Don't be fooled by the friendly sales people and lovely facility. The staff turnover is constant and never enough. The cleaning only consists of floors and bathroom, when they have time. Laundry is done when you ask them to do it and everyting is thrown into one load(sheets, rugs, under clothes, etc). Food has fancy names but it's cold, overcooked and sometimes not sure exactly what it is. Nurses don't even know the residents or take part in their care. Sometimes my mother's room doesn"t have heat or hot water in her sink. Activities they offer don't always happen. The place is way overpriced for what they provide.

I visited this facility

I toured Harmony At Hershey. It was beautiful. It was new, very clean, large, and overwhelming in all of the amenities. The staff was very accommodating. As for the food, there were four in the group, three out of the four I thought was very good.

I visited this facility

We visited Harmony At Hershey. It was okay, but it's a multistory building where you have to use an elevator, and the hallways were pretty long. Additionally, the number of seniors it housed was a little too high for us. The rooms were very beautiful. It's a little more expensive, and they have a lot of a la carte extras. You pay more for each thing, whereas other places include laundry and cleaning services. The amenities are very nice. They have hair salons, a movie theater, outdoor space, and other nice features. They also have a game room, which is a bit larger than the ones at other places. Lisa was very knowledgeable, and it's a newer building.

My parents never moved there. After learning that the levels of care would be determined after they moved in they were worried about the finances. The $2100 community fee was not returned since they didn't give 72 hour notice. The letter said they would "waive" the fee if they decided to join the community in the future. Can't waive something that was already paid. Just because something is legal does not mean it is ethical or moral. If this is how they do business I can only imagine what the care would have been like. Look elsewhere.

My father is in Personal Care at this facility. Be very careful sending your loved one here. It looks good on the outside but it's rotten at the core. They have clearly prioritized form over substance. The facilities look good, but the food is horrendous, and the care is even worse. They have turned over their executive staff 3x in the past year, and the medtech / caregiving staff is just as bad. They clearly do not know how to hire and retain people, and it shows in their care delivery. They forget to give meds when needed, and don't deliver the most basic of services that we are paying for -- like cleaning the apartment regularly, or taking out the trash. If you have a paid caregiver on top of that coming in, they will check out even more.

Harmony At Hershey was a lovely place. The facility was well-kept. The tour was excellent. The thing with Harmony is that it's a little bit further than I wanted to go. I was hoping to stay closer. The staff was very personable. He informed us very well about everything. He was very good at speaking and making us feel comfortable. Everything was excellent. The residents were very friendly. They were happy. It was a good atmosphere.

Apartments are spacious, but poorly built. Many roof leaks causing major damage to residents’ personal property, water and rlectric shut downs for repairs. Monthly calendar for daily activities, mostly canceled or just listing the daily list for puzzles. Lack of communication between and with staff. Weekly shopping trip, very limited activities.

I visited this facility

I visited Harmony at Hershey. It is a beautiful, beautiful community. It's brand new. They had it designed so that it would look more like a hotel than a long-term care facility. The residents were all very engaged and very happy. It was Chinese New Year, so they were doing a themed dinner. The rooms were gorgeous. This was the most expensive of the ones I visited. The food smelled wonderful while I was there. They have a nice movie theater. The dining room was gorgeous. They had a pub where they had happy hour. They had a nice fitness center and a library. They have a beauty salon. Everybody was very happy. The staff all seemed to be very positive and very personable. I was impressed with what they were doing with them in the memory care section. It's extremely clean.

I visited this facility

We toured Harmony at Hershey. It was a great facility. They had three different sizes of rooms that you could choose from. They showed us the food menu, but we did not have a meal. They had activities every day. They had a card room, a pool table, a movie room, a reading room, and a room for arts and crafts. They had a bar but they only served coffee and stuff. They offered the travel to the doctor services, they explained how it's within a certain amount of miles, and if it's over those miles, they get charged. They explained nursing care. There were pull cords in the rooms, near the bathrooms, and throughout the apartment. If you run into an emergency, you pull the cord, or they have wristbands that they can wear. Keith, the man who took us on the tour, was fantastic at explaining everything to us. He was really good and very helpful.

I visited this facility

I toured Harmony at Hershey. They let us try some of the food, and the food was excellent. What I like the least about them was their location even though it's a very lovely location. We were looking for something between us and the V.A. facility in Lebanon, and this facility is a little out of the way. The dining area was beautiful, there are 4 to a table, it had tablecloths, and it was just a delightful facility. The staff that we met were very pleasant. They showed us a single-resident room, it was pretty straightforward with a window at the end. They do exercise, they had a library and things like arts and crafts.

I visited this facility

We toured Harmony at Hershey and I liked it the best. My parents didn't like it because they felt that it didn't feel very homey to them. It felt more like a hotel, and they didn't feel like it was a very home-like environment. The staff were very friendly and very nice. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. However, I didn't see as many staff here as I did in another place we toured. Everything was super clean and very new and updated. I think that was very nice. They had a gym, therapies, salon, and movie theater. They also had walking paths.

I toured Harmony At Hershey. I like the spacious rooms for independent living, the cleanliness, and the staffing. It's well-staffed. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable and thorough and gave me a lot of time to ask questions. They have a beauty shop, a library, and a chapel. It was clean. It felt homey.

I visited this facility

I toured Harmony at Hershey assisted living. The place is gorgeous and it was very well laid out. They were closed down at the time of our visit so they weren't accepting anyone new. I appreciated that they told me ahead of time rather than just taking people that they couldn't take care of. I was appreciative that they were taking care of the people that they have there instead of just overloading their workers. Honestly, I like their management. The person who assisted me was one of the people who helped decide on that so I appreciated his honesty and integrity. He gave me the tour and he told me that they'd probably be closed down for a little bit until they get more staff. They have brought people up from North Carolina to help them with the staffing so that everybody there was secure. The place was amazing and honestly, we had thought about just going on the waiting list, but my mom wanted to move and get out of her current place a little quicker.

I would rate Harmony At Hershey as outstanding, I just like everything. The layout, the room, everything is brand-sparkling-new and well-kept. The assistant there or the executive director, took us around. We got literature there and it's very well-kept. There were few people there, you don't see that many but they're very cordial and nice people. The place is impeccable, it's just outstanding. They have walking paths that you can go.
