I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Out dated which seems to make it harder to clean areas. For some reason it's hard for them to keep good staff. Always moving residents from room to room? Hard to speak with family member and friends unless they have their own cell because no room phones available.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My Mom was at this facility 2 years ago for rehab following a long hospital stay. I feel the rehab unit was great; my Mom was incouraged, yet treated with respect to her particular mood that day. She had a private room for rehab, the food was great, and the staff was always smiling and pleasant. For all the reasons from her stay for rehab, our family brought Mom back to Stonebridge for long term care. Mom now has a room mate who is just great. She keeps a watchfull eye on Mom and helps her when she can. The administrative staff did a wonderful job in choosing the right person to be Mom's buddy. I have had all positive experiences with the administrative staff and floor staff, they all are happy to help with what they can. I have had so many new things to learn with long term care, and the girl with whom I work in the office has been very helpful and patient with my learning experience The activities person is just awesome. He goes the extra mile to keep the residents jumping! Last evening there was a Christmas party that was done with grace and respect of both the residents, family and friends. There was a choir sing along that was a blast. Mom has been out on several outings that the activities person plans and participates with. This spring there was a prom walk for the residents. Every facility has their good and not so good things' but, Stonebridge is by far the place I would want to go to myself. That being said, I give all thumbs up for this home.

Would Recomend.

There is no place like home! Every medical profession is stretched but yet Skilled nursing facilities are the most criticized. My dad and my brother were both at Stonebridge and we were very pleased. Staff very, polite, friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Building and grounds very clean. Everyone forgets that there are other residents that need care as well and things are run differently in a skilled nursing facility, rehab than a hospital or at your private home. Hope to never need their services again but if ever faced with the decision again our only choice will be Stonebridge.

I am/was a resident of this facility

My stay at Stonebridge was such a positive experience. I left stronger and was able to return home in just a few weeks. The staff are wonderful, they went above and beyond to try to make my stay there a little more like home. The building is beautiful and they keep you busy with activities. There was live music, games and socials, and of course BINGO. I have read some negative comments about this place, but something must have changed. Any concern I had was handled right away, I didn't even get that kind of service at the hospital.

I visited this facility

My mother and her friend were both in this facility at different times. I was there with my mother in 2011 and there with her friend this past summer. It has drastically went down hill in that time. The person who did the paperwork was condescending and talked to my friend like she was an idiot. The administrator was the same person and he didn't seem to care about concerns that I shared with him or my friend. The food isn't bad and they try to provide a variety of activities. The therapists work hard, but heaven forbid you don't feel well one day. They force you to go anyway. I will say it seemed clean and well maintained. Just very poorly managed in the front office. There used to be an older lady in the front office that seemed to actually care about people. I guess she retired.

My mother hurt her leg and was in Stonebridge Health & Rehab Center for two months, so I got to see how things were. We liked it a lot and loved the people there. The staff and the people were very nice and very helpful, but we couldn’t make permanent arrangements for my mother because they’re very expensive. It’s a very small facility, but it’s a lovely place. I’ve seen and smelled their food; my mother loved it. My sister has tried it out, and she liked it, too. They have lovely activities, like church service, bingo, crafts, and entertainment. They have a little library where you could borrow books to read. They provide transportation to the doctors and to different trips or outings.

Friend of mine is there. I thing poor management from the top. Its gotten progressively worse since changed hands. No ginger-ale for over a week, (really its a nursing home).Always under staffed. I'm not very impressed with people in charge there. Wouldn't want my family there/

Incredibly high turnover and terrible administration! After repeated requests for attention to my father's room (ants), his rehab program, and his wound vac, we didn't get a response from the staff but a call to the county finally prompted a worthless visit from the administrator. This place is deplorable!

Stonebridge Nursing home is a clean facility. My mother was in this facility for about two years. At first this place seemed like a decent place. They have a lot of young kids that work there. My mom would tell me stories about who was nice and which nurses were so mean she said she just wanted to die. She has her leg amputated and open heart surgery so she couldnt do much for herself while she was in rehab. They were rolling her over to clean her bed and my mom thought she was going to slide off the edge of the bed and she just grabbed the one girls leg and the girl yelled at her and told her not to touch her. Some times I would go in to visit and she would be sitting in her same dirty sheets that she was in the weekend before. I would tie a not in the sheets to see if they changed them and they didn't. There was times when they wouldn't bring her a drink in the middle of the night. My mom was turned from side to side like she was suppose to be. She had got so many bed sore in that they required surgery. One thing that they do have is a nice kitchen. The kitchen/dinning room is clean and well organized. Bathrooms throughout seem to all also be clean. On many occasions my mom has had some of her jewelry down to stuffed animals stolen from her room. She went and did crafts only when family was there to take her to the craft room. All in all I wouldn't send another family member back to this facility. They have other rooms other then crafts. They have a music room and a place were you can go to watch movies. Landscaping out side has always been ok nothing special but just enough to make it look nice outside.
