my time to need assistance, I would have no hesitation in moving there myself. Outstanding experience.

We visited the Country Meadows of Hershey. It was a very lovely facility with a lot of amenities. They have art and painting, they have a library and they do exercises. They gave us a wrap sandwich as a sample of their food, and it was a very nice sandwich. I don't think that the people were eating wrap sandwiches that day, it was just their attempt to let us taste their food. The staff members were very pleasant and very helpful, any question that you asked, they would go out of their way to attempt to answer it. The thing that I like the least about them is the price because it's one of the more expensive facilities. The thing that I like the best was the physical aspect of the facility. I liked the building the best.

We toured the Country Meadows of Hershey and they were very friendly. My parents just loved the environment and felt very at home there. It was clean. All of the staff, not just the staff that was giving us the tour, was very friendly. They were respectful, too. There were nurses there to take care of the situation in a very quick, efficient, and professional manner. And then they just went back to their daily routine. It was very, very nice. I would say my parents would give them a five because there was a dog park. They also have a fitness room, a salon, and therapies there.

My mother is gonna be moving into Country Meadows of Hershey. It's very homey. It's small. The person that we spoke to was very informative and very helpful. We were there for two-and-a-half hours and she showed us everything and gave us a whole bunch of information on pricing. I talked to the residents, and they offered their insight on how they like living there without even asking them any questions. Everything seemed really clean and well taken care of, and everybody seemed really friendly. The apartment that we were shown for my mom was very close and accessible to the elevator, so she didn't have to walk very far with her walker. Everything just seemed really close. The local grocery store, local pharmacy, or Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health Medical Group, family practice, and other giant food store, and Fulton Bank are all within the area. There's Hershey Playhouse right across the driveway there that the residents can go or preview plays before they're actually shown at the Hershey Community Theater. The prices were actually a little bit less than the other ones that we had checked into, and they seemed to have the same or more amenities that were included in the cost. The main thing was everybody seemed so really friendly, and it seemed more like a home environment for my mom versus any type of nursing care facility or something like that. The apartment was very nice and newly renovated. It had a fairly decent-sized kitchen and U-shaped design. It had a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a full-sized range, a place to put a countertop microwave, and a walk-in closet with a full-sized washer and dryer along with the shelves there. The sitting area/living room area was a decent size. The bedroom was off of the living room closed off by French doors with a 12-foot of wall-to-wall closet space. The bathroom had a real low threshold walk-in shower and had lots of grab bars. It's equipped with medical alert devices if my mom would need to get in touch with somebody. When they get up in the morning up until 11:30, they have to notify the front desk that they're up and about, and if they don't hear from the resident by 11:30, they personally go to their apartment to check to make sure that they're OK. Everything just seemed very nice. They had their own private chef that prepares all the meals there, and he's open to suggestions from the residents if they would like him to prepare a special type of meal. If the resident doesn't like the meal that they're having that day, there are numerous other options for them to choose from at no additional cost or anything. The dining area was very nice with very comfortable tables. Everything is brought to the table for the people. It's not like a buffet-style where you have to get your food. They actually bring it to you, which helps, especially people who get around with walkers. They have a snack bar area that's available 24-hours a day, seven days a week where they can get drinks, different types of snacks, and ice cream. There's a library and a mail delivery room, and they're all relatively close to the elevator as far as accessing them. They have an outside patio deck with tables for the residents. Everything looked really clean. They take care of maintenance, linen service, and housekeeping every week. Everything was spotless. The staff was very informative, very polite, very personable, and everybody was very friendly. She spent two-and-a-half hours with us going over everything, answering any questions we had, talking to the residents as they were walking by, and she knew all the residents by name. I had seen the receptionist and another office person there, and they all seemed very friendly. From what I could see from the outside and inside, the appearance, the safety protocols as far as grab bars and things like that, and their protocol for COVID, I would give them a five-star rating.

My mother has been at Country Meadows Hershey going on 6 years now. The entire staff from Director to aids are the most compassionate people I have ever met. They are in contact with me and my wife with the slightest issue keeping us informed and listening to our input on care issues. The staff knows her name and I believe every residents name. This shows me their commitment to the residents. Place yourself or your loved ones there and feel assured they will provide care as you would for your loved ones. We are placing my wife's parents there for their care now.

I am going to Country Meadows - Hershey. It felt homey there. I felt comfortable. I just felt like there was a lot for me in that place. The staff was very friendly, very nice, very helpful, and accommodating. I liked it very much. I haven't tried the food yet, but the menu looked very nice. They had an outside space, and it was in a very nice area. There were a lot of walking paths and benches to sit on. They had a full kitchen, a refrigerator, a microwave, a stove, a washer, and a dryer.

I liked Country Meadows of Hershey very much. It was very nice. They had two buildings with a nice exercise room and several dining areas with happy hour. However, I didn't feel that comfortable there. The studio apartment was a little bit bigger, and there were more amenities. You can have a small dog or a cat. The staff I met was very friendly and very nice. The menu looked fantastic. It was a beautiful place. They had a bistro as well, which was really nice.

Country Meadows of Hershey is a beautiful, clean place but way too expensive for me. When we went there, I saw that they have a big, open group room. They have music performances, bingo, some bus trips, and always have something going on. Their staff is friendly. They have a nice restaurant-style dining area.

We appreciate your stopping by. Our price might seem high at first, however, when you factor in that our pricing includes rent, meals, utilities, entertainment, transportation and several other items, the numbers usually work out in the prospective resident's favor. Please pay us a visit again, perhaps come by for lunch. Thank you for your note.

I visited Country Meadows of Hersey. It was very nice. They had memory care, and it was convenient. The facility and grounds was clean, very up-to-date, and very comfortable. The staff was attentive. The rooms that we saw had their own bathrooms. They were very nice and very safe with wide doors and rails. They were very good for seniors. The dining room was very nice, and it had tablecloths. The location is very quiet and nice. We had some interaction with the residents, and they were very happy. There were activities and I thought they had bingo, puzzles, they had trips somewhere, movies, they had some guest speakers, and there was also some religious activities. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

The lady who gave me the tour at Country Meadows of Hershey was very nice. She answered all my questions and had all the paperwork set up for me. She took me to the buildings, and they look good. I also looked at the rooms, and they are very nice. They have washers and dryers in each room. The facility is very clean, and it looks like everybody enjoys being there.

We don’t like the apartments of Country Meadows because they are away from the main hall. During the winter time they don’t shovel the snow and you would have to walk in the snow to the main entrance of the building to eat. That is a bit of walking for me and my wife as I had a stroke and I can't do a lot of walking. As far as I can remember, their rooms are sufficient and the facility is very clean.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately it appears you have incorrect information about our retirement community. As for snow removal, we are proud of our maintenance team which shovels and plows snow during every storm, reporting any time of the day and/or night to clear sidewalks and driveways to ensure the safety of residents, guests and co-workers.
Our main buildings offer several dining rooms for residents to enjoy dinner without ever having to leave the building in which they reside. We do have a few smaller buildings which offer just four apartments each. Those residents do have a very short walk to dinner. Residents without mobility issues live in those apartments. Please pay us another visit so we can correct any misinformation.

I chose Country Meadows for my parents because it's very close to my house. It's also close to Hershey Medical Center, so care is more convenient. The staff there are excellent and very friendly. Their interactions with the residents are always good. They are always trying to get my parents involved in getting out not settling in their rooms. My parents like them. For activities, they have bingo, movies and some religious activities. They also like the food they serve there and they're much happier being in that facility. I would recommend this place.
